Description of Work: I hired Jeff for refrigerator repair. Previously, others advised me to purchase a new frig. He repaired the frig for about $30.00, and it has been working properly ever since. Description of Work: Jeff evaluated our refrigerator freezer and determined that it was more economical to replace it. Informed my landlord and they are the ones who are taking care of it. He is always very polite and very prompt. Will definitely use him in the future.

Description of Work: Repaired my refrigerator which was not cooling below the freezer. No parts were required, so I was charged only a service fee though there was labor required. | |I seldom encounter a service person/owner who is this fair. The freezer was freezing over and attempting to defrost. This prevented the rest of the fridge from cooling. | |Jeff, the owner, was personable, informative, genuinely concerned for my need to have a functioning refrigerator, especially during the holidays. He explained everything he did to remedy the problem as he worked. He was fast and efficient. I could not have asked for a nicer service provider or experience! | |My refrigerator is colder than ever! He explained that often customers would toss out a perfectly repairable appliance that could be salvaged as was the case with my fridge. | |I might add that I have now found three excellent service providers through Angie's List and will always rely on their information before hiring anyone in the future! It is money well spent, and I've more than recouped the fee paid.

Description of Work: The refrigerator was freezing up. Jeff unplugged the drain, which was an ordeal to access. He was able to squeeze me into his schedule the same day that i called. He was fast and professional. The fridge still works great. I would recommend.

Description of Work: My washing machine was making noises during washing cycle.He worked on it but nothing he did fixed the problem. He was very professional while he was here, but my washer will continue to suffer until its end I suppose. He did explore several possibilities but none would correct my problem. So it goes. Description of Work: Very responsive. Said what he would do and did it! Fixed a french door ref replacing the latching mechanism (LG). A week lated our dishwasher failed. Service call on time resulted in a decision to replace the dish washer. Purchased on week end and instaled on Monday! Only one service call for the two visits. Great to work with. Service call $85.

+ -1 moreAfter the sad discovery that my wonderful Amana side-by-side was now a boat anchor, he recommended some brands to buy and not to buy. Then he made a call to a friend at a local dealer to ask them to find a fridge that fit our space and give us a good deal. They did! Money well spent for Jeff's visit!
Description of Work: After finding on Thursday night that my refridgerator had stopped cooling, I called Jeff on Friday morning, expecting he might come out the next week. He was there by noon Friday. Jeff found the trouble with our refridgerator, and said it was an easy fix if the part was in the warehouse. Not only was it not in the warehouse, Amana had stopped making the part, and none were to be found. He was very apologetic, even though it was not at all his fault. In moving the refrigerator the copper water tube started a small leak. He fixed it, but said it would leak again if we moved the thing, so he went to the basement and traced the pipes to the cut-off valve for the fridge water. We didn't even know it was there. He turned it off and offered to come back and install a more modern tubing to replace the copper so this problem wouldn't reoccur.

+ -1 moreCame back from a mini vacation to a refrigerator that was not working. I was able to contact Jeff on a Sunday evening and he came out Monday morning to assess the situation. He helped me move items out of the refrigerator and freezer and determined that the freezer had frozen up so before we could go on, we had to defrost the freezer. He returned a day later and was able to determine that we had a bad control board and ordered it. The next day, he got the part and replaced it and did not leave until he was sure we had corrected the problem. He swung by the next day to double check the temperatures and make sure everything was working. Jeff was extremely professional and knowledgeable about refrigerators, dryers, and hvac. I would not hesitate to call him and use him for any of these appliances.

+ -1 moreWe called him on 1/10/13 at 8 am, Jeff answered the phone and said he could come on Saturday morning. He called on noon on Friday and sai he could come later that afternoon, he arrived at 3 pm. We were extremely pleased with his work ethic, friendliness, and reasonable charges!!!
Description of Work: Jeff accessed our Maytag washer, told us problems and told us it would not be worth repairing. He also gave us some advice on anew washer. Jeff is a knowledgeable tech and was a great help to us!

Description of Work: Jeff has worked on our washer and dryer and today worked on our freezer. He is trustworthy, hardworking, dependable and I would hire him again in a heartbeat. Just wish all companies were like him. He was honest about our washer when the bearings went bad, recommending to replace it even though he could have made money fixing it. He not only fixed and cleaned our dryer when a sensor went out (because it caught on fire!) but also recommend proactive steps to correct issues with our exhaust vent to prevent it from happening again! I couldn't recommend anyone more!

+ -1 more-- I'm a DIY kind of guy, and had attempted on my own a repair to the defrost system of my refrigerator, thinking from what I learned from on-line sources that this was the most likely problem. Although I also had concern as to whether it was cooling properly or not. -- Jeff came by and checked out what I had done, but saw evidence that was not mentioned by my sources. He determined that the cooling system had a leak or obstruction, and this was the reason for the inadequate cooling and excessive frost in the "frost-free" freezer. He stated he could attempt a repair, but it might cost about $350 and even then there was no guarantee it would be successful. I much appreciated his honesty on this. -- So his recommendation was to replace the unit. He even called a friend in an appliance store and priced a similar unit for me. -- Next time I will probably just call him before attempting too many repairs on my own, and at least from my experience would not hesitate to recommend him to others..

+ -1 moreWe had a filter behind our former refrigerator made of fiber glass. We noticed water on the floor. The filter was falling apart. He took it out of the line and he put the line to the refrigerator which had its own filter. It was very clean work. When there has been a need schedule change he calls to explain the situation and let us know ahead of time.
Description of Work: He does heating and AC, but he is currently working on our dryer. He has also repaired a leak for us.
