This is an unprofessional outfit. It established a time to do an estimate and then failed to keep the appointment and failed to notify me that it was not going to keep the appointment.

Prompt response to my inquiry, but I had decided to go with another company before an estimate could be given.

BOB POTTS WAS VERY EASY TO WORK WITH AND TOOK CARE OF ALL DETAILS TO COMPLETE THE JOB ON TIME. HE WAS ALWAYS RESPONSIVE AND WOULD RETURN CALLS QUICKLY. THE WORK LOOKED BEAUTIFUL AND THE HOUSE SOLD IN ONE WEEK AFTER LISTING IT. SO LITTLE STRESS WITH POTTS BROTHERS DOING THE WORK. WOULD RECOMMEND HIS COMPANY TO ALL. THANKS BOB!

I think what written about them by other people stands true to form. They came in with a team of people. They were punctual. They did a professional job. They did everything perfectly. They were able to give me good referrals when they couldn't do the work themselves. They were a little expensive, but if you wanted to shop around you might find a better price. They got the work done quickly, they had a whole team and they were able to do it.

I needed my townhouse to be painted in a specific 4 day period. I obtained estimates from several contractors. Potts Brothers was quick to respond. Mr. Potts came out to see the townhouse and responded the next day with an estimate. Potts brothers estimate was comparable with other estimates received. Monday, the first day of the job a crew of 2 or 3 painters started late morning and only painted in the master bedroom. When Mr. Potts came by Tuesday morning I reminded him that the job had to be completed by Thursday. By mid-morning there were 6 painters on the job. The crew was amazing. Very organized, worked very fast. Nail pops were repaired, cracks repaired, calk removed and replaced, and 2 coats of paint were put on walls and ceiling. The painters finished the job early, by early afternoon on Wednesday. I am very satisfied with the job. Potts Brothers were very professional and a pleasure to work with. I would use them again.

The service was very professional and easy to use. They came out the Saturday before to look over the required work and provided an estimate on Monday morning. They did the work on a Friday and Saturday so I only had to take one day off from work. They arrived on time with a crew of 4 workers and worked from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM on Friday and again from 8:30 to 1:00 PM on Saturday to complete the job. The workers were friendly and professional and took great care with drop cloths to keep everything clean. The quality of the work was excellent and I have already given their name to an office co-worker who is looking for painters.

The company - though attentive to our questions poor communication as the schedule got pushed back. The garage crew left much to be desired and had to return to fix many things. And we had hours of clean up in the garage and in basement just inside garage door. The carpenter who did the built-ins (Jose) did an amazing job matching the detail of the existing fireplace mantle. Though the paint crew had to return to fix the paint on top of the carpenter's built-ins. Now that they are finished, the built-ins have revolutionized our living room. LOVE them!

great. everyone we dealt with was very professional. Potts uses subs, they did a great job. no paint on window glass or the house, just a very good job on the window trim. their estimator was the only bidder to suggest using the best grade of paint since the material cost would be only be a faction of the total cost.

The service went really well. I liked the reliability, they called back when they said they were going to, and the quality of work was good.

Made an appointment and received the estimate which was detailed and matched my requirements, the estimator was attentive, knowledgeable, and prompt. Communication with this company was difficult, however, and I did not receive a response to my latest e-mail, so could not complete the deal. Would like to have done business with them, but will have to look elsewhere.

The front porch area (portico, bannister and stair rails) and wood trim under the bay window on the front exterior of our home needed painting and repair of one stair rail and the bottom column caps were rotten and needed replacing. The kitchen walls and the stairway area off the kitchen leading down to the basement also needed repainting. Our puppy had chewed the wood trim around the entryway into the kitchen, so that needed replacing and repainting. I called 3 companies for a bid. I asked each company to separate out the cost to do the exterior work from the interior work. Potts Bros was the only company to get me a detailed bid as I'd asked. I called Potts and spoke to Darlene, who scheduled an appt for an estimate for the following week. Alvis Potts arrived at the appointed time. He was polite, professional and thorough. After the walkthrough, he repeated everything back to me that we had discussed I would guess to ensure he understood what I wanted. He then took a few measurements and said he'd send me the bid via email (per my request) within a few days. I rec'd the bid within 2 days. The cost was below the first bid and higher than the 3rd bid. I opted to go with Potts b/c they were established and b/c they were the most responsive during the bid process. The painters showed up when I was told they would come. Robt Potts came along to ensure the workers performed exaclty what we wanted. There were 3 gentlemen working on the painting. They worked quickly, but were careful, extremely polite and clearly knew what they were doing. I had purchased the paint myself. One of the painters left to get supplies (wood) to repair the rotten portions on the front porch and the damaged interior wood trim.Robt Potts had left his contact info with me should there be any problems. The job took 2 days. From start to finish it was exactly what I wanted and without problems. We are extremely happy and satisfied with the work. I highly recommend the Potts Bros and we'll definitely be calling them again for future work.

