I was very impressed with the work performed by Caleb. His quote was detailed and fair. He was very professional and he performed quality work and was thorough. He was responsive and answered all of my questions. He arrived on site when he said he would and he was conscientious about keeping my house clean and not causing further damage.

Robert arrived within one hour after being called to assess the situation. He provided a quote for the service to be provided the next day after the pluming issue was fixed by another company. He arrived with his assistant Busa at the time arranged. They quickly placed a plastic barrier to protect all of the carpet and furniture around the entrance to the crawl space below the house. They ran an hose that removed all the sewage that they took away to be dumped. The old vapor barrier was removed and new laid along with application of an enzyme to assist with the odor. Robert and Busa worked very efficiently and had the project completed quickly. They cleaned the area upon completion and there was no soilage noted. Robert was so nice to provide pictures before and after. I would highly recommend their service. They are a very professional team.

Very well. He came on time, inspected the washroom, checked to see if water had pooled under the vinyl flooring (it had). He gave us an estimate on how much it would cost to remove the damaged flooring. He had some time available, so he also checked out some other water questions we had about pipes from upstairs and what looked like leaks from upstairs. He was knowledgeable and helpful without being condescending.

They (Daniele) showed up and was very pleasant up and nail I asked him not to touch the stuff in master bedroom as I had to go to my sons track competition but would be back soon and I will pack out the master myself, right away he appeared defensive and asked why would I do that?? I asked are you married?he said no,I went on to explain that when you're married your wife may not like strange men going through her personal belongings ! He argued but eventually giving in and the combinations to the trailer provided by them to store my household items! Well about an hour later I received a call from my wife stating when she arrived home she walked in on a worker going through her personal drawer?? I immediately contacted the supervisor who then told me there is a language barrier and he would look into it?? He called me back say 5 minutes bytes later basically calling me a liar and the men never said I could pack my master out to trailer? I asked how did the have the combination ?? He had no response?? Only to now tell me that my mothers (passed away)unity candle and holder were broken in the process of packing our belongings up ???? I informed there man of the sentimental importance of that and he said it looks cheap I see if I can't have and their one made up for you give me a couple day's ?? That was 2 months ago haven't heard a word back from them, but my landlord who is a "snow bird" in Arizona slandering me lying to my landlord about me to the tune of landlord flew up to Seattle from Arizona because he was being told that he may lose his house because more slander and defamation statements ?? Needless to say my family (2 grade school boys and my wife)were still in a hotel because of this company's lack of courtesy and professionalism!we spent thanksgiving in the hotel my wives birthday and sure am hoping to not have to stay in a hotel for x-mas because of someone who I found out is trying to get a certain company's work which I happened to work for and the owners of southwest plumbing should of never been involved in at his process however because of Jason ( the owner of 24/7) involvement with southwest he told my landlord ( Larry) several things that he doesn't know if they're true or not( of course they're not) but causing my landlord Larry to fly up from Arizona and delay the project by at least a month!! As I was loading everything from 24/7 trailer back into my house my wife notified me of somethings broken in each box she had opened ?? I contacted Jason and he informed me that he warned my insurance claims adjuster to be aware of me because I will look for every opportunity I can to take advantage of the situation and everyone that knows me will say the same thing ?????? That's a bold brave statement !!!!!!! Jason does not know me nor does he know anyone that truly knows me!!!my wife is contacting attorney generals office the Bibb as well as private attorneys

Adam showed up the morning after the incident (they offered to come the same night, but mentioned it didn't sound urgent enough to incur the additional after-hours charge - thank you!) and was friendly and efficient. He assessed the damage with some very cool tech I had no idea existed. The water damage spread further than I could have known (as it will do) and he suggested a plan of action, which consisted of: running 2 de-humidifiers and several industrial grade fans for several days to combat the moisture. Adam came by a few times in that window to check the fans, the humidity levels, and the moisture levels in the carpet and walls. Adam was extremely helpful and went out of his way to move the washer and dryer out of the way, removing and reattaching baseboard and carpet as needed, and giving us tips to combat future potential for water damage. Hopefully you don't find yourself in need if their services, but if you do, I'd highly recommend calling them. My only mark down on their grade was for price. To be fair, I didn't get multiple quotes, because I really didn't have time to meet several companies and wait to begin treatment. The C rating is only in comparison to my completely non-scientific estimate on what running several fans and de-humidifiers should have cost, and in reality their price could be right on, or even better (or worse) than other companies and I'd have no idea. And note that in the scale Angie's List gives, a C rating equals fair, so it shouldn't be taken as a negative mark, just that I would have estimated the cost to be less.

