Top Notch Tree Service

You have to keep an eye on these guys. Damaged things and never said anything about it. To be clear, good workers under watchful eyes!

There was obvious miscommunication with our transaction and expectations. We thought Justin was to take the trees down and stack the wood on the hill. We were left with having to cut and stack the wood ourselves. These were very large trees and they were simply left where they fell, on the hillside. When we asked about the stacking of the wood, Justin's reply was "I don't remember that". After my husband called to discuss the situation, he did come back the next day and spent about 35 minutes cutting up some of the smaller limbs. My advice, if you hire Top Notch, is that you get a quote and details about the expectations of the job in writing before you hire.

Justin did a good job on 4 of the 5 trees he was to cut and his co-worker cleaned up the brush quite well. However one tress was left in limbo as it got hung up in some other tree limbs. It may drop in time but for now it simply leans. Justin's price was fine and I will call on him again in a couple years.

I got a response from Justin the very day I submitted my project information. He came to assess the situation and gave me a great price for what I needed done. Since there is no immediate access to the tree on my property, we needed cooperation from my neighbors, and he honored my request to allow time to coordinate with them. Very nice folks; great job at a great rate. I'll use them again and would recommend them highly to anyone needing tree service!

I really want to give Top Notch top scores in every category being evaluated. They did what they said they would do in a timely, efficient and professional manner. The estimate was substantially lower than other firms in our area. They cleaned the yard debris up and made sure I was satisfied before they left. I couldn’t have been more pleased.

We were very pleased with the work that Top Notch Tree Service did for us. Justin was a joy to work with. Polite, prompt, efficient, and thorough. There were a number of trees on the property that we considered for removal and had prioritized into "must remove", "would like to remove", and "if possible, would also like to remove". Top Notch's excellent prices and efficiency made it possible for all of that work to be done now across 3 visits. Five trees were able to be removed in just that first consultation visit, which knocked out a large chunk of the work in quick order. He is very mindful of where he is working and knowledgeable about how temperature and weather conditions can determine what type of equipment the ground itself may be able to support as work is being done. He also provides choices as to what will be done with the wood: whether someone wishes to keep the wood, have it disposed of, or transported to somewhere else. The biggest tree that we needed to have removed was a large maple. While we couldn't make use of the firewood ourselves, we were able to identify someone in the area that could and Justin was able to deliver the wood to him. Overall, from start to finish, it was a great experience. We would highly recommend Top Notch Tree Service.
