They were much lower on the bid to make necessary modifications. That saved us about $800.00. He was informative as far as whether or not we need an extended warranty in our area, very honest. I would recommend Fast Water Heater Company to others.

When I called initially they gave me install options & determined the Angies List deal was a good one so did that which also gave me discount on reserve tank. They do the permitting, still waiting for that info. They came when they told me they would & were nice & informative. Area was clean when they left & new tank explained to me.

They contacted me immediately. I called and scheduled an appointment. The person taking my called seemed confused and it took a while for him to find the order. At one point he said it must not have gone thru, but I had an email directly from the company saying it had and to call to schedule. Anyhow, once the scheduling was done, it was fine. They called me the day before and asked if I was ok with a later appointment, which was fine. They showed up on time, calling before they arrived. The guy saw the water heater and called me to let me know they couldn't do the work. The water heater is too old and needs replaced. He left me an estimate on replacing it and that was it. He told me to contact Angie's List to get a refund, and suggested I purchase one of their other deals for replacing water heaters if I wanted to have it replaced by them. Other than the phone problem with scheduling, I had a great experience.

They were able to come out quickly and had an unusual water heater in stock that I needed. The tech was efficient and pleasant. He explained several options to me. He had to reroute some plumbing and seal off a pressure relief valve. The person who provided the quote on the phone knew that I needed a direct vent water heater, but left out the direct vent portion of the estimate. The tech said that they normally do that, even though they know that is not an optional feature and costs hundreds of dollars more. So between the additional work that they couldn't have anticipated that I'd need due to the existing gas and water structure, and the cost of the vent installation that they left out of the quote, the final job cost me about $800 more than I thought it would. That's an enormous amount of money to pay just for a water heater. Access was wide open on the ground floor near an outside door, so that wasn't part of the expense. If I hadn't lost hot water the day before Christmas and been desperate, I probably would have sent them packing when the tech arrived and told me how much it would really cost. I'd called a lot of companies and their initial quote was about the same as the other companies. I went with them only because they were able to come out the soonest. The tech did a great job and worked quickly. The water heater is large and ugly, but it works fine. Overall they did a good job, but the cost seemed unreasonable.

Overall great job installing the new and removing the old water heater. These guys know their job and they're very professional. But I have to say that the pricing could be a bit better, especially when you purchase the best warranty package. I came to the conclusion that the pricing offered is just for the tank itself + warranty, once the crew comes in, everything else is a la carte like stand, expansion tank, 2x4's, vents, etc. It would have been nice if I were told this on the phone prior to the install. The minimum for me to get the job was another 10% above quoted price for the items to be done, but I ended up paying 30% more since I wanted the stand and expansion tank as well.

The installers, there were 2 showed up on time. They installed the new water heater, drain pan, overflow, new gas line and both water lines. The water heater had a faulty pilot system and would not stay lite. The service techs went to a warehouse locally and took the entire assembly out of a new water heater brought it back to our house the same evening and completed the installation. The install time was probably 5 to 6 hours by the time they went and got the new parts. Overall very pleased with the work that was done and would use Fast Water Heaters again.

As of December 29, still haven't heard back from Fast Water Heater company, even to schedule. I paid the $79 to Angie's List since it was on of the Big Deals, but Fast Water Heater has not kept up their end of the bargain. I have emailed and left several messages; when I call, it goes right to voice mail.

They gave us an estimate and charged us $50. They can't try to make any schedule. We called them again and we can't get through. We got hold. They were busy. They're the cheapest though. I would not use this provider in the future.

Fast Water Heater Company came out to replace 1 gas water heater tank which was leaking. Upon inspection of the 2nd water heater tank, the service person recommended replacing it as well since both tanks are 14 yrs old. I tried buying another Big Deal through Angie's List but was told that I had to wait 2 days for approval to buy a 2nd Big Deal. The supervisor from Fast Water Heater was willing to give us the 2nd tank at the Big Deal price of $849 in order to save everyone another trip. I was thrilled to get the job done all at once, so I paid them directly for the 2nd tank. As a result, I don't need to buy another Big Deal. Thank you for your assistance!

I obtained the service through Home Depot and was informed that I could not apply my deal to the service. I have requested a refund. They are doing the service now. So far so good. They are punctual, friendly and professional.

Turned out pretty good but there was some added expenses. It was a big unit and cost an additional $150.00 to have another guy come out for like 5 minutes to help move the old water heater that I didn't like. They were fast. Had a new pan installed and a valve. They hauled away the old water heater.

Initially we were super happy they could send someone out right away. "Dennis" seemed nice enough and went to work without delay. He goes over with me what he's done, how to operate the new water heater and leaves. I JUST HAPPEN to go outside and hear a hissing at the gas meter!!!!! I quickly call Puget Sound Energy and they are out within the half hour. The PSE technician says NO ONE should be turning gas on or off but them. AND he said this company KNOWS BETTER. We get over that and the heater is NOT working. "Dennis" tried to coach our adult son (we are out of the house at that time) on how to problem solve what might be wrong. He does so but without success. "Dennis" has to come back out a day later. Our son apologizes and says he hopes he didn't have to make a trip out for nothing. "Dennis" rudely says, well ya, you did. Say what????? Whose fault IS this anyway???? I tell the company all this and get NO RESPONSE.