Dear member, Thank you for taking the time to grade us on our service. It is not uncommon for property owners to be surprised at the cost of water damage mitigation, which is mainly driven by the inherent risk doing any kind of work in a persons home or business. That risk only amplifies when we assume the responsibility of drying out the building materials to ensure there won't be any risk of mold which is a hot button topic these days. I am glad your overall grade was an A and that you wouldn't hesitate to call us back if the need ever arose.

The technician showed up and was not very friendly. Came in vacuumed up the water and put a pump down (that did no good at all) and he left. He was there for less then an hour (approx 40min). When i called I was quoted 109 for the call (angies list) and 160 for pump rental. We were charged $360. Not sure what that wad even for the guy did nothing. He went to his vehicle and took like 20min came back vacuumed up the water for a min threw down a pump and left then called the next morning to pick up the pump. In my past experience this company was honest and didn't charge us for stuff thag wasn't going to work I will not be using this company in the future nor woukd j recommend it to anyone.

Dear member, I am sorry your recent experience didn't live up to your previous expectations. I personally took your call during the emergency and was clear that we could not prevent water from coming in and that if this was the case our service would be mainly limited to placing a floor pump in the deepest area to try to prevent water from spreading to unaffected areas. I know it is a very stressful thing when rain water is coming into your home but I am always very clear that we do not provide services to stop water from coming in other than to investigate and try to determine the contributing factors and try to zero in on the point or points of entry. I screened several potential clients who had the same issue and helped them conclude that they were not ready for our services yet because the flooding was still active. I also referred those callers to the short list of water proofing companies on Angie's List only to find that only one even answered their phone and they were already scheduling jobs for days later. There were a number of homeowners who were still interested and grateful that we responded quickly on a Sunday and helped them limit the degree of damage to their homes for that same $360.00. I did interview the tech who responded to your issue. I can't speak to your sense that he wasn't very friendly but I did find that he did exactly what I would have expected him to in terms of the work. He said he quickly set up his equipment and vacuumed up the standing water down to the concrete so he could see where it was coming in at. He found that water was coming through the foundation by your heater and that as soon as he turned his vacuum off the area re-flooded very quickly. Since it was a Sunday and we know from experience that only a very few basement water proofing companies keep emergency hours our tech offered to rent you a commercial grade slab pump that pumps water down to less than a quarter of an inch. Of course this was just a band-aid measure to prevent further spreading and was presented as such. He gave you a quote that included the rental, set,up and return trip and you agreed. It is really troubling that you are now grading us poorly for offering the only solution available under the circumstances and even more troubling that you accepted it ahead of time to the penny and are now unhappy. Our goal is to have 100% of our clients feel they got exactly what was advertised. If you do not feel you were explained everything I've outlined in my response before you hired us I would ask that you call our office and ask to speak with me directly. We value every person in the Angie's List community and especially those who are past clients. Sincerely, Jason Koenig President

Everything was fantastic - from the phone call to the service. On the phone, everything was explained to us, so we knew what to expect when they arrived. I was told I would get a call back once an ETA was determined. They showed up about an hour later (after my initial call) and I was given the rundown once more - I appreciated that. There was no damage to any personal property, which was great. We looked through the site of the flooding and about 30 minutes later, there were fans and dehumidifiers in place to soak up any additional moisture. The floor is looking much better and the room is drying out. I am writing this now as I was so impressed, I don't feel the need to wait until they return to pick up the equipment (they leave it overnight to ensure everything dries out). I would absolutely hire them again and am thrilled that they were able to come by so quickly. Thank you!!