We were extremely pleased with Potts Brothers. Jesse Potts performed the estimate at our townhouse and was informative and helpful. I had some follow up questions and adjustments to the estimate and Darlene in the office was helpful in answering my questions. Bob Potts arrived with Jose, the foreman, and went through the work to be done. Jose's crew performed the work. They were hard-working, competent, and professional. They did a great and high quality job!! Shortly after the team completed the work, we noticed that some of the crown molding seams needed to be recaulked. We contacted Potts Brothers, and Jose came out and took care of it without a problem. We truly appreciated their responsiveness and dedication to making sure everything was done to our satisfaction.

Fast and great work, wish i had used them in my master bathroom. Would recommend. Gutted second bathroom to studs, retained bathtub. installed new floors, shower tile, shower, vanity, fan, lights and painted. ~2 weeks start to finish. Started a little early.

The services provided by Potts Brothers was very good. One of the things I liked about Bob Potts was he made suggestions about what should be done and the ramifications if the work was not done. It was not a hard sale but those people who knows about these types of things may find his suggestions annoying but as someone who does not, I was pleased. There were some minor glitzes but we made Bob Potts aware of them and they were corrected shortly after that. I would recommend Potts Brothers without question.

Potts did an excellent job in painting my 60 year old house. The best part is that they are an extremely friendly firm and very easy to deal with. Thus, it has been very easy to make adjustments in the work as it goes along. They were very timely and efficient, so the disruption of painting was kept to a minimum. I was so pleased when I started to deal with them that I did not comparison shop; I felt that the price was reasonable enough even if it might not be the lowest possible price.

They were wonderful. They people who installed the baseboards, chairrails and ceiling trim work were awesome. I was remiss in writing this review when they performed the work. I am still amazed at the work they did to my home. I love it!!

As for the cost of the job, I obtained only one other estimate, and Potts Brothers was the lower of the two. I had no idea professional interior painting was as expensive as it is, so cannot truly give an objective rating on the cost. I do know they did in two days what would have taken my husband and I a lot longer to complete! Other than the lack of communication on the time the job would start on day 1, I am pleased with the work performed by Potts Brothers. They were very thorough in the patching of minor and major flaws in the existing drywall - I was surprised to see the number of areas which had been patched - and the paint was well applied throughout all areas and on the ceilings. At the end of day 1, they cleaned up the work area, wiping the floors and baseboards to remove loose drywall dust and minimized the amount of storage area of the tools/quipment they would require the next day. The painters (2 on day 1, 3 on day 2) assigned to my job were courteous and professional, and very tolerant of the interruptions I needed to make to let the dog out throughout the two days required to complete the job. Multiple coats of paint were required to get the color I wanted in the dining room, and I am very satisfied with the finished results. I had selected different colors for the ceilings and walls, plus yet another color for the trim (windows, doors, baseboards) and stair posts. There are only two suggestions I can make that would have made this a better experience: 1) Communicate in advance what time someone will show up on the first scheduled day of work, and that the paint will not be purchased until that time; and, 2) Either provide, or suggest the customer provide, some form of separator between the rooms which are being worked on and the ones which are not to minimize the amount of drywall dust throughout the home.

All work done by the Potts Brothers painting crew was outstanding. The repairs done to the areas of damaged siding was very professionally done. The painters recaulked all areas of the siding as they painted. They completed the job in two days and were very accommodating about working around our schedule. I was very pleased with the job they did and would definitely recommend them to others.