Fastwater's quote was accurate, included a higher quality water heater and longer warranty length, yet was Abut $200 less than the next lowest quote I received. They were also true to their name, providing a next-day appointment. I was purchasing the water heater for my mom and could not be onsite for the installation, but the technician (Gordon) called me once he arrived in order to review any changes needed to the order once he had a chance to see the location. Gordon was extremely courteous, respectful, and very knowledgeable--even about the option to include or not include an expansion tank based on the City of Tacoma's progress in updating their residential water meters. He obviously took pride in his work. I'd definitely use this company in the future.

Prompt service, speedy repair, less than 2 hours, hauled away old water heater--very pleased, would use again.

Got estimates during 1st visit. Confirmed selection and had installation done the following day. Cost on each code upgrade was higher than expected. Every little bit adds up.

I purchased this service through an Angie's List Big Deal...my entire experience was great - from scheduling the appointment, technician arriving on time, informed what he was going to do, once completed with the service he debriefed me on what he found and he was extremely professional and friendly. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely use them again in the future.

Our hot water heater was almost 20 years old and starting to leak from the top so I wanted a replacement quickly. I checked out reviews on Angie's List and saw a large number of positive ratings so went with Fast Water Heater Company. Matt S. came out when promised and gave a 30 minute advance phone call before his arrival. Replaced the heater quickly and even had to reroute some gas lines to enable him to remove/replace the heater. We have a pressure regulator in the house so Matt also installed an expansion tank to the system which the old water heater did not have. Very happy with the result.

Called and asked if they could service Bradford White gas water heaters. Was told yes and then I got disconnected accidentally. Called back and got another technician on the phone. Asked the same question and was told no. I am disappointed in the inconsistency of the answer so I am canceling the maintenance.

Matt was great! Very friendly and knowledgeable. There was a bit of a mix up when he arrived but he handled it without stress and assured me all would work out, and it did. Before he did any work he explained any additional cost and work that was needed He explained how the heater worked and told me everything I needed to know to feel safe. So my water heater went out, and I went on to Angie's List to look for a deal to replace it. Fast Water Heater Company was offering the best deal by more than $100 over the next closest offer. I read their reviews and most of it was very positive, and I learned a couple things to expect, like there will be an additional charge for a City Permit/Inspection of the new water heater installation ($55) and that I would likely have to replace my expansion tank and that would be additional. So the $849 deal turn into $1,050 after the permit, expansion tank and tax, but it was all explained to me when I spoke with Jake to schedule the appointment, so nothing was a surprise. It was about 1:00 PM on Thursday when I purchased the Deal, and I called Fast Water Heater Company right away to make sure that I got scheduled. I was hoping they could do same day, but that didn't work out. They did promise to have Mitch out by 9:00 AM Friday, so I was happy with that. On Friday, Mitch called 20 minutes before he camp out and was 15 minutes early. He checked over my current setup, confirmed the pricing with me, and got to work. He said it would take a couple hours, but ended up finishing in about 90 minutes. He walked me thru everything he did to set up the new water heater, had me run the water to get the air out...and everything was in top shape. Overall, talking to Jake on the phone and working with Mitch for the install, everything went great. Buying a new water heater is no fun, but at least working with Fast Water Heater Company was easy, quick and professional. The only annoying part of the whole process was getting someone on the phone to schedule the appointment. The 866 number wasn't working for me. I called the direct number for the Bothell location that I got from Google...that got me to the right place but I was on hold for more than 10 minutes until Jake came on. It was a minor inconvenience, but with the rest of the experience going was well as it did, I think they did an A job overall!

I woke up to a cold shower the morning of the 8/28 and called them early in the morning. I talked to Ryan who was very pleasant and informative. We thought we needed only the heating assembly replaced because our pilot light wouldn't light up to heat our gas water heater. Ryan informed me that because our water heater was over 8 years old (it was 10 years old) that their protocol is to replace the water heater. He explained that water heaters usually have a 10-12 year life span so even if we found a company to only replace the assembly, we'd most likely be paying money for a new water heater in a year or 2. He gave me an estimate over the phone for two options plus the cost of the permit. He also informed us that if they needed to bring it up to code, that those would be an additional cost. He had a technician out mid-day the same day which was a lifesaver with two little ones in the house. I wasn't home for the technician when he first arrived (I think his name was Ron or Don) but my husband was. He explained to my husband that we would need additional items to bring it to code. It came out almost $500 more than what I was quoted over the phone which I have to admit was a bit shocking but we have piece of mind knowing that we are all legal if we decide to sell our house a few years from now. Overall the job was completed to our satisfaction and the two employees from the company were very customer service orientated.
