Workers arrived on time and worked late. When one worker had to leave for a family emergency another worker came to take his place. They were extremely tidy and cleaned up everything before they left. No complaints here.

Called on a Thursday to get an appointment. The appointment was made for Saturday at 4 or 4:30. We received a call on Saturday afternoon that the company person was running an hour late. No call or show at 5:30. Called at 5:45, no call or show. At 6pm, Joe showed-up to give us the quote. He took measurements of each room. In one room we have an area where boards will need to be replaced. When I asked Joe about how he would do this, he told me to not worry and that it was a "secret". I asked him again about how this would be done as it is in the middle of the room and I am concerned about it appearing out of place. He refused to tell me how it would be replaced, other than to insist that it is a secret and they would take care of it. On our stairs, I asked him about replacing the treads, going over top of what is there or doing nothing. He immediately jumped that they be replaced. I then questioned about how this would be performed........ and you guessed it, a secret. We concluded the review of the work and Joe stated that I would have the quote by no later than Tuesday of the following week. Over two weeks passed with no quote. I finally called the office and requested that the quote be sent to me. The lady who answered the phone stated that she would have to check with Joe and his computer and call me back. She called back and stated that the quote was not done and would be sent to me by Tuesday of the upcoming week. I received the quote later on Saturday.

Patrick was extremely professional and responsive. He gave us excellent advice on the best flooring for our needs, and did not try to upsell more than we needed. His crew was professional, finished the job on time, and cleaned up after themselves. We were very pleased with their work, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

They did a great job, were very clean and efficient and took care of moving all the furniture and discarding our old carpeting. We are extremely pleased with the work done and how great our new floors work. Now we are thinking of having them come back and replacing the floors in our bedrooms too! The price was very fair compared to what we had gotten for the amount of work done, and they did the entire project in a day. It took about 3 weeks from when we got the estimate to when the floors were actually installed (which, again, was pretty standard from what we looked at). Overall, very satisfied and would definitely use them again.

The gentleman that did the quote this time, on July 20, was the same as before. Mr. Cho said it would take 2 or 3 days to do the work. When I spoke with the actual workers, they told me that they would get it done in 2 and a half days. At the end of 2 days, since I received no call, I came back and checked the floors, and they didn't look finished. I called the company on the 3rd day, and no one could tell me if the work was done. I said that I'd been by the house several times, and they weren't finishing the work. The man that I spoke with said that he hadn't been able to reach Mr. Cho, and this man didn't know if the work had been completed. We had to stay an extra night away, because they didn't complete the work in the time they said they would. When they claimed the floor was done, it didn't look finished because they were supposed to use a semi-gloss finish, and they weren't glossy at all. They re-applied a coat to make it shinier and make it look finished to my liking, and after this, I still found a strip in my entryway that I had to call them back to finish on the 4th day. They never contacted their office to contact me to tell me the work was done at any time during this process. If they had, I would've been able to tell them what they had missed sooner, and I would've noticed what needed to be re-done sooner, and they could've finished it, so that we could've returned to our home sooner. My main problems with them were lack of communication and lack of quality control. This is a Super Service Award-winning company, and I would've given this award to them in 2005, but not this time.

We liked everything about it. We would use them in the future.

K&K did an excellent job. However, I wish they could have been more helpful regarding wood stain color options and selection. I purchased many MinWax. Cabot and McCormick samples trying to find the right stain color. I've heard that some floor refinishing companies will customize stain color for you. This wasn't an option with K&K. They bring out new floors as examples of color but what they should provide is MinWax colors on white oak, red oak etc. so the customer has a better sense of how the stain that K&K uses will look on their refinished floor.

