PJ came on time and was very friendly and professional. He explained everything in detail. He fixed the problem and was done in 30 minutes.

Overall, very pleased with the service call and the fact that he didn't ever try to sell us a new motor for which he could have gotten much more money. Would call the company again if needed.

My initial call was answered by an actual person. They came out the same day and fixed the leak the at the same visit. He was very professional and efficient. Prices were very reasonable. I will use them again.

My wife called me at 11am on a Friday telling me that the dryer was dead. I went on Angie's List and found Expert Appliance Services. I called and asked for a repairman - I was told that he would be there between 1-3pm that day. I was very happy to hear they would be out that day. The repairman called before he arrived, arrived exactly at 1pm, and found the problem immediately. The entire visit was about 15-20 minutes, and he was very professional, nice and also quiet (my daughter was napping, and he was very good about trying not to wake her up). He also explained to my wife how it broke and how to avoid the problem in the future. GREAT experience - can't say enough. What could have been a major pain in the butt (days of no dryer) turned into 2.5 hours - didn't even have to go next door to borrow the neighbor's dryer.

I really appreciate that he was able to come back and fix the refrigerator that same evening. KUDDOS!

Friendly and efficient service.

Dryer was not heating so I looked these guys up on Angie's list. It was a holiday weekend so I fully expected to have to wait for a few days but no - they came out on Memorial day and charged no extra fees for it being a holiday! He even showed up 15 minutes early! When does that happen? He Fixed the problem and I had a dryer again. A few days later I seemed to be having more problems with the dryer and called them up again, these guys were back at my house with hours and had it fixed right up. Amazing!

Called late on a week night 8:00 Not only did someone answer the phone he told me he did not have a tech in my area anymore but if I could wait an extra day he himself would come. As promised he came time and had the problem fixed in no time.

The guy is honest but I wouldn't buy a GE frig again. We've had it 10 years, and the control board has gone out twice and the icemaker broke too, and now today we just had Expert Appliances back again. The symptom is that the frig had gotten too warm and ice (snow) was developing on the inside of the freezer. If this happens to you, immediately take your stuff out of the frig part (mine reached 62 degrees inside) - the freezer will stay around 25 degrees - not cold enough but ok for a while until it completely frosts over and gets even warmer. Anyway, PJ came on April 5, replaced the board, came when he said he would and explained everything well. He charged $253 which included a 10% AL discount and he also only charged me for parts when he changed my water valve at the same time - which caused the icemaker not to work. I thought that was it until yesterday when I noticed the frig being too warm. I called him around 4:30, he immediately put me on the sked for 12-2 today, showed up early (called ahead first) and told me it was the freezer defrost thermostat and defrost sensor that were broken, but maybe b/c he just came out last month, or b/c he didn't change these parts last time (although he thinks it was coincidental since this new problem just arose) - he only charged me for parts - $65. He was here over an hour (blow-drying the ice off took the most time), even looked at my 18-year old full freezer which also just died and will call later with an estimate if he tracks down the parts. I thought that $65 was fair - just hope the GE Frig in the future is as reliable as PJ and Expert Appliances is! So, like others are saying, he is reliable - actually answers the phone himself and comes when he says he will - and his pricing seems fair and he knows what he's doing and is honest. What more can you ask for!

My overall experience both times has been exceptional. The first time I called them for a busted washing machine that was full of water and not running. This was a Sunday morning while my husband was out of town and I had 2 toddlers' clothes to wash. I called Expert Appliance Solutions. The technician answered the phone promptly and offered to come that morning. He arrived in about an hour, looked at the washer, diagnosed the problem and had the part to fix it. He made the repair quickly and had me back to my laundry in no time -- with no "emergency" or "Sunday" surcharge -- in fact he even gave me the Angie's list discount from looking at the coupon on my iPad! This time I had no hesitance about calling them for my refrigerator repair. And again they did a great job. The same technician arrived promptly, the same day, diagnosed the problem quickly, had the needed parts with him, made the repair quickly and charged a reasonable price. Certainly the most professional repair service, or any professional service, that I have used. They will always be my first call when I need a repair, and I highly recommend them for being responsive, efficient, reasonably priced, courteous when in my home, and thorough.

They actually squeezed me in the day I called. They came out very promptly and were very efficient. They were able to repair the freezer and were very professional about their work. They communicated well and were very polite.