Sean is very knowledgeable and was helpful to explain all options. It's a great experience to find someone you can trust - both with the evaluation of how much work needs to be done (which was less than we anticipated) as well as the quality of work.
Description of Work: We had a water leak on the 2nd floor that dripped through the ceiling on the first floor. I called 24/7 Flood Response in the afternoon and were very pleased they arranged for someone to come out that evening. Sean Klarer, our technician, took moisture readings on the upstairs floor at the leak site and in the kitchen ceiling where water had dripped through. While he was evaluating the extent of the damage, he explained the readings and what they inferred. He wrote up a quote, which looked reasonable but I had already scheduled another company to come and give a quote the next day so we waited. We should have given Sean the green light to get started as the other company overestimated (being very polite) the amount of work that was needed. Sean scheduled to come out the same day I called to let him know we wanted him to do the work. They covered the entire room downstairs with plastic, carefully removed and hauled away the drywall in the ceiling that was wet, and placed blowers and a dehumidifier for a few days. When Sean returned he found everything was dried out as he anticipated. We chose to have our favorite painter, Garr Brown [web link removed] do the finish work for us. Both coming in and out of the house with large equipment, they were very careful to protect the floors.

I didn't even get this company through Angie's List but now I see that it is on here!! This was the most amazing excellent customer service I have ever experienced. Sean was quick, polite, punctual, very kind under very difficult and stressful circumstances, smart smart!! Nobody could find the leak which had flooded our basement!! We had three recommended plumbers here and one leak detection service-- but they wanted to jackhammer our concrete floor ... Sean was like a detective -- it turned out to be a hose connection from outside our house-- imagine the savings!! i cannot recommend this company and especially Sean more highly. If there were grades higher than "A"- he would get the highest .

When your basement is flooded, you don't take the time to shop around for a service provider. I went straight to Angie's List. I called 24/7 Flood Response and Jason had someone out to my house in about 90 minutes. Ben assessed the situation, gave me a couple of options and went to work. I have rarely seen anyone work so hard. He singled-handedly removed the soaked carpet and pad. He also hauled off anything else that was water-damaged. He set up several blowers and a dehumidifier to dry out the basement. He was back two days later to check on things. Since he felt the moisture level was still high, he left the equipment to do its work. Two days later he was back to check on things and remove his equipment. Ben was hardworking and very polite and professional. The service was incredible and reasonably priced. While I hope to never need 24/7 Flood Response again, I would call them in a heartbeat.

iWe had had our christmas tree up for two weeks in the family room (lower level of a split level house), in the corner adjacent to the outside wall on one side, and the wall adjoining the crawl space underneath the kitchen on the other side of the corner. At that point, there was no evidence of the baseboard or wall exhibiting water damage. We took the tree down early morning of the 3rd, and noticed what had happened. The baseboard on the wall adjoining the crawl space was warped, and the wall an inch or two above it was damp. Also, some of the water had seeped into the carpeting a few inches from the wall (about 6-8 square feet or so). I was concerned that a pipe had burst, given there was some subfreezing weather the week before, and was expecting a rather expensive repair/cleanup, so we scoured Angies List for reputable companies, and found 24/7 Flood Response. We gave them a call and they were able to make it out to our house within a couple hours. Jason was very friendly and explained everything he was doing so it made sense to us. Within a half hour, we knew that the leak had some from a very slow dripping outdoor faucet directly outside the crawl space, which had seeped through the house siding/concrete, collected on top of a concrete wall and seeped through from there into the house. Fortunately the damage was pretty minor and just required some moisture removal to dry things out both inside and in the crawl space. Jason pointed me out to where to find the moisture in the crawl space before any work began, and explained the problem solution and estimate of the cost beforehand. We also received a reassurance that if for some reason things weren't dry within the 3 days, he'd give us an extra day of equipment rental free to make sure the problem was solved. It took 3 days of running the equipment to get the moisture levels to "within range" (Jason showed us this with a moisture reading device on the walls). The wall didn't require any drywall repair, and the only thing I had left to do was to replace the baseboard, of which I have plenty of spare material left over from when I had installed it a couple years prior. Jason's service was exemplary, the price was within reason, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to use 24/7 Flood Control again! Thank you Jason!
Description of Work: Installed dehumidifiers and fans in family room and crawl space behind the wall, removed water damaged baseboard from wall. Ran fans/dehumidifiers for 3 days to remove water that had seeped into the crawlspace and through the wall into the family room, and onto small area of the carpet. Diagnosed the source/location of the water leak.