I was extremely pleased with this company. I contacted K&K Floors and was promptly answered, they called to arrange an appointment to come to my home to measure. Once I told the person that I wanted hardwood flooring, he suggested Somerset Flooring. I got a proposal the next day and after receiving my check for 1/2 of the proposal cost they promptly called me back to arrange an installation date. They arranged to bring the hardwood flooring a few days before the installation to acclimate. I was a bit concerned the day of installation because they didn't arrive until 9:00 and since there was so much to do I thought they would be there at 8:00. Of course they promptly got to work and I can't say they even took a break for lunch. I did have one concern that the person in charge of the group didn't have a clue what was to be done and I had to provide him a copy of the proposal. I have a note here, not a complaint, they needed 3 parking spots together (2 for the trucks and one place to put their equipment). Living in a townhouse I only have 2 parking spots and they aren't together. I had to ask one neighbor to move her car (which she was willing). Had I known I would have asked before hand rather than bothering her on her day off. They were very good about cleaning up the area before they left. They took all the carpeting and laminate flooring they pulled up. As to the work they performed was 'outstanding'. I am soooo! pleased with the flooring, the 4 workers were so meticulous in their craft. I put flooring in a hallway but not the bedrooms and they the transition from the hardwood to the existing carpeting was done extremely well. I will also say that they were there for 12 hours and in a townhouse I like to keep the noise down for my neighbors, so I was concerned about how late they were working, of course I was glad they took their time to complete the job. I will definitely use this company when I do my bedrooms.

We selected K&K based upon previous reviews here. Overall we have been very happy with K&K. Their prices were quite competitive. In fact, Cho regularly tried to encourage us to choose LESS expensive options! Their installation was well-done- good quality, on time, and professional. Their flexibility with a variety of requests have been well handled. While there were times in the overall process that we would have liked them to be more proactive in calling us with updates, they were generally well responsive when we called them.

We looked into multiple companies - we like the fact that Patrick Liu was so knowledgeable and that their company seemed to have lots of experience and good recommendations. Their price was significantly lower than some of the other companies. Patrick was pivotal in our decision to what type of floors to put in and we ultimately decided to go with the MIrage prefinished wood. We were having multiple projects done to our new house before moving in - many of these projects were unanticipated projects that we realized needed to be done only have closing. Needless to say, our schedule was extremely limited and every contractor needed to work with each other in a finely orchestrated manner. I changed things on Patrick multiple times and he despite their busy schedule, he accommodated every single one. Not only that, but he got the job done faster than he expected. His workers were prompt, professional and they cleaned up very well afterwards. I couldn't be happier with the service they provided and the superior work they did.

Patrick came out to my townhouse and gave me an estimate, which seemed reasonable. The carpeting work was done promptly but the technicians failed to nail in some of the securing metal pieces and it took a few phone calls to get someone to finish the job. I also found a little bit of leftover carpet in my subsequent walkthroughs. Overall, it was a pretty good experience and the carpet looks beautiful. The crew that did the refinishing/restaining also did a good job at their actual task, but they left up a bunch of plastic sheeting. I also think they may have damaged the seal on my front door - however, it was already loose, and I wasn't present when the work was being performed. The refinishing was really well done - the flooring was cupped from minor water damage and pretty squeaky, it's much better now - so I'd use them again, despite the crew needing to show a little more concern about the houses in which they're working.

Overall experience was very good. Initial appointment was for the discussion or product, selection and measurements. Company rep, Joe, was knowledgable and helpful in selecting our flooring product. Approximately two weeks later the product was delivered to climatize. We requested this to ensure there was minimal expansion/contraction after installation. This delivery happened with not much notice. (Phone call the morning they wanted to deliver.) Luckily it was a weekend and it was not a problem. We did have a little bit of disconnect with the scheduled installation date. The front office called to confirm the date. We had a misunderstanding for the day. After calling when the installers did not show up on the Saturday we thought they were coming, they told me it was scheduled for a different day. We discussed and Joe coordinated for the crew to install on the very next day (Sunday). Installers were very good and did a good job. We had a small issue with the trim work on the stairs that was not noticed until after the crew left. K&K had an installer come out the next Saturday and correct the issue with no issue. Overall very happy with K&K.

I was very happy with them. They were very responsive and helpful. It took me a long time to decide on what I wanted and they just kept making suggestions and were very patient with me. They never really pushed me for anything. I think they were extremely careful with the installation work. They went above and beyond just installing the wood floor. I had a door that was catching the floor and they sanded the frame and greased it, which they didn't have to do. They cleaned up really well after the work and protected my porch flooring where they were working. I think their price was fair. I would absolutely use their service in the future.

