This place was just down the street from my house so I took a chance and went here for my VA Safety Inspection. This would determine if I come back in here in the future. Inspections began at 7am and I was the first in line. A little after 7am, my car was in the bay. Went in to write up a ticket and the guys (especially Greg) was super friendly as was the other gentleman behind the counter. The place was clean, the folks behind the counter was dressed professionally and the waiting area had plenty of cushioned seating and a tv. As I sat and waited (for about 30 mins), the place started to fill up with customers and they were all greeted nicely and with a smile. I was pleasantly surprised. They even had shuttle service! They didn't sell me anything I didn't need. They informed me that my brake pads were a bit unevenly worn so I should consider replacing in the near future. I inquired about 60k maintenance service and they gladly quoted me and also pointed out that there's a lot of "inspections" on that particular service. I'm definitely coming back for my 60K service on my Honda and 90K service on my Infiniti SUV. I left with a smile and a handshake....awesome place!

I was worried about my car and they checked out my car without charging me anything. They are always helpful, friendly, and they do what they have to do to keep your business. They have good quality of work.

Have a new car with 1500 miles and got a flat. The nail in the tire was visible in the tread close to the tire sidewall, but inside the tread. Put on spare, went to Virginia Tire, they said it was too close to the edge and had to be replaced. I don't know tires that well and did not have time to go anywhere else so I took their recommendation to replace the tire. They said I should come back in the afternoon and they would have the replacement tire and they would do the work. In the afternoon, they called and said the tire was delayed and to come the next day. I came the next day, they put the replacement tire on the car, and all is fine. I don't know if the tire should have been replaced but it works fine now.

The service is good. They do the work in a professional manor, but they are one of the higher places to get your car worked on.

Front tires were wearing on the inside and had to be replaced. I believe that they should have notice the uneven wear when they performed the state inspection several weeks before but they did not. I had them align the front end and bought two new tires. They did a good job with that at a reasonable price.

A couple of times I was there, and if I didn't know what I was talking about, they would have taken me for a ride. I felt like the manager was a little dishonest. One time my wife took the car, and they did some extra work with out telling her, charging us a lot. I confronted him, and he reduced the price. They are OK for basic things, but I don't trust them for major work. I'll use them for small things like oil changes.

The staff there is friendly and helpful. They never try to sell unnecessary work.

I took two cars in today. The first was for a simple oil change/ tire rotation on a hybrid. They pointed out that the oil was special and needed to be the synthetic that the manufacturer recommended. I approved after a simple phone call. They presented me with all the finding on the brakes and the tire tread. Very good experience. The car was ready on time and I was able to bring in a second car. The second car is very high mileage vehicle. They did the oil change. They called and recommended that due to the color of the transmission fluid they recommended a change. They also noted poor cold cranking amps for the battery and some issues with a windshield wiper. Car was ready on time. This time they did not go over the particulars with me, but they did not do the brake and tire inspection so maybe there was nothing more to go over than was already pointed out via phone. I have been to other shops in the area and they have an ample amount of supervisors and it seems like you can get in and out quickly.

I have given this auto service company 2 years of my time. money and cars and enough is enough! It's so hit and miss with their service and after our last fiasco I have completely wiped my hands free of them. We were told we had an all-wheel drive car and needed 4 new tires... ummm not quite a simple check under the car would have shown that it was not an all-wheel drive car. I know that mistakes happen, but they didn't seem bothered at all that we were going to buy 2 extra tires that we didn't need. Then there was the new starter, ahem dud, that they put in. When I started the car it sounded horrific! Luckily a very nice service man said that it should not have left the bay like that and apologized for having to keep the car a 2nd day. We were told the manager would follow up about a price adjustment. Well she did follow-up... after I left a negative service review! UPDATE: Marty (the store manager) called me earlier this week to apologize for the situation in August. He was not the manager that we worked with last time, this was a male and we were supposed to hear back from a female last time. His commitment to customer satisfaction and eagerness to turn a negative experience into a more positive one was apparent and so my husband and I decided to drop off our car again for brake work. Just got home and the brakes are working like a dream! It was a completely different experience than the other times I have had work done on our cars and I am pleased to say that I will be returning to their shop in the future. The staff was prompt and professional. Marty was wonderful to work with, and Wes at the front desk was very informative this morning when he called to explain what work needed to be done, and what their suggestions were. Thank you VA Tire and Auto of Ashburn for a MUCH better experience :-)

I've been going there for around 15 years. The deskmen, Greg and Ed, are very friendly and have been there forever. They always take care of me when I come in for anything. The mechanics have always been honest with me. I'm happy with their services. I go there often for any auto service that I need.

Overall, it was not bad they just need to pay more attention to quality. Their sales people are top notch and very professional.
