Description of Work: The work itself was acceptable, but the price was totally unacceptable. I purchased the "Big Deal" with a couple of hours of plumbing labor for $99.00, which was all well and good. When the plumber called me he stated not to buy the parts since he could get better quality at a plumbing supply house. I took pictures of the manufacturers plate on the water heater so he could get the correct TPR Valve. I also forwarded pictures provided by my home inspector showing the ABS pipe joints that were leaking (all dry, but slow long term leaks had taken place per the inspector). He asked me for this information so that he could obtain the parts before coming out to do the work. He showed up without any parts, looked around and went to get the parts. He came back and said that the parts would cost me $235.00. I said "no way" I want to see the receipts. He refused stating that those contained proprietary information. He then went back out to the "supply house" for something he "forgot" and said he had purchased unneeded parts and would get a refund. The new price for the parts came to $185.00. There were several ABS fittings and the one TPRV involved. I was in a bind under a severe time constraint with my Realtor and her assistant in the house staging it for the listing to go active the next day. If it were not for this situation I would have sent him on his way and pursued a refund from Angie's List. I later went under the house and identified the parts he replaced and along with the TPRV looked all of the prices up from a supply house...consumer prices no less, bear in mind he gets a contractor's discount typically 30 - 40%, and the total came to approximately $39.00. No wonder he refused to show me a receipt! Moral of the story: If you buy an Angie's List "Big Deal" from Shogun Services never never never ever let him supply the parts.

Description of Work: It went well. Job was done on time. Gave me options, which is good. I wish all plumbers electricians etc...would provide a little more detail in their quotes, but that's for the future. I will use them again.
