Summit Roofers installed a new roof for us about 18 years ago. So when we had water damage on the foyer ceiling from heavy rain, we asked them to check the roof. They sealed nail holes in the ridge vents and we all decided to see if this would solve the problem. It did not. Luis came out again and said our roof was good and did not need replacing. The problem was with the 18 year old metal ridge vents which were rusted in several places. We had Summit Roofers install 2 new shingle style ridge vents and 2 new skylights to replace the ones which were 20 years old and leaking. They arrived on schedule, were professional, friendly and thorough. All the work was done to our satisfaction and we have not had any more water leakage problems. We are very pleased with their work.

Benny was prompt in doing estimate, provided a clear and complete contract, price was significantly better than prices from four other roofing companies. The workmen showed up as promised, did the job over a couple of days. They were polite, they cleaned up the site, improved the existing downspout that looked goofy and worked poorly, and ensured that the slope of the roof was such that no water pools even in all this crazy reason we've been having. It is great! I heartily recommend Summit.

I tried a different company at first and was called and ignored mostly because this was a small job. Summit Roofing provided expert service under their Class A license and ensured me thaht they do the utmost to take care of every custome big job or small. I would use this company again in a heartbeat. Excellent person in Carl and excellent administrative service too. Awesome company!

Let me just start by saying that I'm overall happy with the service and would use them again. I had to give a B overall because I felt the price was a little high for only a few minutes worth of work and I know I'm really paying for the expertise, not necessarily just the time, resources and material. But at the same time, as a first time customer it little discount would have been nice. I didn't have a choice really but to follow through since the alternative was to let the roof leak again the next time it rained. This all being said, the following is how the process went. I called them to set up an appointment for a free estimate. The office responded by saying they needed to call me back as the scheduler was unavailable. They called the next day and set up an appointment for the following day. The gentlemen they sent arrived on time, assessed the problem, was polite, professional and gave me an estimate. They have a $375 minimum on jobs, he said. He said he would send me pictures of where the problem in the roof was but I never received them (the other reason for the B) over email. The leak was resolved as it has rained recently and there is no sign of a leak anymore. I received an electronic invoice of the work completed. I would hire them again in the future.

Although our roof and gutters were close to 20 years-old, the roof was not leaking affording us time to comfortably select a contractor. After meeting with several contractors we chose Summit Roofing Contractors for our new roof and gutters. Summit's estimator, Joe Ortiz came to the house while we weren't home and emailed an estimate. The quote provided was very fair. We wanted to know who we'd be doing business with so we scheduled an appointment with Joe when we were home so he could provide shingle samples and explain he process. We were comfortable and contracted with Summit. Joe remained our point of contact throughout the job. The materials were delivered in about a week and were hoisted on top of the roof. The crew arrived on time when scheduled and worked a long day, leaving at 8:45pm and came back the next day to finish the roof. A separate crew came out a week later and replaced the gutters. The roof and gutters look beautiful and have added curb appeal to our home. After worrying about the roof for the past few years whenever it rained hard the roof and gutters are now worry free, hopefully for the next 20 years. We highly recommend Summit Roofing.

I found Summit over Anglies List. The initial quote was very reasonable compared to other quotes and I was able to negotiate a good price for the package. The process was a bit slow than I had imagined between the day contract was signed and the work was done. However the work was done in one and a half day. Overall I am very satisfied with the new roof, however I hope that they were more responsive in getting back to me

From estimate to completion Summit was super professional. All levels of material and service were explained in detail. The crew arrived as stated and worked tirelessly to complete the job in one day. The jobsite was so clean afterward you wouldn't have known they were there. I would highly recommend Summit to anyone one looking to replace their roof. I have already had one neighbor ask about the contractor. I hope they go with Summit.

Summit did an excellent job. Our installation had to be rescheduled twice due to a few snow storms, but Summit was on top of making sure we were aware of everything. The level and ease of communication was second to none. Delivery of materials occured on a Friday while we were at work, and Summit made sure to keep them out of our way for the weekend. Roofing work started Monday morning, with workers arriving early and staying until dark. They managed to finish our large roof in just two days, as promised. When they were finished, the workers made sure to go around the yard and pick up any an all debris that had fallen to the ground. I will definitely recommend this company to those looking for roofing replacement as their quote was lower than four other companies!

