They did a good job

Came out the same day and installed a new 50 gallon water heater. Had to install a new valve to bring it up to code. Very knowledgable and polite. Price was about the same as a local big box store that priced a 40 gallon tank, and they wouldn't touch the gas supply line. Used the Angie's List coupon. Highly recommended.

They should up on time for the proposal. Explained the options and provided verbal.writing proposal on the spot. We agreed to do the service but I could not take another day off work so they offered to install it on the next day (Saturday). They arrived promptly on Saturday, installed it within 2 hours, and did not charge for an additional water valve that was needed.

I called in the morning after our water heater had failed and Curtis was at my house that afternoon. Not only was he very patient with the fact that we had other contractors in the house working on other items, but he was extremely accomodating to the fact that we had a newborn in the house as well. He changed his schedule to install a new water heater and made sure I was comfortable with the options and recommendations before proceeding. Highly recommend!

They emptied out the water heater and carried it away. Hooked up a new one and gave me a discount for being an Angie's list member. He was out here in 30 minutes after I call him. The work took him about an hour and a half. He specializes in water heaters. He knows how to get them in and out. He was above and beyond the service that I am used to.

From the first phone call for an estimate to the finished installation Curtis Witherspoon was as thorough, professional, informative and pleasant as could be. He explained the entire process, worked out some site problems and even with that he and his helper Kenny were in and out in two hours with the final bill exactly what the estimate was?which BTW was $300-$400 under other estimates. Couldn?t ask for better service and value. One thing I did learn in my research is that direct vent water heaters are more expensive ($400-$600) than standard chimney vent because they are less common.

This company is outstanding. I found the water heater broken on a Tuesday when I came home, what a mess and i couldn't cut the water off at the unit because the knobs were frozen so I had to cut the water to the house. I started calling repair people immediately because i had to have it fixed the next day Wednesday because on Thursday i had oral surgery and could not deal with workmen in the house. this company was the third i called and he came to my rescue saying he would work me in to his schedule after his morning appt. He came as promised, did the work, fixed all the fixtures and pipes to current code. Now everything works safely. He was done in ~2.5 hours, neat, attention to detail, very knowledgeable about unit and managing it going forward. He really did a wonderful thing getting it solved that day so i would have water and a new unit. I would definitely use him again and recommended himm without reservation.

For some of us out here in the big wide world, choosing a large appliance and its installation provider is a daunting process. Especially when that appliance is leaking all over the floor. Fortunately, in the case of my hot water heater, the Angie's List report on Water Heater Services led me from an angst ridden, wet, rusty water heater morning to a relieved, dry, shiny new water heater afternoon. I called Water Heater Services this morning after reading their stellar reviews on Angie's List. Mr. Witherspoon gave me a price quote over the phone after I answered only a couple of questions about my situation. It seemed like a good price considering other comparable job costs listed by other Angie's List members. I confess, I had no other estimates made. I just based my decision on what I read in the reviews of other contractors and what I could glean from reading the details on water heaters from Lowes and Home Depot. The fact that Water Heater Services does only water heaters and were flourishing doing only water heaters suggested to me that they would be efficient and capable and knowledgable of just what I needed. It was a bit of a leap of faith, though, to let Mr Witherspoon choose the water heater unit for me. I asked a few questions but the answers suggested that the standard unit he presented to me was an appropriate choice for my ever so standard needs and budget. More bells and whistles and insulation were not going to be worth their price in my case. And I do think the execution of this installation proved that he is efficient, capable, and knowledgable. He and his colleague were in and out in under 2 hours. Both gentlemen were pleasant and professional. Mr Witherspoon reviewed the details of my unit with me and reminded me to call him if I had any further questions or concerns. The only fee added to the estimate was $60.40, the price of a new gas valve since mine wouldn't budge. The only thing I wish I had done was to be more prepared to deal with the damaged and dirty vinyl tile floor underneath the old water heater before the new one went in. I didn't expect it to be the responsibility of any water heater installer but it would have been good on my part to realize and prepare for that in the change out. The other thing I would mention is that if you like to have all the data on the appliances you buy before you buy them, you should ask Mr Witherspoon to give you the run down on the unit he has in mind for you or ask for the options he could offer you. I'm hoping the water heater itself will prove as good a choice as the contractors that installed it.

I received cost quotes form several Angies List vendors. While all were professional and responsive, this provider was by far offered the best price and schedule to meet my needs. The work was done on time with little to no impact on my daily schedule. The price was the best, most reasonable for replacing a 75 gallon gas water heater. I would recommend Water Heater Services & Curtis Witherspoon.

Excellent! No complaints, and the system is quieter than the old one!