I would have to strongly caution anyone planning to use this provider. My outcome, overall was acceptable because I had a conscientious subcontractor, Gillie's Painting, which included a crew of five hard-working men. Gillie seemed to have pride in his work and supervised the crew well. By the second day I began to understand through Maria's excellent translation that Potts has not adequately briefed Gillie about the work involved. In fact, Gillie was provided NO COPY of my proposal/contract. Potts' brief instructions on what the contract included was inadequate and in fact misleading. For instance, Gillie told Maria he was told only the interior of the screened porch was included. I printed a copy of the Potts proposal/contract and gave it to Gillie. I carefully walked him through all the details of what was included. He stated that he was not informed on many of the details and was told on many that they specifically were excluded. He stated that the system by which he worked for Potts was to finish a job, then go to Potts to find out how much they would pay him. He agreed to perform all the work per the contract anyway; was cooperative, polite and helpful. I called Potts at one point to make them aware of the discrepancies and left a message. No one at the company ever returned my call. No one from Potts ever returned to the job site to check on the progress or to oversee or check the work of the crew. Maria learned during the course of the work that many of the men did not have green cards to work in the U.S. I questioned Gillie as to whether all were covered by insurance as they were working on high ladders -- dangerous work. Gillie assured me that one of the conditions that Potts had for giving him work was that he have insurance. However, I was uncomfortable wondering how possibly illegal workers were covered by his or any insurance. All the work agreed to in writing by my contract was performed in a workmanlike manner. However, the contract had called for Duration paint and I noticed the contractor used Beahr. I chose not to dispute this. From Maria, I learned that until I gave him a copy of my proposal, Gillie had no idea of the extensive nature of the work and did not have a clear understanding of what he would be paid before he began. I believe that his compensation was probably inappropriate for the work involved. I tipped him to try to compensate somewhat for this. I would urge anyone thinking of using Potts Brothers to print a copy of their signed agreement and provide it to the subcontractor on the day work begins and to go over it carefully with the subcontractor, hopefully accompanied by a native Spanish speaker. I would advise also that you not hire this company unless someone can be home all the time during the work to resolve questions as they arise. I would advise you to demand a copy of Potts Brothers's certificate of insurance and be sure it covers any and all workers on the job for injury, whether naturalized U.S. citizens or not. I would recommend that you request a written assurance from Potts that they take full responsibility for checking the lawful work papers of any workers on the job and provide a waiver of your responsibility. I would never use this firm again. My interior designer had provided an esitimate for a painting company that was $2,000 higher. In retrospect, I should have gone with that provider. I would have slept better at night.

Alvin Potts came to our home to survey our painting needs, both interior and exterior. He was very patient with my questions and was very gracious to come back a week later to re-adjust the estimate and answer my husband?s questions. Everyone at the Potts Brothers Company was very helpful and very professional. Now, every good exterior paint job needs to be prepared with a solid cleaning. On the Friday before the scheduled painting, we got phone call from Alvin telling us their power-washing gentleman had minor surgery and asked if this work could be done on Saturday. Quite understandable and we agreed. The gentlemen showed up and did a good job?even working through the discomfort of post-surgery! On the morning of the painting project, Gus Potts arrived, right on time, with a very large crew. We walked through the job description and as the men got down to work, Gus went to purchase the paint. We have a 4-bedroom home that needed some wood repair along with a front door and back door that needed serious attention. (I was not sure of the front door color and Gus gave me his expert opinion on my two samples which turned out great.) All our requests were met: old weather stripping was replaced and new front door hardware (purchased by us) was installed at the end of the day. They cleaned up and left a special ?caution? tape across our front walk that was just painted per our request. The men were polite, courteous and professional. It seemed any request from us was no problem and nicely accomplished! We were so happy about the results that we are looking forward to our next project with Potts: our entire interior, walls and ceilings!

My call to request a quote was returned within a couple of days and the estimator was polite and prompt. I received the quote by email the day after the site visit and a written copy by mail few days later. That was all fine. However, the quote was almost twice as much as the other quote we received so we decided not to hire them.

I obtained four estimates, three from companies rated highly on Angie's list. Potts Brothers' estimate was the lowest. The estimator arrived promptly. The painting crew did a very good job. They arrived when they said they would, took less than the amount of time estimated, cleaned up each day. There was a fairly small detail that I wanted handled differently than they had done. They returned promptly and redid it to my satisfaction. I was very pleased with the quality of the work, both the repairs and the painting.