I found three companies on Angie's List. One company I could not reach by phone so I eliminated them from consideration. I scheduled the other two to come out and give me estimates. I selected K&K because they provided samples quickly, I liked the wood they recommended more than the other company and their price was significantly lower with the Angie's List discount they give. The installers arrived on time, communicated with me to resolve a few issues they encountered as they worked, and finished the job in 8 hours. They cleaned up as they went and there was no damage to my home. I would use them again.

It went very well initially. This year I called them to repair some nail pops - they came out and did the repairs very promptly and there was no expense to us at all. Their initial job was excellent and then the follow up was excellent as well.

Sales: We were recommended with a couple of recommended options and we went along with the their recommendation. We got the quote relatively fast and there was extensive information. The price was in the middle of other quotes but based on the amount of scope, it would be in the lower side. Installation:: They came up on time. They worked all day and finished the work on time. They moved the furniture as needed and asked us if we wanted to move them in a different location. They cleaned up after the work with no traces of work. Quality: The hardwood was very nicely installed and all even. Overall we are very satisfied and would use K&K services again.

From the time I walked into the showroom, where Mr. Cho patiently explained the ins and outs of hardwood flooring and helped me make an informed selection, to the actual installation of my new flooring, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The professionalism exhibited by Mr. Cho and the entire installation crew was beyond good. Four installers arrived at the agreed-upon date and time, and worked flat out all day long, not even breaking for lunch. They removed all my old carpeting and wood flooring, installed the new flooring, and did a thorough cleanup before leaving. My new floors are absolutely beautiful and blemish free. Without question I will return to K & K Floors for my future flooring needs. I highly recommend this contractor.

K&K Floors exceeded all of our expectations for this difficult project of installing new flooring and refinishing the old floors to maintain a consistent stain color. We had uneven and squeaky sub flooring which K&K was able to remedy within their original cost estimate. The work was done on time, within budget and done to a high level of quality that surpassed our goal. I would highly recommend them for any wood flooring installation or refinishing project.

The estimator was a very nice person who was straight forward and easy to work with. Hardwood floors on the main level of the house were refinished while we were away. There were many sanding swirl marks and the floors were wavy. They came back to fix the issues right away. They did a good job with the swirl marks but the floors are still wavy. I'm sure they would have come back for another try, but we were putting our house on the market and didn't have another week to lose.

K&K Floors was one of three companies I spoke with regarding the installation of hardwood floors on the main level of my house. Although I had previously used a different company for flooring in the past, I had been recently frustrated by the level of customer service I was receiving for my new project. So I was pleased when Patrick met me at my house after work one evening, measured and gave me a tentative estimate right on the spot. Additionally, he explained to me that the flooring I had been considering (Mohawk) was a lesser quality product and offered to install the Somerset hardwood at the same price. On the day of installation, his crew (of at least 5 men) arrived around 8:45am and stayed until 7:00pm when the job was complete. I don't even think they stopped to eat. They were friendly, professional and generous with their help in moving items around. There were two planks that seemed to be damaged during installation. I pointed the first out and they replaced it. After watching how difficult it was to replace the first plank, I decided not to mention the second one. Other than those, the installation looks great, well spaced and well matched. I am VERY happy with the results and would not hesitate to recommend this company. In fact, I plan to hire them again in the future to replace the remained carpeted staircases in my home with matching hardwoods.

This is the second time we have used K & K for flooring. Both times they have done an excellent job. Joe came to our house with carpet samples, took measurements, and gave us an estimate. We had several estimates done and the one from K & K was at the lower end. Based on our previous positive experience with them, we decided to use them again. They installed the carpet two weeks later in one day. They did a great job and left everything spotless. I would not hesitate to use K & K again or recommend them to others.

A rep from the company came to our house, gave us an estimate and the work for performed about 2 weeks later. Perfect!
