Overall the contractor's performance was totally satisfactory.

Toilet flush was fixed efficiently. The sink faucet was installed good.

The first visit to evaluate the problems was prompt and courteous. Mr. MacLean immediately saw the problem with the water heater and repaired it during the first visit. I set up another appointment to repair the faucets. All went well and no more leaks since the repair.

On time, neat in appearance. Workmanship neat, clean. Cost within estimated.

Danny is fantastic. He was punctual and professional from start to finish and always made you feel reassured that he was going to get the job done for you. He is an expert at what he does, and he's very approachable with questions as you go through the repair/rennovation process. He makes sure that the job is done right, and the finished projects were done top notch. I fully recommened him to anyone who needs plumbing work done.

They are pretty courteous and accommodating. They were wonderful. I actually compared the other companies too and they were way too expensive. I just moved in after the inspection was done. It was11 years old when I got it last year and a lot of companies gave high prices saying that the system was about to die. The owner came initially when I contacted them. He was very good. His employees who came to work were very punctual. He told me not to buy expensive services.

Excellent. He ran into a glitch, and did not go over the initial price that we had agreed on even though he had to leave to get another part. He coordinated the time with me to come late in the afternoon after my counter was installed, so I did not have any down time in my kitchen,

I noticed that my hot water supply was not lasting as long as it had been & assumed that one of the heating elements had burned out. I called SWS in the morning and left a message to that effect. I was upfront in that this was not in any way an emergency. My call was returned a few hours later. The new elements were installed that evening. I was not given a hard sell to replace the working element; I had already decided to replace both since they were the same age. He also flushed sediment out of my tank. AAA+++ service!

Danny was very punctual with the appoinment, worked in an efficient manner and explained everything he did. He explained why the hot water heater made a popping sound. Then he drained off some water to show me what he had expected to find and showed me how I could do it on my own if this problem would happern again.He wore shoe covers since it was raining out and he didn't want to bring mud into my home. There was no mess anywhere when he left and he explained a few things about hot water heaters that I had no idea about. He was helpful and informative.

My kitchen sink decided to start gushing water from the cabinets onto the floor below one weekend. I turned the water off, cleaned up, but couldn't figure out what was leaking and from where. It looked like it was coming from behind the sink walls and not from the faucet assembly so I feared the worst, a pipe. I called Danny and left a message. He called me back and said he could come over right then. That was enough for me. I left work and met him at my house. He quickly discovered the issue was a rubber gasket in the faucet. Because it was so near the top/back of the sink it created the impression that water was flowing down the back walls of the cabinet. Also, it was not really visible without being at the correct angle. He showed me what was happening with the sink etc. This particular gasket was not replaceable. In fact, he said he had never seen one get a hole in it like that. In any case, he said the entire faucet would have to be replaced since the gasket wasn't fixable. I never liked that faucet anyway so that part didn't bother me at all. We talked about when he could come do that, after I picked out a new faucet etc. Then he remembered he had a similar style faucet in his truck he had bought at Home Depot to install at a church later in the evening. He went and got it and it fit and it was much nicer than the one I had so he just used that one. The whole process took maybe an hour from start to finish. The faucet looks lovely and he gave me an Angie's List discount. I also loved that he put shoe coverings on his feet, as did his assistant. He was obviously very knowledgeable and explained things well. They were both very friendly, the price was good, service was fast and my sink is working great. Thanks!

Contacting Mr. McLean, as noted in some earlier reviews, involved a delayed response. It was worth the wait - as my work was not an emergency. Mr. McLean installed the pump, and also answered numerous questions we had regarding our (relatively) new home and a couple of problems we had been experiencing.

Danny has been great. In my opinion he is the best plumber in Richmond. His work is outstanding! he is on time, works quickly and turns out quality work. His pricing in very fair. I have recommended him to many friends and used him several times myself. If you're looking for a plumber you can end your search here. If you can't get him on the phone the first time, keep trying, He's a busy guy.

Every part of the experience was great.

He was very pleasant and the faucets were done fine. The dishwasher (the first time) was not really level or straight and therefore he had to do it over again. The same went for the garbage disposal. The dishwasher was a new model and maybe had never installed one of those before.

I purchased a coupon for plumbing services because of a leaky fixture - Danny was very good about responding, coming prepared, and expertly repaired the fixture. He didn't use the whole hour, and said "if something comes up, I'll work with you". Little did I know. About a week later, I turned off a downstairs shower and there was still water going into the shower stall. I rechecked the valve, and noticed that the water wasn't coming from the shower head, but from the light fixture in the ceiling. Checking the upstairs water heater, there was a hole in the side squirting water against the wall and down into the downstairs. Called Danny - he came over, replaced the water heater for a very attractive price, and credited me for the unused portion of my coupon from the prior week. Absolutely professional, and would not hestitate to use him again.

I was very pleased with his work. He arrived promptly, was courteous and professional. He explained everything very well and was quick and thorough. I totally recommend him and will have him back when I need a plumber again.

I contacted this business due to a loud noise that was emanating from under my house (in the crawl space) that sounded like a loud grinding and/or rattling noise, having no idea what the problem could be. Danny found the problem almost immediately and it was repaired. He additionally fixed a plumbing issue that I had not previously asked about on the phone. Danny was very professional, personable and helpful. He gave me some plumbing tips that would help me to determine if there were an additional problems. I will contact this business again the next time I have plumbing work that needs to be done. Thank you for the great job!

The Plumber was very clean and found and repaired the problem in a very short time-frame. Much easier for the plumber than for me to fix and it stayed fixed.
