They were extremely fast (got to me within a day!) and friendly - they were able to fix my washer at least temporarily so I didn't have to get a brand new one - they were honest with me that it might just be a temporary fix.

He was very professional, and knowledgeable. He came on the right scheduled time. I was really satisfied with his services, and I will highly recommend his him.

Discovered that the refrigerator was not cooling. Called at 8 a.m. and scheduled service. Was given a window of 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Service rep arrived at approximately 10, all better by 11:30 or so. Installed new thermostat, defrosted ice on the evaporator coil. Very professional and I would use them again. Same day service, excellent!

I have ge fridge not working I called SOS appliance at 10 oclock am they send me tech at 11 am he diagnos the problem very quick ,and he fixed with replacing the timer .he was very professional,he explain the problem and fixed.job was done in 35 mn saved food and money (I was planning to buy new one ).sos appliance is the best so far,most prompt and very reasonable prices.i will use them for the future,and I will recommend them strongly .

I bought a Big Deal for $99 for Kitchen and Laundry Appliance Tune-Ups and Cleaning, Plus a Garbage Disposal Inspection. I bought this because I thought there would be throrough cleaning of my garbage disposal and dishwasher, and vacuuming of my dryer vent. Was this really necessary? Probably not, but I thought that it might be a good thing to do. I must have read far too much into the services provided by the deal, as that's not at all what I got. Basically it was like "Is this working?" and picking up dust underneath/around the refrigerator and the washer/dryer. The deal was a complete waste of money. Unless you've noticed legitimate issues with an appliance, I wouldn't buy this deal. The guy who came was real nice and I'd imagine knew exactly what he was doing. He did change a short dryer vent, for $55; it was needed if we were to move the dryer, which we had been considering. But it wouldn't have been evident without him actually moving the dryer. So really it was a non-necessary expense until the dryer was moved during the "tune-up." Other annoying thing is that it wasn't easy to schedule and then all of a sudden I get a call from the technician that he was 30 minutes away. I never had agreed to that day. But since I work from home, it wasn't an insumountable hassle. Yet annoying because I did not schedule it for that day. Basically, I could've saved $155. I would consider using SOS in the future, solely because I liked the guy who came out. But avoid this deal if you have zero existing issues. I wish there was a "Maybe" option for the Use This Provider in the Future question.

Some of the things that I purchased with this Big Deal just didn’t happen. I was told that I kept such a nice house that it didn’t cleaned. I would have liked for him to clean behind the refrigerator, but he did not even pull it out. He pretty much overrode any attempts I made to disagree with him.

I have been using SOS Appliance Service repair for several years and most recently two days ago when the water dispenser on fridge stopped working. SOS Service was prompt ( Same Day Service ), the technician came on the same day with the part as usual. They are very honest, professional,and their prices are very fair. I highly recommend using them and I will continue using them and recommend them to my family & Friends. Thank you SOS!

I woke up on Saturday morning to find a puddle of water in front of my refrigerator. I looked up on Angie's List repair services that performed repairs on Saturdays and saw S.O.S. Appliance. There were not very many reviews but there were all good so I called. He was able to come between 12-3 PM, but actually called and showed up right at noon. He was done by 1 PM. He showed me the bad part and answered all of my questions.

The dishwasher had stopped drawing water. A technician from another company came and looked and told us that: (i) the valve was broken; (ii) there was nothing else wrong with the machine; (iii) in order to repair the valve the dishwasher had to be removed and to do that four of the large floor tiles needed to be broken up and removed. I would have accepted his diagnosis, except that I have never heard of a need to break up a tile floor in order to repaid a dishwasher, and contacted SOS Appliance Service for a second opinion. The SOS technician came the same day, and concluded that: (i) there was nothing wrong with the valve; instead, (ii) the pump needed to be replaced; and, of course (iii) there was no need to bust up the kitchen floor!. He was courteous, efficient, and quick. He ordered the part, came back just two days later, fixed the machine to perfection...and even subtracted from the bill the cost of the earlier visit. I have had plenty of experience over the years with repair persons of all kinds -- SOS is by far the best, most prompt, and with very reasonable pricing. I intend to use them for all appliance repairs from now on and recommend them strongly.

He talked me through figuring out what was wrong; encouraged me to just move the drainage pipe to the utility sink and PRESTO problem solved! Very helpful over the phone and no charge. I'll go back for sure!

Technician called and was patient with my schedule for the appointment. He arrived on time and immediately began. He was knowledgeable and gave multiple tips to improve the performance and life of my appliances. I was surprised how much lint was removed from the dryer. He did a professional job cleaning all of my appliances. I would use this service again. One note to other customers, his truck did not have any markings about the company he worked for.

All the work was done neatly and efficiently. Correctly diagnosed the problem with the icemaker and made the repair on the spot.