We hired Summit Roofing in 2011 to put a new roof on a previous home, and they did a great job, so we hired them again for our new home. They came when they said they would come, they did a great job, and cleaned up after themselves! While they were putting on the new roof, they noticed that our gutter guard needed to be replaced. We decided it would be best just to replace the gutters and the guard, so they came out again. There was a minor mix-up with the colors, but they made sure we got the color we actually wanted (which turned out to be something different than what we had ordered). They charged us exactly what they said - no hidden costs - and we didn't even realize they had installed the gutters until a few days later. Very professional; we would DEFINITELY recommend them.

Summit set up a visit by one of their professionals in a very timely manner, as the area was forecasting inclement wet weather in the next couple of days. When the professional showed up, he inspected the area to be repaired, explained to me that my shingles had Ben discontinued (which is fact as I had researched my shingles manufacturer prior to obtaining estimates), and happened to have some new shingles in his truck that also happened to be a very favorable match, color and type-wise. He offered me a written quote, which was consistent with the 3 other quotes I had obtained, and was able to perform the repair during the initial visit. While on the roof, he performed an inspection of the rest of my roof and found an exhaust pipe that was cracked and most likely slowly allowing moisture into the attic, but may maybe not, offering - again - an honest and informed assessment. To aid in my understanding, he thought to take a few pictures of the pipe so I could readily identify the potential issue. That repair couldn't be made that day, but I was offered an price for the work and was assured he would return as soon as possible to perform the replacement of the pipe should I desire him to do so. I did, and he returned promptly at a later date to accomplish the replacement. Louis S was very professional and knowledgeable, as well as personable.

Seldom is the time that a homeowner is not subjected to some level of frustration or angst in dealing with a contractor/vendor in getting a project started through completion. In the case of ?Summit Roofing?, those worries never came into existence. It was a worry-free project for me the homeowner. Every single facet of this roof replacement appeared flawless. Every factor that a homeowner has come to expect from a contractor appears to be a characteristic that that Summit actually makes a priority and trains to exceed them. These factors certainly made each step less stressful for me. Summit?s communications was by far better than 95% of what other vendors (no matter the industry) display. From a point weeks prior to the project beginning Summit was contacting me via email and phone advising me of the schedule, what they would be doing and what to what I should do.and expect (thanks Carroll). Every bit of advice made the job run smoother which any homeowner can appreciate. The roofers arrived for material delivery and to start the roof replacement process exactly when I had been advised (extremely punctual) and performed the job as a well trained team working as one. This most likely is attributed to Summit's training and management philosophy. . The factor that completely surprised me the most was the price that Summit quoted me and worked to that level (NO surprises). I understand that March (lots of snow this year), is a time of the year considered off-season for roofing and prices correlate to that fact and are normally less but the price that Summit quoted exceeded any of my expectations in a positive way. Numerous roofing companies had provided me with quotes and none was close to Summit's. It appeared to me that most roofers were out there to gouge the homeowner and try to get every last dollar they could from them leaving them little left, which was far from what I experienced with Summit. I was impressed with the fair quote. The bewildering factor is that Summit is listed as one of the only five roofing companies in Fairfax County that is evaluated as a TOP FIVE STAR RATED roofing company which supports my above contentions.This can be checked out in the 2015 Fairfax County Virginia Five Star Rated home services. One might believe that Summits' documented success would correlated to higher pricing but apparently that it is not the case. Possibly their priority is to build the biggest roofing base possible with quality work and fair prices, what else could homeowners want? Would I recommend Summit to family,friends, acquaintances and co-workers? There is absolutely no doubt that I would and I would do so proudly knowing that someone else could have that same positive experience that I encountered. Is their lofty ratings deserving? Summit was extremely professional and responsive. They had come highly recommended to me and lived up to their billing. We would definitely use them again.

Summit quickly determined the cause of the leak and repaired it with dispatch and at a reasonable cost. The barn roof was estimated, including recommendations for improving the roof, and work commenced approximately a month later. The crew was efficient and finished in two days. The site was well cleaned up. I requested that special care be taken in working around horses--especially care that no nails be left on the ground and that work cease when the horses were led in and out-- and also that no smoking occur near the barn. The work crew was very responsive to those requests. The roof looks good, any issues found were resolved, and the cost was reasonable. I am relieved that I have a new roof, that the leak was taken care of easily and reasonably, and that the process was relatively easy.

