Garry came out and completed a quick diagnostic of my refrigerator and dryer and discovered both main control boards were bad. He quickly ordered the parts needed since my appliances are older and the control boards aren’t readily available in any nearby states. Upon receiving the parts, Garry came out and replaced the control boards to get my appliances operating correctly again. Garry was very professional and I enjoyed the conversations we had while he worked to fix my appliances. Lisa’s communication throughout the whole process was outstanding and they both worked with me through my busy schedule. Thank you Garry and Lisa for making this an excellent experience for me! I would definitely recommend them for your appliance service needs.

Having logged my service request with the warranty company first thing this morning (around 7am), I learned that the company who would be contacted to help me was G&L Appliance.  I called G&L Appliance at 8:30am this morning to see when they would come out.  They gave me a time this afternoon (same day), and showed up in that timeframe.  The technician was very professional and resolved the problem within 30 minutes.  This ought to be 'expected',  but I had had another issue with the washing machine last summer and the appliance company who responded that time were not at all responsive (and I felt it was because I was a 'warranty customer, so they were being paid a small flat fee to fix the problem).  On that occasion, it was a total of 3 weeks that I was without a washing machine, which was a major hassle with two teenage sons who play sport!  Very happy being treated well by G&L Appliance.

Technician came to assess what was causing the leak around our washer. He said the washer wasn't leaking water, however, the transmission was leaking and we needed a replacement. After the company didn't contact me back (for a few days) I called them to get an estimate as to when they would come to fix the washer. A week later they came to replace the transmission. That same day, the washer completely died because he missed the broken latch on the hood of the washer. The technician did not properly assess the issue with the washer. Had to buy a new one.

G and L Appliance Svc told me quite honestly that the machine was not worth fixing, as opposed to just doing it for $360.00. I went out and bought a new one for $1,080.00 instead. The $360.00 would have fixed it, but it would still be a 12 year old machine. And I'm fixing what needs to be fixed now. I'm not rebuilding a new machine. If you want to pay $360.00 to have a working, 12 to 14 year old machine, he says, "I wouldn't do it. You paid $59.99 for the service call. You get back if you use our service, but I do not recommend our service for this. I recommend you buy a new one." They don't sell them. But he said he'd fix it if I wanted to, but that he didn't recommend it. So, that was frank.

They did not call to set up an appointment as American Home Shield stated. They were late for the initial appointment. They stated that they needed to order a part and would call us with a status. They never called. We called them and they stated that they were still waiting on the part. Several weeks passed. They eventually received the part and scheduled an appointment to replace it. They provided a 3 hour window for the appointment and arrived 5 minutes from the end of the window (they did arrive within the window), then of course it took 30 minutes more to replace the part. They replaced the part in early December and now the dryer is not working again, just under 30 days from the last "fix". Obviously, this is not rocket science. We have had to phone them repeatedly and take several days off from work to meet with them. They never call with a status update. This is the kind of repair contractor that no one needs. We are now carrying wet clothes to a friends again, because the dryer doesn't work.

They did a good job. I will probably give them a call again, if I need any more work taken care of. They were responsive to me when I called to schedule the service. They came out on time to do the job and were very professional. They didn't charge and arm and a leg for the parts and labor either.