Initially, after I purchased the Big Deal on January 29, 2015, and gave three dates and times that I would be available for this service, the SOS Appliance Repair and Service LLC was not responsive at all. After three days, I got the e-mail from Angie's List asking if SOS had been in touch with me, and I responded that I had not heard from them. Then I got an email message from saying that they would call on February 10 in the afternoon, which was a time that I was not available. I called SOS to schedule the service for Thursday, February 12 between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. They did come today to provide the service. From his initial arrival, the technician who provided the service was surly and seemed annoyed. His first question to me was, "Where is it?" To which I responded, "Do you mean where is the kitchen or where is the laundry room?" He mumbled something unintelligible, and so I took him into the kitchen, and he began his work. Things went from bad to worse. He seemed unprepared to move the appliances and protect the flooring. In response to any question from me about what he was going to do, he replied in an angry manner and told me, " I know my job." I had to remind him that he had not done any work on the dishwasher, and after that reminder, he still did not complete the services on the dishwasher as advertised. When I finally spoke to him about his surly attitude, he said he didn't know what I meant. By then, I was totally ready for this service to end. Once he finished, I escorted him to the door, and he did apologize. He also called to apologize after he left, so I know that he was aware of how negative his remarks and his attitude had been. While I appreciated his apology, I would never have this company provide any service for me again. It was the worst "customer service" experience I have had since moving to this area over 20 years ago.

SOS was great with setting up a convenient time -- very flexible. Good recommendations on how to keep some of my older appliances in good working order.

Raouf was the technician who came to look at our refrigerator. The freezer wasn't working properly (not freezing) and made a horrible noise. After speaking with Raouf he knew the heating element was broken. He came to my house with the part and had it fixed in less than an hour. This is the second time Raouf has repaired and appliance for us. He is very knowledgable and professional!

Unfortunately, he was over 2 hours late. I was originally told an arrival time of 12 - 3 pm, and at 2:45 I called to get an estimate of where he was. At that point I was told he was running an hour late (good thing I called!). He actually arrived over 2 hours late, after 5 pm. The tune-up was fine...it was a lot more basic than I thought, and he was very professional and polite, which I appreciated. He then took a look at the dryer vent tube, and quoted me a price of $89 to replace it. He went to his car and got the replacement part. 15 minutes later he told me that he could not replace it as he was afraid the dryer would fall over (stackable unit). He told me that instead he repaired the tear in the foil vent tube. Somehow, this still cost me $89, even though the no replacement parts were used. Overall, it's a good company -- but punctuality was awful, and pricing is questionable.

Super fast response to the big deal purchase; received phone call to schedule appointment early Monday morning; appliance service technician was dispatched the same day and arrived early in the two hour schedule window quoted by the owner. Great advice from the service technician to all questions and offered tips to keep all appliances working. A+ organization.

Most of the appliance repair companies I called refused to work on my Samsung refrigerator/freezer. They felt that Samsung appliances are hard to repair and it is difficult to obtain parts. I totally agree. My refrigerator is less than 3 years old and has several issues. SOS agreed to work on my terrible appliance. Scheduling was easy. Technician Ralph arrived on time and diagnosed the problem (a bad control panel, and some bad sensors). He ordered the parts and returned a couple of days later once he received them. During his repair, he explained how the refrigerator worked and what the function was of each component he was replacing. Ralph was very knowledgeable and informative. Now my freezer actually freezes! If you unfortunately purchased a Samsung appliance and it is on the fritz, I recommend SOS Appliance Repair.

Great service, answered my questions and explained what I need to do to keep my large appliances in good shape. Will definitely use them again!

We called with the problem at 9:30 P.M. and they gave us a time slot for the next day. They arrived on time! Repairs were nice and fast. I don't know if price is good or not.

It went very well. The technician was very professional & did everything very well. I am very pleased with the service of the technician.

They came out the next day after I purchased the deal. They fixed my dryer, but the vent was still clogged so they came back to re-check and fix the dryer after I got the vents de-clogged. I would recommend them and hire them again. I was expecting additional fees because it needed a heat element and I was aware that the dryer wasn’t working prior to calling. The technician was very nice. They did everything I expected.

I called SOS on 12/11 and recd appt for next day, 12/12. Mr. Raouf arrived 3 hours early which pleased me. He diagnosed the problem and within one hour the dishwasher was fixed and running. Very professional, attentive to the work, not a lot of unnecessary discussion. I paid his requested price. Moments after he left, I remembered the online coupons for $50 discount that I forgot to present. Note to self....next time have the coupons along side the checkbook! (smile) Great job Raouf! They tested out all my appliances (I just bought the house, and I wanted to do a further check and ask some questions). Provide some suggestions on operation of appliances and made a minor repair to my dishwasher. Professional, courteous, punctual. I would definitely use for more serious repair jobs in the future.
