I did get a cheaper quote to fix this issue, but I went with American Plumbing because of the good feeling I got right from the start. The owner Dan came out same day within an hour, on a Saturday to check things out and write me up a quote. I confirmed on Sunday and they were there 8:30 on Tuesday morning to start the work. From beginning to end the site foreman, Dave was a pleasure to work with. His guys worked hard all day and made no fuss in doing so. I was kept informed what was going on, and the work they did was first rate. I couldn't be happier with how the internal plumbing was presented, a massive improvement to what was there before. They also made almost no mess of my yard and you cannot tell they were there, despite digging some pretty big holes to get access to where they needed to. They even put my mulched area with pot plants back in better shape than it started - yes they actually improved how it looked! Will definitely use them again and I highly recommend you choose them also.

5 star all the way. I have used American Plumbing a couple years when my incoming water line broke. They did a fantastic job replacing it. This time, we had a rental property running into thousands of dollars of water bills, and the water authority said it was an underground leak. We called Dan, and he came by the same day. He searched and researched meticulously and worked with the water authority. He determined that it wasn't an underground leak and the leak came from inside the house and the water authority agreed. It turned out to be silent leaking toilet. Problem solved and Dan didn't even charge for his trip. We truly need honestly expert like Dan!

Money well spent. I made the right choice. Dan's crew was the best for the job. I got a leaky main water pipe, which was polybutylene. Oh, my God. Nobody wanted to fix it then. I had to replace a 70 feet underground water pipe in winter when ground was partly frozen. I got quotes from three other plumbers and still skeptical about their proposal. Then I talked to Dan. I read the previous reviews about American Plumbing before I decided to go with Dan. Now I can tell all the good things people say about this company is true. Had to mention Dave who was the best plumber ever. I will recommend their service to others I know. I found the company got skilled and hardworking people and they do the job by themselves - digging the yard, putting in new service line, and connecting the water main to the rest of the plumbing of the house in one day. Awesome job, after county inspection, they immediately backfilled and restored the front yard just as it was before.

Let me start by saying they were the first estimate I got and I should have looked no further but the responable adult wanted more quotes. From the moment I met Dan he was super nice and explained everything to me. Dan even answered all my questions via text no matter what time it was. I am so happy that I picked American Plumbing to replace my main water line. They know what they are talking about as this is all they do. I would suggest to anyone needed this kind of work done is to stick to the pros who know it best. The day my pipe was being replaced the crew showed and were also super nice. It was such a great experience and I cant even express how happy I am with the work done. They left and besides having a new pipe in my basement you could not even tell any work was done, the front yard looked the same as it did before they showed up. I had American Plumbing do a pretty extensive job of replacing my water main pipe from the curb to the house. They kept in constant contact with me and my tenants while doing the job. They took care of everything from beginning to end. They even gave us a trick of how we could still get water while they worked on the project - something the other plumbers failed to mention. After it was all said and done, they put everything back the was almost as if nothing ever happened. I would highly recommend them for anyone and will hang onto their number for future projects.

From my first Contact with Dan at American Plumbing, Inc to the end of my repair I could not have been happier. I received excellent customer service, work done in a very timely fashion, a friendly team of three people who did the repair and a very reasonable price. I have no affiliation with this company whatsoever, but I just wanted to share how impressed I am with American Plumbing. We had a crack in our main water line Saturday morning. Long story short, we tried to hire another company but that ended badly...luckily Dan from American was willing to come to our house at 7:30pm, after working all day in Fredericksburg, and he helped us rig a temporary solution for the weekend. On top of that, his crew was backed up working today, so Dan drove over here and dug out everything with just a tiny shovel (because his crew had all the good tools). He said he knew we were expecting the fix today and he made sure it happened. He truly went above and beyond... totally recommend his company for those looking.

Dan replaced our plastic water line from the meter to the house with copper. He completed the work in 5 hours and had an inspector out the next morning. Dan came out the same day I called. He explained what he could do and wrote a very fair estimate on the spot. I made my choice based on his experience.