We called 24/7 Saturday at 4pm spoke to the owner very friendly and helpful we had someone out within an hour. We had water coming up through our basement floor. Ben the technician was very friendly, honest and takes pride in his job. We were unsure how to stop the water from coming in and we didn't want to rest of our basement to flood we were thinking of putting in a sump pump to pump the water out as it came in. Ben said he could do that but it was only a bandaid for the problem and he spent a little while trying to pin point where the water is coming from. We believe we found the source and he spent time help g us reduce the water table so it stopped come g through the floor. He told us the cost of installing a sump pump and said it wouldn't probably work because we didn't have any standing water. He left saying to call him anytime day or night and he would come install a pump if the water. Thankfully what he suggested was correct and we no longer had water coming thru the floor. Ben called the next day to check in. Awesome company

We had a second floor toilet overflow and get water all over the bathroom and into the ceiling below. We did the best we could to clean up the water and dry things out but decided we needed a professional to inspect things. We had cleaned up the water with towels and a shop vac, pulled out the light fixtures in the ceiling below, and poked 1/2 holes in the ceiling and put a fan on it. Ben came to help us out on a Saturday. His initial guess was that we would need to replace the entire bathroom floor. He began taking measurements, and, low and behold, things weren't too bad at all! He found all the places where even a little moisture had penatrated the edges of the flooring and the carpet. He did a great job of getting those areas exposed to air so we could dry everything out ourselves. He was confident that we did the right things in both the bathroom and ceiling below to minimize damage. He'll be coming back in a few days to take some moisture measurements and put together a final plan for anything that remains. Thanks Ben! We will call 24/7 any time we have a water problem in the future!

I called the 888 number and immediately got someone who assigned a technician to come to my house and a**** what would be needed etc. Saying that I got the number through Angie's List got me an additional 20% off. They guaranteed someone to come to the house within 90 minutes, however it was at about 8:30 am and the technician was on his way up from Tacoma, so traffic was expected. Ben Herbert was the tech assigned to come and at the 80 minute mark he called to let me know he was still stuck in traffic and gave me an updated ETA. Ben arrived and immediately put on boot covers (as to not track outside stuff in the house...awesome). He listened to my entire story of finding the water and my own investigation before he made any comment. Upfront he told me what he believed the issue to be prior to pulling anything out of his truck. He discussed with me what he could do, how I could go through with an insurance claim, and what his preliminary pricing would be. Again, before taking anything out of his car we walked around the outside of the house and continued to investigate; ultimately we found the source of the problem, then instead of pulling out all his gear and getting to work he explained what he would do, how if I helped it would be quicker and cost less, and mentioned since it was not an active leak and if I was comfortable doing it myself he would tell me exactly what to do; this way he would only have to charge me for the service call and that was it, amazing!!! Ben saved me at least $1,000 in labor etc. by just listening to my issue and taking his time in assessing what the cause was. I would absolutely recommend 24/7 Flood Response, and if you get a choice ask for Ben, he rocks

It took about 4 hours for the two techs to arrive. When they got there, I was surprised by two things: 1) The lack of urgency around getting the water up. The main tech wanted to talk about overall estimates, billing, and insurance. I was happy to have those conversations AFTER the water was removed. But I really wanted the problem addressed ASAP. 2) All the numbers that were thrown around. The tech quoted various numbers for the total cost while they worked. I felt like he was gauging my reaction to see what he could bill. I don't know if that is true, but that is what it felt like. In the end, the bill was clear and seemed to reflect a fair price for the services rendered. As far as emergency response techs go, these guys seemed pretty good, and were moderately flexible with me when the job was complete. Good, not great.

