Description of Work: Installation of a large chandelier in the foyer, on a 19 foot ceiling. Additionally, installation of two "remodel" recessed downlights, where there were no wired canopies. Finally, they repaired several outdoor 2-bulb spotlights attached to the siding, at heights exceeding 15 feet above ground level. | |The entire operation was carried out with total professionalism, and with continuous communication going on between the customer and the technicians...to assure utter satisfaction. Extra care was shown in protecting existing furniture and flooring in the customer's home.

Description of Work: I was remodeling a bathroom and they had to move some outlets and switches. They also ran a new circuit for my microwave and did other electric work. They also replaced the GFI. They are professional, prompt, and offer competitive pricing. I have been very happy and have refereed them as well.

Description of Work: Replaced balasts in flourescent lights. This is the 5th electrician I have used in 17 years. They are by far the best. They are courteous, reliable, and totally honest. The only reason I gave them a B on responsiveness is because you need to talk to Dave himself to get an appt and I am hard to reach. Much phonetag can ensue. In the past they have done several things beyond the call. They are very fast. If they do a job under the (reasonably priced) minimum time; they ask me to look around and see what else they can do to give me full value. They located a frayed wire behind a wall which could have been quite dangerous.

Description of Work: We contacted them for an estimate on a basement remodel job. HTey were the last to respond and one of the highes so we didn't use them.

Description of Work: Nothing. The scheduler (owner, I believe) was out of town on vacation. The person asked if I minded it he called back on Monday to schedule a visit. He never called. I think that is very unprofessional.

Description of Work: Called for residential work last week. Woman who answered the phone was told what was needed and that it was needed promptly but not the day of call. She said the scheduling electrician kept the schedule and that he would call. He called late that morning asking if they could come right then. I told him that I informed the woman who answered the phone in the morning that I could not do that day but could any other with notice. He thanked me and said he would call by the end of the day to schedule and that the work could be done within a couple of days. In spite of my calling the office twice more and leaving messages, I have not heard from them again. I have moved on. Tough to rate the price or quality of work if you can't even get them to call you.....

Description of Work: The two electricians who were working on replacing my kitchen ceiling fan & wall switch were working away when I had a visit at the door from a second tree removal company with an estimate to cut down a small tree at the side of my house. I guess I mentioned out loud that this second estimate was even higher than the first estimate. After the electrical work was completed and working, much to my suprise, the two electricians said they wanted to see where the tree was. I showed them the tree and was overwhelmed when they said they could easily cut it down and asked my permission to do so. They retrieved some tools from their truck and in no time at all had the tree cut down, the root ball pulled out and the branches and trunk cut and piled so I could tie them up and take them to the curb. Needless to say these guys deserve a gold star for not only doing an outstanding job with the electrical work but going outside the realm of their job description by also doing "tree work". I told them how apprecative I was that they would do this for me. They saved me the cost of the tree removal and were truly "angels on the spot" . Thank you, thank you for Dave Hensel's team.

Description of Work: We are having a fairly large number of electrical improvements done to our house. I called Dave Hensel Electric and spoke with the receptionist. She took the time I wanted the estimate done. I emailed her a list of the projects we are considering and the owner emailed me back confirming the estimate time i wanted. He showed up exactly on time, were very professional, explained what they could do. he provided a written estimate by email as arranged a few days later. I was happy with their performance at the estimate, however in this case we went with another top rated company due to price.
