Description of Work: Advertised repair and check. Provider looked at two appliances in my home and said that the washer would need an estimate. Purchased a repair and still don't even have an estimate. I found another appliance repair service and paid for it. This deal is a bait and switch. Don't buy it. I should be refunded.

Description of Work: I had to contact them regarding my service scheduling. He was supposed to come between 3:30 to 6p. He was late to show up (came at 6:40p). He asked for $59.95 when I had already purchased a Big Deal for $139. He said that the initial inspection was not included, which it was. He said that a part was broken in the dishwasher. The warranty had expired after a year for the dishwasher. I was expecting a call from them regarding the part. I never received a call from them; I had to contact them today. They said it was going to be $245 for the part. They would have used the Big Deal for the labor, but I would have to pay for the part and estimate services. This is unreasonable; I could buy a new washer for that price. I want Angie's List to refund my money for the Big Deal since I am within my 30-day warranty.

Description of Work: I was visiting my daughter and had no idea who to call when the dryer stopped heating. I sent a message through Angie's List on Sunday and he called me the same day. He came the next morning and replaced the heating element in the dryer and cleaned the lint out. He was very courteous and professional. Also, there was a $50.00 coupon on Angie's list that he honored bringing the price |from $329.00 to $279.00. I highly recommend him.

Description of Work: He fixed our four year old Bosch dishwasher, quick and easy, he had the new valve on his truck (how often does that happen?) The next month our ten year old washer died, and needed a new circuit board which was a $200 part. No charge for replacing the thermostat which turned out not to be the problem.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal that included appliance cleanings for my refrigerator coils, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and dryer. The technician was on time, courteous, and completed the work as advertised.

Description of Work: Repaired gas oven; needed ignition apparatus; SOS responded quickly, arrived on time, advised me when they were coming, had the needed part and did the work quickly. A very successful experience.

Description of Work: Replaced dryer heating element. Tech was clearly very experienced--he swiftly id'd the problem and fixed it in under 30 mins. Price was very reasonable; I'd recommend and would use again.

Description of Work: Very responsive to my initial call and to schedule a visit to repair a Samsung refrigerator for our tenants. The part took longer than expected and we had to ring them to find out why but, otherwise, they were responsive. The tenants confirmed they were professional, informative and courteous so we would use them again.

Description of Work: It was an Angie's list deal for appliance tune-up. All the appliances checked out ok and the technician was very good.

Description of Work: Angie special for tuneup and cleaning of appliances. Took apart inside of diswasher to clean underneath and in the conduits. Took apart front of dryer to remove all lint underneath and in the ducts. Also, cleaned under refrigerator. Quick check of other appliances, but since newer no issues. Spent about 2 hours total. Only minor issue was showing up late after 9-12 window, but the work was thorough.

Description of Work: Purchased $99 Angie's Deal for cleaning/tune-ups of 4 appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, dryer) and garbage disposal inspection. When scheduling, I informed Owner Raouf Sliti the reason I bought the deal was because dishwasher was not draining completely. Deal Description stated that "dishwasher tune-up includes the following services: . . . Cleaning out the food catch and drain line; running cycle of commercial cleaning agent through machine . . . if necessary." Beginning with examining dishwasher, he said it would cost $125 additional to clear drain line . I said the deal said it was covered, so why additional cost. He attempted to explain, but that only created more confusion - needing it taken care of, I agreed to the additional $125. Later, he showed me debris from discharge hose into disposal (which I still presume is considered the "drain line"). When I inquired about not running a commercial cleaning agent, he said, just use vinegar once monthly. He did complete cleaning of the other appliances and was very nice. The receipt provided indicated (among other services performed)that he "checked dishwasher found pump not draining; fixed pump with additional charges". I would use them again, but would seek more specificity regarding additional charges.

Description of Work: The company never showed up. I spoke them twice -- once to make the appointment and a second time to confirm it (less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment). They never showed up nor did they call to alert me to the fact that they would not be coming.
