I had used Shiner Roofing in 1993 when Kevin, the owner, was hands on. Decided to give them another try after 18 years and was not disappointed. Did not bid the job so cannot speak to the fairness of the price. But they were worth every penny to me. They were professional, honest, prompt, did quality work, cleaned up the job site and everything else you could wish for. Our job was small, consisting of repairing other contractor's shoddy work, and there are some companies who would turn up their nose at it, so we were happy that Shiner took on the job and improved matters considerably. No hesitation in recommending them.

They were fine. I think the pricing was fair and their professionalism was excellent. I really liked their estimator because he came in and went in my attic to look for ventilation problems and stuff like that. He was very available for questions. I think Shiner is a good company.

We obtained several estimates, what they offered was competitive and no one else seemed to be ready to schedule us. They arrived 11 days after we signed the contract and finished in one day. The did a great job, no leaks and roof looks great.

Shiner took over 30 days to put the gutters on and they did not get them on in time before a flood occured. I signed a contract that started a week after we met for an estimate and they still did not come out for 30 days after that. They are deceptive in their dates, the contract was pre-date to start later. They cheated me out of ten days at the start of it and they tried to call me to get an extra 32 days to install it. The gutters did not work after they installed them so I asked them to come out and they had an inspector come out and say that there were no problems with it. I later went on to find a piece of cut gutter metal stuck in the down spout that clogged up everything. He also left a bunch of equipment in my garage.

Job went very well. Two workers finished the job in one day. Did a good clean up. This is the second project Shiner has done for us.

The team was 30 minute early. Estimate was to work to be completed on day and half. I was not happy with the gutters. So they came back and re did them.

I spent $9000 on that work. They were very professional and hard working. They did the job in 1 day. I don’t know if they were the cheapest but they were punctual, did a good job and seemed to know their business. Overall they are a good company.

The salesman was very thorough in his explanation, The office was polite and prompt in communication and the work was done. I will definitely use shiner roofing when it is time to replace my roof.

It went very well. Estimator came on time, gave me an estimate, but was too chatty. work mane came, was polite & professional.

I choose not to go with them because they were two and a quarter more than another bid. It was for the same work but for a different product. Ultimately it's the product and I didn't like their product though it was lesser but cost a lot of money. I would not get another bid from them and that is not because of their company but because of their product.

Great - Could go to work and didn't need to be at home. Men came and cleaned up. I asked for 2 day notice . So I could make arrangements for my dog to be out of house as workmen upset her and they responded to my request.

They started early in the morning and completed the job in one day. They were polite and very professional. I even received a follow-up phone call next day to ask how satisfied I was with the job.

Honest, reliable, excellent from start to finish ! The estimator was the best person who has ever come out to our house for work to give an estimate. He got on a ladder & took photos of the entire gutter system & showed them to us immediately.And thoroughly explained everything & gave us an estimate at the same time. He even agreed to personally bring out a section of gutter for us to paint before installation. The company did all the work excellent in all regards. Best company we've ever used !

We have had several jobs done by Shiner. They have done all our windows and roofing. We had replaced half the roof 10 years ago and it was time for the other half. We pushed it as long as we could. They have always impressed me with the ease of getting someone here for an estimate and 30 days to review.The last time I had to set up an appointment and there were issues with getting the call through and getting us scheduled. But we had a great interaction with the salesman. The installers were incredibly friendly efficient and cleaned up beautifully. There is never any debris and you would never know they were here, besides the new roof. And they matched the roof perfectly. They use quality materials and no cheap shingles. At least one person on the crew speaks fluent English as well. They are a tad more expensive but it is okay since they use quality materials.

They did a good job for us. They were prompt and came when they said they would show up. They showed me pictures of what they had done because I can't go up on the roof. The leak stopped and we were pleased.

Estimate on time and accurate. Workers on time and courteous and good clean up every day.

Shiner Roofing had replaced our roof a few years ago and I was very pleased with the work performed. In December of 2010 our skylight was blown off a few days before leaving town. I called the company and they were prompt in boarding the window, ordering a new sky light and replaced it. All of the work was done while I was out of town.

Very good experience. They kept us up to date on when workers would be out (some days were windy/rainy and work couldn't be done) and they worked quickly when the weather was cooperating. The new roof was natural slate and wasn't flat in all areas. They corrected all of the issues we identified quickly. They cleaned up the area around the house very well. The only downside was that they described our final payment as "past due" after 2 weeks. When asked, they said the bill is due as soon as it is issued. Using that logic, you would never be able to pay it on time.

We were quite pleased with the performance and professionalism of our salesman John, the office support staff attentiveness, the crew, and crew foreman. They did a quick and professional job in less than one week in replacing the roof and guttering for our SFH. They also installed 4 new skylights to replace old skylights as part of the process. We would definitely consider using them again for other services and in fact are considering them for siding at present. We would rank them as Excellent across the board, except that the price was substantial. In our initial meeting our salesman noted that they would not be cheapest, but they would be the best customer service wise. We agree that the customer service made it worth the price we paid.

I called Shiner on a Monday morning after damage incurred by a severe windstorm over the weekend. The gentleman who answered the phone was pleasant, knowledgeable and able to schedule an estimator's visit for the next day -- which had to be postponed for two days because of bad weather. The estimator was also pleasant and thoroughly professional. He went up on the roof, surveyed the damage and even took photos. I feared he was going to try to sell us a new roof but he didn't; he detailed damages and recommended specific repair measures only. The initial estimate was that it would take a minimum of about 2-1/2 weeks before the work could be done because of the need to order shingles to match. We were pleasantly surprised, therefore, to get a call one morning less than 10 days later saying there had been a cancellation and they would have a crew at our house around lunch time. A two man crew showed up a little later than that (just before 4), went right to work and were finished 45 minutes later. They were quiet, efficient, professional and left no mess or debris behind. The shingles were a remarkable match, the roof actually looks better than it has in a long time and we are very pleased. I contacted Shiner because of (1) others' recommendations on Angie's List; and, (2) they are local. But they were not my first call. That was to another local highly rated firm, but they said they would not be able to get an estimator to look at the damages for two weeks, by which time Shiner had already made the repairs. If there's a next time, Shiner will be our first call.

Shiner's crew carefully examined the roof and attic then provided a long list of small repairs. They scheduled a time to do the repair and arrived on time. Completed the work as described. Not one leak since.

It was an excellent service from developing the estimate and determining the solution to performing the work, clean-up, and post sale follow up.
