Getting in touch with them was not that easy. The installation was good and the pricing was good, but it was hard to get together over the phone and they had a problem processing our credit card. The technician was great but the office was not as good.

They were prompt and courteous, and did a good job of explaining the details. I had to pay extra to upgrade my set-up to code (I had a "grease tube" thing going on and no earthquake straps), and I was happy to do that. I've owned my home for 1 year, and I knew when I bought it that the previous owners had skimped on a few things like this. Looking at prices from other companies, I'm convinced that I still got an extremely good, competitive deal on the water heater.

Fabulous?? Gordon was on time. Totally professional, solved installation problems, unforeseen. Was a perfectionist. Was smart and answered all questions??would totally recommend him?..

It took about two weeks to get it installed. When they went to install this on my rental property, they charged an extra $300 to bring it to code. I felt the price was the same for calling out a contractor and it didn’t seem like a deal.

Fast, excellent replacement, but a lot of hidden extra costs...drip pan, belt, ducting etc etc. Not cheap. Still good solid result.

Installed flow-through water heater Nov 2010. Additional work was needed from 3rd party to pass city inspection.

Everything went fine. They came out right away. They were very timely. The guys were fine. They did a good job. I haven't received my warranty yet.

We were very pleased with the service we received - They kept us informed, took care of permits and inspections, and were very kind while explaining why our gas direct vent water heater was twice the cost of normal roof vented systems. We would hire them again.

Everything went smoothly, no problems whatsoever. The only exception to this is that the water heater did not qualify for an energy efficiency rebate from the power company. I didn't ask, but I assumed that since the water heater I was replacing was 15 years old, this one would be up to the new standards. Otherwise, very professional and neat.

I purchased a $200.00 discount for $100.00 from Angie's List for a water heater replacement, from fast water heater co.. That same night I discovered that the water heater was just leaking from the drain on the bottom of the heater. I was able to fix it myself. I called fast water heater that night to tell them I thought I had it fixed & cancelled the order the next morning. It was no problem cancelling the order but needed to get my refund for the $100.00 from Angie's List.

After another company installed the wrong kind of water heater which I had to have replaced. Fast Water Heater Company performed the warranty and was able to correct the issue by installing the right natural gas water heater with the proper ventilation capable of working accordingly. The technician arrived prepared; he was polite and professional as well as efficient in his work. The work also had to be inspected, which it did indeed pass and was certified by the Department of Labor and Industries.

They were on time and installed in about 2 hours. Went very well. Would recommend them to anyone.

From start to finish, this was a real professional job. I appreciated the confirmation phone call from FAST upon purchasing the Angie's List Deal. More importantly, Mitch, the technician who performed the work was very clean, worked hard, and made sure the water heater was installed according to City of Bellevue's permit requirements. My old water heater was quite large and installed in a basement that was subsequently remodeled. The old water heater was barely able to squeeze through the newly built closet enclosure. Mitch made sure he got that old water heater out by removing the door and not making any scratch or spill on the newly carpeted floors. Mitch also laid drop cloths throughout my basement to make sure no water leaked onto my floors. Mitch explained every step he was doing and I was glad he was performing my installation. The cost came up a little more than the original $895 because Mitch had to install more bracing for the water heater according to seismic requirements. I don't mind paying a little bit more knowing that my water heater was professionally installed and I would enjoy my new water heater in the years to come.

I got a "special" for $899 but they tallied up a host of other charges -- $400 more. In the end I ended up paying the same as a quote I had gotten from local provider. The installer who came was also fairly rude about the additional charges.