On Thursday, 31 JAN, I contacted Mr. Witherspoon via his web site. By time I arrived at my desk, I saw that he called. I had conducted some research so had an idea of the brands I would accept and what I did not want due to reviews online. He was courteous, listened to my situation, asked questions to gain an understanding of what I wanted, and helped me choose a water heater that would work for my situation. He provided his opinion when I asked and was not pushy toward any certain brand; he listened to what was important to me and then provided me with choices. I had been out of hot water since Sunday and was happy that he would be able to install the water heater on Friday, 1 FEB. Provided a detailed verbal quote over the phone and then emailed me with a written proposal so that I would have the estimate in writing. He explained that the one additional cost may be for the expansion tank and he would check with the city first to find out if code required it. I appreciated his honesty. His prices are fare.... I appreciated that he offered to let me pull the permit, to save me money rather than paying him to do so. Due to my current work load I went ahead and asked that he add that to the bill. He arrived promptly, having stopped by the building services department to pick up the permit for installation (I have propane) and provided me with my copy of the permit. I showed him the location of the old water heater - we spent time discussing what may have happened to cause the internal fire (indicated by the soot on the outside). He and Kenny went about the job of removing the old and installing the new. The removed all evidence of the old heater as well as the packaging from the new heater. They explained things to me along the way and were kind enough to answer my questions as I had many during the process. I didn't understand the reasoning behind expansion tanks... why one was not needed in 2004 but is needed now.... I understand that there is now a code that says it has to be, but didn't understand what has changed in the public water system to make what was ok before not ok now. After installation, Curtis showed me how to light the water heater and provided me with an orientation on the various settings (the new water heater does not have the same controls as my old one did) and was kind enough to write the invoice number on the heater so that I would have that should I need it in the future. He also explained that he will register the water heater for us. This way, Bradford White will have our heater on file for warrenty purposes. After he and Kenny left, I called the city to schedule an inspection of the installation. The city clerk remarked that she remembered Mr. Witherspoon coming in for the permit that morning and how nice and together he was.... she commented he was nice to deal with and had everything in order. That was an unsolicited review!!! :-) So here I sit, typing a wonderful review as the water is heating in my new Bradford White 50 gal heater. Curtis is kind, professional, patient, and will be happy to answer any questions you have. He really knows his water heaters and is passionate about what he does. You can tell he enjoys his business and has pride in his work. While he is working in your home, you will feel as if he is working in his own home; he keeps things need and cleans up the site before leaving. I appreciate that about a professional who is working in my home. I will definitely recommend him to everyone I know. If you need a water heater replaced, you will not be sorry about hiring Curtis Witherspoon. They did a great job. The water heater was old and they couldn't drain it. The job was probably bigger than they expected and they did a good job. Very courteous and hard working.

From the time of the initial phone call the company was very friendly and I could tell they were customer friendly and honest. The technician came out within the time frame he said he would, and was up front on all the potential costs before he started work. He fixed the water heater quickly. I was most amazed that during the hurricane aftermath he came so quick, but I was glad he did. I will definitely use this company for all water heater services in the future!

Curtis arrived on time, was very professional. Took out old tank, put in new tank. Answered all questions and double checked all his work, cleaned up all debris and left area cleans and tidy. highly recommend him.

Researched for awhile and knew what I wanted. Curtis worked with my through phone and email to determine the best products and prices. He's very knowledgeable and flexible. End result was not the cheapest but the products and the installation are impressive. If you want a quality no-BS job, go with Curtis! Fyi, he uses "pro press" crimp style plumbing (no soldering, no lead but costs a little more).

My 25 year old State 50-gallon gas water heater began to leak so I called Water Heater Services based on the Angie?s List report. I called from work at noon, they said they could come out to Sterling from Dumfries by 2 pm and they were there waiting when I arrived home at 2. The complete installation and tank fill took about an hour. They were professional, courteous, patient and informative with my numerous questions regarding water heaters in general and my new State water heater specifically. I even learned about the new no solder pipe couplings they used. I am writing this review on the day of the installation so I can?t comment yet on the water heater but I give high marks to Water Heater Services for price, responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism. They cleaned up after themselves and hauled away the old wh. Since this is the only service they provide, they?ve got it down to a science.

It went great. The guys were professional, timely, explained the job in detai, warned about additional required work. Did not try to sell me extra stuff.

They did an excellent job and had an excellent price. They were willing to take the time to educate me more on water heaters, which helped me decide what I wanted to get. They showed up on time, were very courteous and very clean. I would definitely recommend them!

Plumber was on time, gave an assessment and I asked to began the work. He explained it all.

I called them the day before, they gave me a very good price over the phone, once I called around to other places they definitely had one of the best price however I choose them because they were knowledgeable about the products and took the time to answer all of my questions and they were willing to install any brand that I have chosen. They came out the next morning on time and completed the work in the time frame they said it would take, they used runners so that my carpeting would not be soiled and cleaned up after themselves. Nice going guys I would most definitely recommend them to a friend. Audrey.
