I asked them to troubleshoot why my kitchen lights on a separate circuit would cause my bedroom circiuit to trip when a loads were placed on both circuits - only one would trip. Additionall, only one o the two pendant lights would work at once - not both. taking both bulbs out - if I install the working bulb in either pendant - the pendant would work - individually - but not both at the same time. The electrician did not do much in the way of troubleshooting - his only thought was that I should replace my pendant light fixtures. Again, not much analysis/troubleshooting - and worse yet - I still an not exactly sure why one light would trip another circuit?

They were efficient, on time, offered us another deal if we still wanted to work with them and did what we needed, even though we needed additional work. They did all the work for the $99. Though the original gentleman that came out didn't let us know, the manager fixed did the issue.

Well, it was a simple problem that was solved quickly

Long story short, after he installed the dimmer switch, another light in my hallway stopped working and I stupidly let the electrician continue working after the first 15 minute increment, even thought it was very apparent he didn't have the skills to research and correct the problem. Two hours later, at something like $29 every quarter hour, I sent him on his way, poorer and without working lights in part of the hall.

I did not end up using this company because of their extra fees for travel because they were not local.

Excellent install on two light fixtures. Said he couldn't fix the switch plate because of the wood wall. Then said he could drop it down and cover the old spot with a blank. Will leave that for a second opinion, but the light fixtures look great.

The job went very well. The technician was knowledgeable, courteous and very professional. Once he arrived, the work was completed in just under an hour. The work was done so well and efficiently, my wife wanted additional electrical work done on the spot. We will definitely use Murphy's Family Electric for our future electrical needs.

One ceiling fan was installed successfully. The other one that I wanted to replace, the technician was able to fix instead, so I didn't need to change it out, so instead I paid for his time. Really great person and was looking out for me. Will call again.

Installer arrived on time. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He listened carefully to our issue and then went about the work. Great experience, I just wish it was slightly cheaper but I suppose you pay for quality.

The service time frame was between 12-3. The electrician (ERIC) called me around 1145am and said he will be there in 30 minutes. Upon arrival and discussing the issue, he went straight to work. He was excellent. Very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. I loved his professionalism and his overall demeanor. I loved the fact that he put on shoe booties every time he came in and out the house. He quickly found out the problem and fixed it. I am very happy with the service and definitely would use the company again as long as Eric is working there:)

Aside from the rep being monstrously late, I was very satisfied?this was not an easy job, and the rep was quick to solve problems with the install as they came up. Nicely done!

Used the Angie List deal to have two new electrical outlets and six dimmers installed. The technician arrived on time and was able to install the outlets quickly and ensured that all debris was cleaned up afterwards. As the time per the deal ran over we had to pay extra for the time overage, but the technician was able to get the all the work done and we have had no problems with the new outlets or dimmers.

The technician who did our work was punctual, efficient, and extemely competent. We'll certainly be using Murphy's for any future electrical work.

Ryan rrived on time, performed the requested work, and cleaned up afterward. Completely professional. I think the price may have been a bit on the high side, but was reasonable. The installation took one hour and 15 minutes, so we had to pay for the additional 45 minutes, which came to $105 (Big Deal included 30 minutes of labor). So, $204 total to install two vanity lights. But, overall, we are quite please with the work performed. We would use them again because they did a good job and were very responsive.

Entire job was perfectly done by very friendly electrician in highly professional manner. This was an Amazon Local deal, which was absolutely a good value.

It was fine. There was an additional fee for that but it was because the fix that they came out to address just took a long time. There was no issue. The big deal was $99. We ended up paying an additional $200. This was the first time I used them. It was a good experience. I would use them again.

Geremy Boehn was the technician assigned to my home. He called about twenty minutes before arriving to let me know he will arrive at my home within twenty minutes. He did arrive on time. He introduced himself. Then he explained to me the policy of Murphy Family Electric deal I had purchased. Then he asked about the jobs I wanted completed. I explained to him what I wanted done, showed him where the lights were to be installed, gave him the new lights which I had purchased myself. Mr. Boehn proceeded to install the lights. Mr. Boehn was courgeous and professional. He was very knowledgeable about the his profession. He completed the job in a timely manner and made sure I know how to operate the lights. Mr. Boehn did an outstanding job.

Really top-notch, customer-oriented, friendly and professional electrician. Easily call again when we have electrical problems. Not sure we could find as thorough and responsive electrician as we found with Dan. He was Great. AND, both my husband and I agree -- that says a lot!

Dan Gonzalez was great !! he called ahead of time to let me know when he was coming. He explained what needed doing and showed me what he was doing and why. He was punctual, professional and extremely courteous -- a great guy. If i need additional electrical work I will definitely call Murphy and will ask specifically for Dan.

To be clear, everyone was well intentioned, worked hard, and was kind. However, I hired them for their experience. Instead I was told to replace an expensive ceiling fan, (went out and bought something quick) but then he still couldn't get it to work. I had to have another guy come later in the week and discovered it was the electricity that was the problem and not the fan--but the fan was already thrown out. So, unnecessary purchase of replacement, unnecessary extra trip to home depot, two days of having to be home when it should have taken one. Also had them do kitchen lightening which looks bad because again -- the guy (who was super nice, worked hard, and well intentioned) I guess didn't have experience with these kinds of lights. I get that they aren't kitchen designers, but I hired them so they might be able to say -- yes this light should be 2 feet from the wall to avoid shadows and you'll need 4 instead of 2 to give you enough coverage. I had bought 6 lights and was planning to use as many as was needed. We ended up putting two--which wasn't enough and they cast all theses shadows and had to have another guy come back and fix it. Also - when I called the office they said it would be cheaper to put in lights where you already have lights vs where no lights have ever been. I made decisions on that call and then was later told it was the same price. Not mad to pay what I owe -- just didn't think that what was told to me. Ended up paying $800 and now have an inferior light in a bedroom instead of a nice ceiling fan, and kitchen lighting that could have been so much better with a little advice. To be clear, everyone was nice and did their best-- just didn't turn out how I planned and feels like I paid too much for it.

The technician that came and did work for me was very pleasant, analyzed my house very well, and was good at anticipating customer's requests. As a professional, he anticipated problems with what I had requested. I appreciated that. My only quibble is that the hole in the drywall was not cut precisely for the new switch plate.

The work was fine. There were additional charges. They were quick. He had a personal family emergency so he asked if he could leave without cleaning which I agreed to. The price was comparative.

He was punctual and called before he got to my house. Very professional, explained what he was doing as he did it.

It was great. They were unable to come right away. They had a big challenge because my whole breaker had to be replaced. They did everything really well and professionally. They had trouble with coordinating the people. They dealt with the situation very well.