In Nov. 2012 we purchased a gas hot water heater from Home Depot. It was installed by Fast Water Heater per their arrangement with Home Depot. In mid-December 2013, we started having problems with the pilot light continually going out. On 12/26/13 we had Fast Water Heater send someone out to our house to look at the water heater and diagnose the problem. They gave us an appointment window of several hours when the technician was supposed to show up and they said the technician would call when he was on his way to our house. The technician did not call and arrived 45 minutes before the appointment window. The technician was very friendly and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem (the gas pressure switch needed to be replaced) but said he would have to order the part and could install it on 12/28/13. On 12/28/13, the technician arrived within the appointment window but again did not call ahead. The technician replaced the gas pressure switch and everything was working fine. Later that same day, the exhaust fan for the hot water heater started to run continuously instead of shutting off when it was supposed to. We called Fast Water Heater again to come back out and look at water heater again. On 12/29/13, the same technician came back - this time before the appointment window but he did call ahead to let us know he was on the way. It turns out there were two problems - the wires to the gas pressure switch were loose and too heavy and needed to be replaced and the new gas pressure switch that was installed the day before was defective and not working properly. He replaced the wires to the gas pressure switch but again had to try to find a replacement gas pressure switch. On 12/30/14, the technician called to let us know he had found a replacement gas pressure switch and made arrangements to install it on 01/01/14 (normally his day off). On 01/01/14, the same technician came back to install the replacement gas pressure switch. He arrived within the appointment window and called ahead of time. Everything looks like it is finally working fine now. We were only charged for the cost of one gas pressure switch and not for the multiple visits. In spite of the delays with the defective part and trying to find a replacement for it - we were VERY impressed with and appreciative of the technician who was persistent in trying to diagnose and fix the problem which was complicated by the way that the water heater exhaust was vented (due to how our older house is constructed). The technician wasn't satisfied until we were satisfied. He went out of his way to try to find the necessary replacement part and to install it as soon as possible - even on his day off.

They did the installation of a electric water heater. This was done in a home that we just moved out of. We vacated the house, and we found out that the water heater was leaking. We found out the closet had been built around the water heater as well and this could not get the water heater out. They waited while my husband tore apart the closet and then they installed the electric water heater for us. I am glad this company didn’t leave while my husband ripped that out.

They were fast. When we called, they were here the same day.

The price is advertised for $799. It does say that there are some added cost but does not give you an idea of what the cost could be. So you can see the actual cost was close to double advertised cost. There are state/county codes must meet. Suggest they give more detailed itemized cost on this to give more realistic cost so the purchaser can know if possible to pay that price at the time.

My heater died on a Friday evening. Came home to a garage floor covered w/ rust-colored water. Called @ 8am the next morning - Saturday - to see if they could come and install a new water heater. Scheduled a time between 12-2pm. Our installer's name was Mitch. He arrived in the time window promised. Old water heater removed (18 yrs old). I got a new 50 gal 10yr warranty GE water heater. Additional things were done up to the City of Bellevue code which added to the price. You can't avoid that. Also included a $55 permit which they apply for you. Less than 2.5 hrs later, we had hot water. This was a relief because we were having a party that evening. The work area was cleaned up nicely and everything looked good to me. Mitch went over everything and answered a few of my questions. I would use this company again in the future. *** BTW, the price I paid included the $75 Angie's List coupon I was able to use toward the installation.

Bought the Big Deal on Angie's List and got a response the same day. Talked to a patient person named Bret who answered all of my questions. He explained to me about the parts on an estimate I already had and that city/county??? codes would have to be addressed if anything was out of compliance. The day of the scheduled work Chris, the technician, called ahead of time to let me know he would arrive in about 20 minutes and he did. Before he started, he inspected the components of the existing heater. After he was done, he explained what he would be doing and gave the additional costs that were not part of the Big Deal. The additional cost was small (mostly bringing things into code) which meant I saved over $300.00 and this doesn't include a part that was included in the other estimates. I asked Chris about it, said it was tested and OK, and so I decided not to change it out. I also decided not go with the extended warranty, also recommended by others and not pushed by Chris when I asked about that. Time will tell if those were good decisions or not. Chris left a clean and dry work area. In addition to being very timely and professional, both Bret and Chris were courteous and patient. The "B" for quality is that I'm not familiar with this kind of work but they did give me only what I wanted which was based on the performance of my old heater and the information they provided.
