Devin the service technician was knowledgable and professional. However, the dispatch service coordination was lacking. They tried to schedule the service call before the parts ordered had arrived and would have wasted everyone's time.

The plumber who came was professional, found an additional issue that need to be addressed and took care of it, and did a fanatastic job.

I found myself in need of an HVAC system. My experience with Home Service Doctor's started with a very friendly phone call to schedule an estimate. Russell made an excellent presentation of the options including answers to all my questions. The estimate was pleasing to me and then Russell realized that there was some urgency regarding my install. 24 hours later James and Grant were at my home installing a new HVAC system. They arrived with all the correct parts, did an excellent job installing and even worked with Russell on a last minute add-on that I decided on. The system works well! Everyone was very friendly and professional and it was very clear that James is an expert in his trade… explaining things as he installed. Grant worked outside in a very cramped space in rain and did so without any frustration. I frankly couldn't be happier with the entire team at Service Doctor's.

They are prompt, well organized and follow up with check calls. The team dealt with a new water heater that had a thermocouple that failed, infant mortaility is the technical term we call it in the aviation world. They diagnosed and replaced within the first business day. Great. The unfortunate thing was it was not a stock item since the water heaters are new...probability of this failure is less than .1% and covered Easter weekend with cold showers. Fixed Monday by Damien, a true professional who is customer oriented. While a regrettable instance and a known anomaly with low percentage the company was top notch, huge empathy and handled the issue as quickly as possible with no inference for a second charge or working the issue. They handled it with grace and professionalism.

They got my old water heater out of a tight space. The company I had hired previously told me they could only get it out if I removed door framing or cut a large hole in the wall. Home Service Doctors made it look easy.

Workers were very knowledge about my problem. They were also very polite, clean, and knew how to speak properly. Very good for the Company.

I have always been impressed with HomeAdvisor and the contractors I have hired through them. This is not the case this time. After being connected directly with Home Service Doctors they quickly responded with 2 service people. Based on their credentials and reviews, I was impressed and certain that they had the technical expertise to handle any plumbing problem and mine in particular. As qualified as they appeared, it became quickly obvious that they deploy a series of sales manipulations that no doubt are aimed to "close the deal". They installed a replacement gas controller (supplied by the manufacturer) for a labor cost of $400. Install time was about 45 minutes. The original estimate was $550 but was reduced when I agreed to post a review on social media. Upon completion, one of the service persons mentioned that "he would hate to read in the paper that my house blew up". This was after I declined a initial $108 gas pressure test. When presented the bill, I also was pitched a monthly service agreement. It was filled out and the service rep asked me to sign the agreement to decline acceptance. I refused to sign. I received a thank you note from Randy Baldwin the president of the company a few hours after the completion of the service and I responded back thinking he might like to know how I was treated as a customer. When I checked their website after sending, I learned that HE was one of the service persons who came out on the call and made the comment about hating to see my house blow up. I received a call back from from Randy in response to my email and at the end of the conversation I asked him if he was proud of the way I was treated and would he be "OK" if every customer was treated this way he said "yes" Work quality is one factor in choosing a contractor. Be sure to also consider who has your best interest in mind. Buyer beware!

Damien the plumber was awesome, he did great work and was fast.