The clothes washer in our rental home stopped draining on Thursday morning. It's a stack variety with the washer and dryer attached. After doing some googling I concluded we had a pump issue. As a family with a toddler, we were panicked at the thought of not having a washer...things could get smelly around our house! After getting approval from our landlords, I jumped on Angie's list to find a repair service. I called Expert Appliance Services on Friday night around 6pm, expecting to get an answering machine on which I would leave a message in hopes of getting a call back on Monday morning for an appointment that same day. To my surprise, someone answered the phone! He took my information, model # of my machine, and said he could have someone out between 2pm and 5pm the next day?Saturday. I couldn't believe it. He said he would call before the technician arrived. So, the next day, SATURDAY, around 2pm I got a call saying a technician would be at our house within a half hour. Sure enough, a delightful man arrived with tools, a bucket, towels, and a box containing the exact part we needed. He had purchased it based on our description of the problem and the model number I'd given. He promised to have the problem fixed in less than an hour. We were floored to say the least. Not only did he show up right on time, but he had already bought the part and was ready to fix the problem! He gave us a price, around $230, and went to work. He was extremely polite, was delighted to see our son toddling around, and even showed us pictures of his 1.5 year old. In no time he was done, ran the washer through a couple test cycles, and was on his way. We are still completely shocked at how fast this problem was resolved, and can't say enough about the professionalism of this company. I would recommend them without a doubt!! As far as price is concerned, I didn't shop around because our landlords are covering the costs. That said, I wouldn't have signed anything out of line, so I think the price charged was fair and competitive.

Called and left a message on a Saturday afternoon stating our refrigerators had stopped cooling and asked if someone could come out to repair. Received a call back within 5 minutes. They scheduled a time to come out at 5:00 P.M on the same day. They arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, had the part on hand, installed the part, and done in less than a hour. On time, professional, courtesy, and friendly. Would recommend them to family and friends and would definitely use again.

Expert Appliance is professional, fast, and knowledgeable. This is the second (or third) time that we've used them, and we'll continue to do so.

My GE Monogram refrigerator started leaking and stopped cooling. I called the company and received an appointment for the same day. They called a half hour before arrival. The technician determined the issue and rectified the problem within a half hour. He had the replacement part with him. He even cleaned behind my refrigerator!

Bijay returned call and showed up within 2 hours on a Saturday for emergency diagnosis on our Kitchen Aide refrigerator. He quickly determined it was the fan, created a short term solution (as he did not have the part) so the Fridge compressor would not overheat and came back promptly installed the new fan on Monday.Very professional, reliable and friendly.

They were able to come out the same day I called. He fixed everything right away, and now everything seems to be back to normal. They were totally professional, and really went out of their way to help me.

WOW! Outstanding! Exceeded our expectations. Many other service companies should take notes from these professionals. Let's see, from actually answering the telephone during normal business hours, to courtesous conversation, to scheduling, to showing up on time as scheduled, to quick, professional diagnosis of problem, to coordinating part order, AND THEN, here is the kicker- they found/bought/secured the part and returned after a midday first visit the very same evening to install the part!!! I use Angie's List extensively for ongoing renovation and maintenance of our mid 1950s home that we bought "as is" last Fall. No delusions on what we bought, and repairing and maintaining an older home requires work; but after bad service on top of bad service (several providers from Angie's list) what a breath of fresh air!!! We do not think we are difficult customers, good service is rooted in honest communication and doing what you say, OR, following up when plans need to change. These guys knocked it out of the park really! Very impressed and will absolutely use them for all of our appliance needs in the future!

We were getting frost on the back wall of our no-frost freezer. A wonderful service professional showed up on time, assessed the problem -- a Freon leak -- and told me immediately that we should just replace the refrigerator. He said that he could locate the leak and repair it, but there was no way of telling how long this temporary fix would work. That's not news I wanted to hear, but it was honest. I told him my plan was to replace our much older extra fridge in the basement with this one and THEN buy a new one for our main kitchen. He asked "Why buy a new one for downstairs?" I explained that the one downstairs id avocado green! He said "It's working, isn't it?!" He had a point! Then he looked at our oven. He took everything apart and clean the part to the point where it looks new! Great job all around and all he charged was the $59 for the service call. He could have talked me into fixing the fridge and made more money for his company, but instead he gave me solid advice. Great job!

One of the hardest things to do can be finding a repair company you can trust to do the right work at a fair price. After the two experiences I had here I can say that it will now be our go-to company for appliance issues (big or small). On the first service call, instead of trying to make money by ordering replacement parts, he just fixed the one that was broken, and charged a nominal amount for it. For the second job he wasn't sure if what he did worked, so he didn't even charge for labor and only charged his cost for parts. Actually, he wanted to charge $50; I gave him $60 and he said he wouldn't feel right taking the extra $10 because he wasn't confident with the work, so he gave me one of the twenties back ($40 net charge). How often does a repairman give you cash back?! I trust these guys now, and they do a good job, show up promptly and on time and they do honest work at a low price.

Got a same-day appointment. Tech showed up when scheduled and also called 30 minutes before arrival. Repair was done efficiently and very pleased with price. Will use again in future and happy to recommend.

Called for service at 12:10pm. They returned my call within 5 minutes. I gave them the model number, confirmed they had the part, gave me the price and would be at my house by 2pm. PJ arrived at 1:45pm and within 20 minutes, my refrigerator was fixed. Service was quick and professional. I won't hesitate to call them again if I have the need for an appliance repair.