Dear member, Thank you for your feed back. Some companies may be content with B grades but as you can see from nearly all our other reviews we aren't satisfied with anything but A level service every time. To that end it falls to me to look into any job where the service may not have lived up to our high standards. The call log showed that our dispatcher contacted the on call tech at 7:37pm informing him to be ready for a possible assignment. Apparently we were waiting for a call back from you to send him. After receiving that call back the assignment was texted to the on call tech at 8:20pm immediately after ending the call with you. The GPS report showed our van arrived at 9:50pm, exactly 90 minutes. Our standard response time is 90 minutes. Moreover the field tech informed me that he contacted you immediately to say he might be right up against that time or even a little over as he felt he needed to pick up a laborer to ensure your job was done as quickly as possible since it was late at night. I understand that when anyone has water damage urgency is crucial and minutes feel like hours but I also feel it's important to set the record straight. With regard to not just getting to work I would say that it is our company policy to establish a clear set of expectations before we get going on any loss. It is actually one of the practices we are praised most for from Angie's List members and all our clients. Far too many water damage companies are too eager to start racking up charges against property owners and many use the emergency nature of the situation to strong arm clients into proceeding without defining expectations about what is to be done, the associated costs, whether it's the type of loss that qualifies for insurance, and whether the property owner prefers to just pay out of pocket. We believe it is in our client's best interest to answer these questions before starting work. I cannot speak to the feeling you had about the way our tech bid the job. I would just note that you ultimately felt it was an appropriate charge. I looked at the scope and found it to be substantially less than standard insurance rates. I regret that you didn't feel the experience completely lived up to your expectations. Water damage is never pleasant but we do everything possible to minimize it's effects.

Water Mitigation Hero's! Restoration Wizards! I had a water back up in a pipe shared by my washing machine and dishwasher that drenched my laundry room, powder room and office downstairs. It was awful. I thought that we had gotten all the water up but boy was I wrong, who knew water could hide itself so well? I called 24/7 and they sent their awesome Tech Adam, who came out late that night on a Sunday and addressed the issue and set my expectations on what the water mitigation would entail and cost - they ( Adam) showed up right on time the next day and checked in with me 1 to 2 times a day on the phone and in person to see how the basement was drying out. In tandem, their restoration company, Pacific NW Restoration, sent their PM Lance out to meet with me and tell me how the restoration process would go and estimate the cost of what it would be $$. He was fair and honestly set my expectations appropriately and assisted me with how to pick out product replacement. He then had his team Aaron and Earl come out to meet with me to go over the schedule and walk me through the restoration/rebuild process step by step. From beginning to end these guys delivered stellar results and set and delivered on expectations. In fact they EXCEEDED my expectations. From someone who has not had a loss like this in their home due to water, these guys were awesome at helping to mitigate my anxiety level and get me back up and running quickly. I work from home and they addressed that and made special exception to their schedule to get my home office back up and functional as a priority so that I could work. I am in a customer service oriented industry so I have a high bar for CSAT results, which is why I give these guys an A+

Dear member, Thank you for your thorough assessment and experience with our company. Water damage is one of the most unwelcome events a homeowner can face. It is imperative that the company you choose sets the expectations early and with as fine a point as possible. We are extremely pleased to learn that we in fact exceeded those pre-set expectations in your eyes.

Adam was very promt and professional and refered us to his sister company PNW Restorations Overall our experience with PNW restorations was good, fair pricing and great work performed by their guy Aaron. There were a few communication issues with their estimator but all was resolved in the end by the GM and we are happy everything worked out. We had laminate floors through most of house replaced as well as tile in the kitchen. Clean and efficient team of workers showed up when scheduled.
Description of Work: Adam showed up within an hour of calling ready to inspect our damages and get a plan together for drying out our floors.

I loved their service. They are professional, responsive and very patient in explaining things. They also take your opinion serious. Sean, the person I worked with, is very friendly, considerate and kind. As an example, after they finished deploying the blowers in my crawl space and left, I felt the blowers need some adjustment. I called Sean and he immediately turned around and drove back with his crew and made the rearrangement.
Description of Work: 24/7 flood response helped dry the water damage in crawlspace and the nearby wall and apply anti-mold agent.

