Description of Work: We are long time customers of this Wiygul location and in the last couple of years have had major work completed on 2 aging vehicles. The most recent was diagnosing a check-engine light and inconsistent heat/AC. They replaced a blower and oxygen sensor. | |Overall we are very satisfied with their work and service. Occasionally there are adjustments needed to repairs, but we also realize that today's systems are very complex and occasional tweaks may be needed. The guys at Wiygul have always made those adjustments quickly and without any attempt to tack on new charges or unnecessary work. | |I would highly recommend using Wiygul in Reston.

Description of Work: They replaced the air and cabin filters; did a complete transmission service including flush and fill; performed a synthetic oil change service, which includes the oil & filter change, topping off fluids, checking the battery belts and hoses; and tire rotation.

Description of Work: I used Wygul Automotive from 1987 until 2014. I took my car in for regular service. A service rep I had not met before told me I needed new rear brakes. I had heard no squeaking so I thought this odd. Even so I authorized the work. A phone call to a dealer confirmed that on my car the brakes squeak when they need service. All brake pads are made that way. I conclude that Wygul has changed its business practices and I want nothing more to do with them. It is sad, really, to abandoned a business I have used for 27 years. I am using Sunset Hills Automotive now and I am very happy with them.

Description of Work: Asked them to repair a leaking tire. They said nothing wrong. Took it to another shop where the leak was found and repaired immediately.

Description of Work: I have relied on Wigul to service my cars since 1993. They have always been reliable and returned my car when promised, no surprises. They are really good for new tires and keeping old cars running.

Description of Work: I had a coupon for an oil change so I went there. They were easy to make an appointment with, were courteous, professional and didn't try to sell me services other than what I needed/went there for.

Description of Work: We have used Wiygul exclusively for our auto repairs. They always contact us before making repairs, patiently explain everything they are doing, follow through on their work and we are very pleased with the interactions we have had with them. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: We brought our daughters car to them. They provided an estimate for the required items and more. Long story short, we got a second opinion and the cost to repair was $482 vs $1300

Description of Work: I've had several experiences with Wiygul - if you know what you would like performed and understand all the things involved in that work they are fine and do a good job at a reasonable price. However, I sent my wife there to have the tires balanced on her car, and after 3 hours they called her with a laundry list of items that needed to be performed. I was skeptical because some of the things they checked and recommended had nothing to do with why she brought the car in for service. I've since taken the vehicle for a second and third opinion (including the dealer) and neither could confirm the need to have Wiygul's recommended work completed. As such, I'm left with the conclusion that the work they recommended was little more than an attempt to generate revenue, and not in my best interests. I don't blame a business for wanting to make money but I'd rather they earn it through repeat business and not in one massive shakedown. Buyer beware would be my recommendation.

Description of Work: We had been using Reston Automotive from 1996 to 2010. When a battery was installed wrong on our car and caused the Electronic Body Control Module to fail. They offered to discount the replacement of the EBCM by 20% - even though they were the ones that installed the battery and noted it was installed wrong...would NEVER use them again. I recommended them to dozens of people through the years. VERY SAD that this happened.

Description of Work: Auto state inspection. Reported needing brake job on all 4 wheels and that there was some movement in the front right wheel. The brakes did need repair and the barring on the front right wheel were bad. I replaced all four disk and shoes and both front wheel bearings myself. The only problem was that on two wheels I had to use a barker bar to get the lug nuts off, they were over tightened.

Description of Work: I wanted an oil change and they recommended I change all the fluids under the hood for the small cost of $560. I asked for another opinion and was told I didn't need the change and the price quoted was too much anyway.
