Description of Work: Bob created a custom cabinet front for our half bathroom, repainted the walls after removing wallpaper, and tiled an accent wall.

Description of Work: END OF BATH REMODEL PROJECT: Bob installed decorative trim on 2 doors, added crown molding, and new baseboard molding. He installed a small area of bead board with trim. Bob repaired 3 windows and trim and replaced 1 missing window sill. Helped to make all 3, 123 year old windows, work well again. Stripped years of paint off window pulls, door hinges, painted entry door to bathroom. Painted interior walls. Costs are labor and materials.

Description of Work: Bob Schober responded quickly to my inquiry about re-configuring a bookcase & shelves to fit a larger TV. It is more complicated than it sounds. He has made a site visit, and looked very carefully at what was required. We have scheduled the work and expect him to start on the job next week. So far, the experience has been very professional. I didn't check the Quality box because the work isn't finished but I expect it to be A.

Description of Work: Bob Schober is an excellent cabinet maker who combines the skill of a fine craftsman with the eye of an artist. Everyone who has seen the cabinets in our kitchen has been in awe. Bob is dependable, thoughtful of the client's wishes and reliable. He faced some challenges in working with a log wall and handled the needs of the job with understanding and tact. His attention to detail is very high and when the plans turned into reality of a new kitchen, we were absolutely pleased and delighted. I recommend his work without hesitation.

Description of Work: I found Bob's name on Angies List and was impressed at the reviews that I read. Bob has recently moved to the Bellingham area and so the reviews were from work done in the Pittsburg area. Bob responded to my phone call and came by my residence the same day. I had a number of issues that needed to be addressed in the interior of my house. These included painting and wallboard repair. I could tell from the initial visit that Bob really knew what needed to be done. He was very professional and took time to look carefully at each item that needed to be done. He completed the work in a much shorter time than I anticipated that it would take. Both my wife and I are extremely happy with the quality of the work and the effort he made to clean up and be tidy at the end of each day. I had received a bid from another person and Bob's bid was lower and I would hard pressed to understand how the quality of work would have been better by the higher bidder. I have additional work that needs to be done on the outside of the house later this year and Bob will be the person that I will have do it.

Description of Work: Bob Schober did a num,ber of projects for me during 2009 through 2011. He built sveral walls (one in a shower to inastall shower door). Replaced a fence in my backyard. Repaired and painted basement floor. Repaired cracks in the walls . Built a number of projects in the apartments we rent out. He had keys to my home and the apartments we rent. He is eminently trustworthy. Meticulous in his work. Prompt in his attention to detail. His prices were very reasonable. If he hadn't moved to Washington, he would still be doing all of my work.

Description of Work: REPAIRED AND TEXTURED HOLE IN OUR CEILING DRYWALL PUT IN WOOD CROWN MOULDING AND BASEBOARD IN SEVERAL ROOMS AND HALLWAYS. REPAIRED AND REFINISHED LARGE ROLL TOP DESK WE LIVE IN AN OLD BUILDING WITH WALLS AND CIELINGS THAT ARE OUT OF PLUMB, OUT OF SQUARE. AND WAVEY IN PLACES. BOB ADAPTED HIS WORK TO ACCOMODATE THIS DIFFICULT SITUATION AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF MAKING EVERYTHING COME TOGETHER AND WORK SO THAT THE FINISHED PRODUCT LOOKS GREAT.

Description of Work: We jointly worked on painting my shingle siding. Rain and a required application temperature of 40 degrs F or higher brought thre project to a stutter step halt 2/3s of the way done. Supplies plus labor are included in the cost to date. We will finish in spring.

Description of Work: Bob designed, built, painted and installed three beautiful radiator covers for my home. Each one was a custom job, built to fit radiators that were different sizes, not installed square to the wall, with floors that weren't perfectly level - all the challenges of working in an older home. Two were solid wood; the third was also a window seat with a tile top.

Description of Work: Schober Woodworks came out a month ago to build a cabinet to cover my radiator in the living room.

Description of Work: Service date and amount spent stated above are just for the most recent service. Bob has done a lot for us: Re-hang bathroom cabinet; painting; building a computer room in the basement, including frame, walls, painting, and a new system whereby we can remove panels to get to the basement walls behind the room; remove wall heaters and patch with drywall; worked with me to change the downspouts to accomodate two rain barrels. I'm sure there is more, but after years of jobs, I can't remember them all!

Description of Work: Replaced Kitchen Safety door. Patched cracks in the walls of all rooms and then painted them. Installed Kitchen light fixture. Repaired posts of front porch and repainted them. Repaired windows in third floor apartment to satisfaction of tenant. Replaced trash cans and attached lids to them.

Description of Work: I hired him to do some carpentry building for us among other things. His service included building book-casing/TV unit, shelves and a bench. Woodworking is his specialty. He has also painted for us and a few other jobs as well.

Description of Work: I've had Bob do a number of jobs in my house, both big and small. The big jobs were in remodeling a first floor bathroom and utility room. I had an idea and some sketches of what I wanted, but Bob identified the steps required and carried out the work from start to finish. This involved removing three small closets, cutting a large iron grate, putting up framing and drywall, plastering, painting, ripping up linoleum, leveling the floor, putting down ceramic tile, and installing a dropped ceiling. For the complex jobs, Bob had to coordinate with a plumber and an electrician, and he worked well with them. Bob is the ideal handyman, and I highly recommend him. He's very knowledgable about home repair and remodeling, and happy to explain what he thinks should be done and why. He is easy to work with, and he always checks to be sure he's doing what you want, and that you're happy with the progress so far. He was timely, and if there was going to be a delay he always let me know.