Workman did a great job. Removed old roof which had more than one layer and cleaned up. The work was completed in 2 days! The president of the company answered all my emails with my questions. I stopped in the showroom before I made my final decision on type of roof and color. They had displays of the products so I could choose my color. I am very happy with my new roof.

All done in one day and cleaned up all debris. Passed County inspection.

We found Summit Roofing to be very professional and efficient. One thing we noticed that was different from other estimates we received was the gentleman who came out actually climbed a ladder to inspect our roof. Other companies sent a man dressed in a suit and tie,who took a picture of our roof. We felt that Summit Roofing made a better assessment of our roofing problems. The job was completed in a day, clean up was impeccable (we live in a townhouse community and no one complained), and everything looks great. The price ended up being the less than the competitors also. We would recommend this company to anyone looking for roofing.

Roofing was fine - no leaks so far - and siding and gutter installers were very nice and professional. Overall, I was pleased with the work.

I had a bad leak on my roof (a couple of nail pops and torn shingles). I called a local roofing company (Peak) to fix it and they were able to send a man out to give an estimate the next day but didn't have enough workers to fix it for about a week. However, Summit (Louis S) was able to take a look at it and fix the roof the next day along with 3 other workers. When they were near finishing off the repair a swarm of wasps chased them off the roof. I had to bring in an exterminator in to kill them. Summit came back the next day to complete the roof without charging me extra for coming back. Afterwards Louis said that he would try sealing the entry point where the wasps were nesting and they came back the next week and did so AND repaired a new minor leak (missing gutter downspout)) on the front roof and did so at NO extra charge. That's pretty good service and how you develop a repeat customer by not charging them on every opportunity to do so. You give up a little on the front end and provide good service demonstrating good work and a desire to keep a customer which isn't that common in this area. We are extremely happy with the results. From our initial inquiry to completion of the work, the communication with Summit was smooth, easy, and informative. The quality of workmanship is excellent and the roofers who performed the work were very courteous and worked diligently and efficiently. The crew was amazingly meticulous about picking up all debris All work was completed in one day and we are very pleased with the price. Highly recommend them!

Wonderful, and price came in less than I thought. Courteous, cleaned up mess and left me with a much improved looking home.

As rain was coming through my soffits and had not had roof inspected for about a year and a half, I contacted Summit and Carl came the next day to tell me my roof, which was over 20 years old, was wearing out and there was no drip edge and the shingles near the gutter were worn down so that rain wasn't draining properly. Received estimate from Carl/Joe. There were no deviations of price after job was completed. I have a townhouse with a mansard roof. The job took about three days because of the mansard roof and gutter replacement. In addition, they replaced both my front and rear gutters as they were both damaged. The crew had the main part of the roof scraped off and re-shingled the first day. I only had to have one sheet of plywood installed on the mansard. The crew cleaned up the nails with a magnet and blew off the small amount of debris. I must say there wasn't much mess while they were there. A roll of their underlayment fell onto my lawn and they came and fixed the dent it left. Carl was also nice enough to take a satellite dish off the side of my roof which old neighbors had attached without my permission. He was very careful. He also took a look at my attic fan which had stopped working, and made some recommendations. They've been very nice to deal with so I highly recommend them for their workmanship and price.

I did my homework and had 4 estimates for a new roof. Summitt was the cheapest and I had a recomendation from a neighbor that had his roof replaced by Summitt Roofing and they were pleased. My property was left clean, broom swept. They used a large metal magnet to pick up any leftover nails. They arrived on time, were curteous and efficient. They did not take breaks but worked the whole time they were there. The roof was large and they finished in a day and a half. The new roof looks great.

The job was completed in time and the supervisor was courteous and answered all my questions and addressed my concerns on the day of the work. I highly recommend them for roof work.

The contractor did not want to go to the second level to even look at the gable roof from above. He made measurements from below and said the flashing is probably bad so they would replace the whole thing. We got a second opinion from another contractor who was willing to look at the gable roof from above. The roof and flashing were in good shape. The issue had to do with cracked calking in a window above the gable roof. The other contractor was hired to fix that and paint for a fraction of the price.
