Renewal by Andersen of Virginia & Washington DC

Salesman came and gave us a hard sell with pressure to buy windows that evening. We were not told the specific kind of windows (model #) nor an itemized listing of prices, just the entire project cost. He did not know about the Angie's list discount his company offered, and actually denied it before I showed it to him. He also wanted to use the original wood in our bow window, which I told him was 35 years old and had mold issues from condensation every winter. My husband and I want to take more time to do more research on this project and not feel pressured to rush into something.

I had provided them with how many windows I was interesting in replacing and what my budget was. I told them I didn't want them to send someone out if they were outside of my price range. They told me they would send a salesman out to give me pricing instead of giving me a rough estimate over the phone. The salesman was not pressuring and was polite even when I told him I was skeptical since the other estimates I had received where less than half of theirs.

They were the only company that would work with me and spread it out over two years and still give me the whole discount. I've had no problems at all. They were extremely easy to work with and they were always courteous and punctual. They always showed up on time and they were willing to meet with me whenever at the showroom to show me different ideas. They were just great to work with.

Excellent! They were very meticulous in their installation and they had a team of construction folks that had been them for many years and it was not just search for some folks to do some work but rather folks or individuals that had been with them for years. They were very experienced and very capable and any issues or problems which came up were resolved very well. The quality was perfect and absolutely outstanding.

That was several years ago but it was a good experience. They did a good job. It was a great product. They installed it. It looked great when they were done. They could have been more expensive than alternatives. It was a better product but it was expensive. They said they were going to be here on certain day and they were. We didn’t have much contact with them other than to sign the contract and they got out here.

It went great. It was an excellent experience. Their price was an "F" but the value is an "A." I would use them if I have more windows.

They were okay. They did a good job and cleaned up well. I did have a slight bit of a problem with the windows though. I thought they were kind of expensive, but I agreed to it. So I can't complain about it. Also, I found out during this past winter when it was really cold and the wind was blowing, there was some air coming in around the bottom of the windows. That's pretty much with all of the windows. They agreed to a time and they were here at that time. I didn't find anything really wrong with what they did except for the air leakage.

They were great and we were extremely satisfied. I like the quality of their product and the professionalism of the people who did the work (I believe they were actually Andersen employees and they were not contracted out). We had some challenges in our house and they came through beautifully. They had to match the stain in our house because there were several windows that were dark wood; we can't even tell the difference between the stain of the existing wood and what they did. It was pretty amazing! I think it's a good value. One of our windows was cracked and the guy who installed it took a picture. They came promptly to replace what they needed to replace. I would recommend them. If I moved to another home and I had to replace the windows, I would definitely use Renewal by Andersen.

I have been very satisfied with them. They did the house in Virginia. They did it quickly and cleaned up well. One of the windows broke later and they came out right away and replaced it free of charge. When I had my addition done here, I had my contractor order the windows from Anderson and he installed them. My experience is, I really like the windows and the way they conducted themselves. They are expensive and I was satisfied with the work.

I had a good experience and the windows were very good. Their pricing was a little higher but for the quality of the work, it was worth it. I got what I paid for.

It was excellent. It was a great experience. With regard to price, it was not cheap, because it was a lot of windows and they put the highest quality windows and screens. They are reliable and professional. I used them because a friend referred them to me. It was a referral job to begin with. They are pricey, but their quality is the best. We did a lot of research, and their products were the best rated. They came on time. I had no problems.

It was terrific and they were great. They were really pretty efficient and they came on a very cold day and we had to take out all the windows and replace them and they did it very efficiently and quickly.

They were pretty expensive, because we went with double paned and wood with vinyl cover on them. We paid a lot of money. As far as we were concerned, it was worth it. The house was built in 1964. When we went into the Renewal by Andersen showroom, we spent a lot of time looking at the construction of the windows. We had done some comparison shopping. I thought that the windows were very well built, so they were worth the price as far as I was concerned. The quality of service was excellent. With regard to punctuality, they were here when they said they were going to be here.

My experience was excellent. They were very prompt. The men were wonderful. They were very neat and clean. They did a very good job. The quality of their work was excellent. I had no complaints. Nothing unexpected problems occurred. The price was average. These windows came with a lifetime guarantee.

great company to work with. I liked that there were no high pressure sales - and that they were willing to work only with me while my husband was at work/travel. I ran into several other window companies who said "your husband has to be there for us to come out" .....

They are great. They are very professional. Everything is worked out right on the spot. They clean up after themselves. They put it in and they're out very quickly. They know what they're doing. There were no issues. Everywhere we looked we found the same price; they are expensive but you pay for what you get.

They were good and I would use them again when I have money.

We were very pleased. The whole association was extremely pleased. The guy who did the work coordinated it all because we had to go through the historical society because we were in one of the buildings that was on the historic registry. The city department did a great job and we were extremely pleased with the windows. They had to get all the licensing and he coordinated all of it with the two agencies he had to deal with. There were a h*ll of a lot of windows; my condo alone had 18 windows. He did a lot of work to make it happen. We were very pleased with his work and the windows themselves. The Andersen people helped a couple of people find financing. The installation went very smoothly. They were on time, prompt and cleaned up after themselves. We had no problems at all. Any questions were answered immediately. We had bids from 3 or 4 companies and their price was very competitive.

They do a good job. The salesman kind of sucks because he does not know what he is doing but I buy their product because it is a good product and the guys that install it actually know what they are doing. The salesman is kind of a pain. The doors are fine and that is why I bought them. I probably would recommend their services to a friend or a family member. The cost of their last service was between $5,000 to $7,000. Their price is horrible but that is not why you buy their windows and doors. You buy their windows and doors because they are the best. You are paying more for a better product. You pay extra to get the best. Their price is high but the quality of their work is great. Everybody there but the salesman is professional. He is kind of a jerk. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

The cost was high. I disliked their financing, they advertised that it would be 0% interest, and then I was retroactively charged 16%, and I had said I could pay instantly. They had a financial service, so they just brushed it off, I would never do business with them. They are a cheat, advertising 0% interest and then they don't tell you when you have to pay exactly. I was 3 days beyond their so called date, I was willing to pay 16% for the 3 days, but they retroactively did that for the whole year. It is a cheat. The windows are working out fine.

It was a positive experience. We were happy we went with them. The product is a very good product one number, it's not a cheap product but it is in four years time it's held up the way it was described. We did all the spec research of the installers. The installers were very, very good. We actually had one window the first go round that did not quite measure up and he immediately called out to Ohio and had something redone. He gave the measurements to them and they gave us a bridge and replaced the window there in no time. We were one a three year plan and they accelerated the whole thing to a two year plan and finished everything up last year. I had three little windows in my basement that I was trying to replace and Anderson doesn't have a product this size and I talked to the rep we used before and he's got me the name of somebody that does do the product and he's just trying to make sure they will hold up to his referral.