Our upstairs washing machine pump broke and sprayed out the bottom. We did not notice until it was dripping downstairs through lights, etc. They came out quickly. He set us up with fans, dehumidifier, and a heater for our laundry room. He also removed some sheetrock downstairs in order to be able to dry everything out. This work was done well. He was efficient and tried to cause as little damage as possible while making sure he got all the moisture out. The outlet he had all the equipment in became black and charred. We were told they would fix this for us. It was a GFI outlet 3 feet from the laundry sink above the washing machine that we use for our iron. The repair part of their work was done partially by their people and partially by subs. The sub he used for the electrician was terrible. He obviously did not want to be here. He did not even know what he was supposed to do. He told my wife that he was installing a non GFI because the GFI was not required there. He complained about having to cut sheetrock to install the new fans. He left all of his trash and mess behind. The electrican inspector forced them to come back and install a GFI outlet. One of the fans grate was not laying flush. I figured it was just not pushed up. After a few days I got out my ladder to push the grate up. I found that the alluminum fan housing itself was hanging down. I told the Earl Brydson, who hired the sub, about the problem via email. I also explained that I had no confidence that his electrical sub did any of the work correctly. He forwarded the email to his sub. The sub sent an email saying it was all done correctly including the fan. I emailed pictures that made it obvious the fan was not done right. I asked him not to have the same guy since he made my wife uncompfotable the first time. Having him out now could only be worse. Earl said he would have someone out and this time it would not be the same guy. In fact he said it would be the owner. Perfect. Except, today the same guy came. He was angry. Not the kind of worker you want in your home near your wife and kids! Their billing is difficult. They emailed me an invoice with no detail, just a total. I called their office twice now asking for a breakdown. It has been a couple of weeks.
Description of Work: They did water damage mitigation. Then they did associated repairs. They also replaced bathroom fans and added timer switches to those.

Dear Member, As the General Contractor for the restoration phase of your project we take complete responsibility for the ultimate outcome of the workmanship which I learned from our Restoration GM you now find acceptable. I understand he offered to come out and do an in person walk through with you regarding the final product and that you stated it wasn't necessary. We also take responsibility for the road it took to get to the final result. To that end we make every effort to do as much work in house as possible to ensure quality but in specialty fields like electrical or plumbing work where special licenses are required we have to call upon subs. I can assure you we are extremely selective with the subs we choose to associate with. Ironically like you we rely heavily on Angie's List when we need to find one or when our regular subs are unavailable. I personally read every review about Reliable Electric who was the source of your complaint. It was Angie's List that first made us aware of them. Until this situation Reliable had never received a total grade that was less than an A. In fact they never received anything less than an A in each each specific service category except for a single B once for price. We felt very confident giving them a chance to work for us and the people we serve until this situation arose. I noticed you left a review on their profile page as well outlining the same story in greater detail. I understand and agree that is was a serious violation of trust when you requested that the same electrician not return to your home. That trust was violated with us as well because our project manager was personally assured by the manager of Reliable that he himself was coming out to redo the sub par work his employee did. By sending out the same service tech you had the issue with he not only strained your working relationship with our company but he also likely terminated our working relationship with his. I give everyone an opportunity to explain their circumstances prior to passing judgement but if this wasn't just an unfortunate oversight that caused them to send the same tech that you clearly stated you didn't want back in your home, then we will be cutting ties with Reliable Electric. It is sad because we have had several encounters with Reliable Electric that convinced us they were aptly named. But ultimately we can't expose ourselves to situations that caused you to write the review you did about us. I can also assure you that we in no way were cutting corners with our handling of the shorted outlet. Failed outlets are a rare but unfortunate byproduct of running drying equipment to address water damage. Often the water damage itself is the culprit. Your insurance carrier agreed with this assessment of the situation and approved the coverage for replacing the GFI outlet. We don't know why the original electrician didn't just follow the instructions and replace like for like. With regard to understanding our billing I was told by our GM that you signed the detailed scope of work before service commenced so I'm not sure where the breakdown is with understanding our billing. I was told that this was fully resolved around the same time you posted your review. Moving forward our only hope is that in spite of the road it took to get there you are pleased with the final result. Sincerely Jason Koenig President 24/7 Flood Response
