Great work, great price. They were quick to respond and I was able to schedule an appointment to have the work done within a few days. The electrician did need to run to the hardware store for a new drill bit, but otherwise, everything was installed at the appointment and he cleaned everything up. We'll be calling again in the Spring when we need some more work done. Thanks!

Great job and quick installing a new sub panel and 220 circuit in the garage. I wanted a 220v to charge my electric car faster. They quickly scheduled and honored my Angie's List coupon/discount. After some consultation I decided to just make it a sub panel and run a new 110V outlet off of it as well for the power tools. It took less than an hour.

Everything went well. I was texted the night before to remind me of my appointment. I received a call, about an hour prior o Cortez's arrival. This was all within the 10am-12pm window. Cortez was very professional, and did not find any particular issue with my dedicated line and provided advice on a part for me to get and possibly install. He was open to installing the light switch, because work was not on the original plan and did the removal and install of the light switch in a timely manner. I would recommend and use Murphy Family Services again. The scheduling service was perfect.

The electrician showed up and went right to work. ran new cables and installed 4 outlets on the deck and placed the wiring in cable supporters. We tested and verified every outlet was working and was neatly in stalled. Excellent job.

Erik called and showed up 30 minutes early. Turns out photocell in driveway light was kaput. So, while Erik was replacing the porch light, I drove to Home Depot to get new light, which Erik installed efficiently. The new porch light looks great. All in all I was extremely impressed with the company, Erik, and work done. We will be using them for a slightly larger project inside the house.

We're first time customers and had a very good experience. Murphy's showed up on time and performed the work we needed. Very pleased. We will continue to use Murphy's for any future electrical work needed.

The work that was done, the quality of that work done, the interactions with the workers/owner, the communications, the professionalism, cleanup, promptness, etc was the best that I have ever experienced with anyone who has ever done any work of this nature for me (and I have been a home owner for 40 years). I did not rate them on "price" because I never got another bid from another company. But let's put it in perspective. I priced out what it would cost me to rent all the tools, sand paper, stain and polyurethane that I would have needed to do the work myself. I even got some bids from handymen who would use these rented tools to do the work (keeping in mind that the job would have dragged out much, much longer and the tools rented from Home Depot are not of the same quality as what Murphy used). The price came out to be almost the same as what Murphy Family Services charged.

Electrician was on time, did good work, and cleaned up afterwards. What more could you ask for?

Installation of ceiling fan went well. The handyman definitely knew what he was doing.

Called the phone number and was asked to log into their scheduling website. I was able to easily schedule for a time and day. I took a day of vacation in order to have the work done. I received a confirmation email immediately confirming the day and time and a reminder email the day before confirming the day and time. I also received a confirmation text and a reminder text approximately one hour before the scheduled appointment. The appointment window was 0800-0830. I retread the email and saw it is approximate times so I called the company and I was initially told to reschedule that they use a scheduling service "Square Appointments" which sometimes double books. This was not an acceptable option and I sent an email and requested a phone call The phone call accepted the error in scheduling caused by their service provider, Square Appointments, and sent an Electrician. The electrician (Cortez) arrived after 1pm and worked efficiently to install the electrical outlet in. The neatest, cleanest and most efficient manner. I was very pleased with his professionalism and pleased with the results. He left the area neat. Due to his professionalism and the Company resolving the glitch I got estimates for additional work that we intend to have done. I would hire them again, but I recommend they reevaluate using their current scheduling service.

Re-wiring and the fan box were not required, but no refund was offered. Our appointment (which can be scheduled online and is extremely user friendly) was for a 2 hour window at 10:00. At 11:15, we received a call letting us know they were running late that day and we agreed to push back the appointment to around 2:00. So many businesses do not take the time to make that call, so that does not go unnoticed in my book. My only complaint is that no refund was offered for the additional labor and materials that were not needed. One concern is that the fan is putting off a smell, maybe of burning plastic, and the old wiring (which the electrician noted was original - home was built in 1918) was not replaced. The fan seems to overheat and is hot to the touch. I will be calling back about that issue and will update the review.

The job was done within 20 minutes, a loose wire had caused that the outlets didn't work. I got charged 28USD more that were never specified in the deal. Plus when I reviewed the charge for the $99 deal, Angie's list had charged me $297!!

I need to hire another electrician because he didn't do all the work I wanted.

the tech milled around for about 45 minute with half the time he was outside of my home by his truck. The tech at the end of the 45 minutes reported he could not locate the problem. he told me that he would have to break into my wall and wire my outlets to a near by light switch. He also stated he could do this for $395 plus parts. He also stated that this work would take 3 to 4 to complete and I would be responsible for the repairs to the drywall. This repair did not sound correct. outlets should not be put on the line with the switch. the tech took my payment for doing absolutely nothing. i was not left with a receipt after payment. I called this company minutes after the tech departed. I was informed that the tech would be contacted and they would get back to me. Two weeks later, three text and two additional phones this company has not responded

No issues; work performed -professional, punctual

Not good. As a first time homeowner, first time user of Angie's list, and first time potential customer of Murphy's Family Electric, I found myself extremely frustrated being left to sit and wait for 1 hour and 15 min for the electrician (Erik) to show up. No call, no msg. I had received several text confirmations earlier confirming my 8am appt and noting that an electrician would call me when he was on his way. I was given an appointment slot of 8am with a window of 30 min to 8:30. By 8:45 I left another VM to the main ## at Murphy's (which no one ever answers, just a recording). Finally at 9:15 I left to go to work for which I was already 75 min late as I had scheduled time off to get the electrical work done. At 9:50 I get a call from Murphy's electrician, Erik, asking about the job and saying he would get to me around 10:30. He was actually very nice, pleasant and apologetic for the delay explaining that there must be some issue with the scheduling service. Nonetheless, as someone who was keen to employ a local electrician, I am extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism of Murphy's scheduling service. I think Sean needs to revisit his online system and think about the impact it has on his customers who also have busy lives and shouldn't just be left waiting for an hour and 15 min.

Erik was extremely professional and took care of everything as quickly as possible. He also advised me on things he would not be able to fix because they were not really electrical issues, instead of spending time trying (and charging me for it!). Sean was also very responsive in setting up the initial appointment and giving me a sense of how long things might take. I will definitely turn to Murphys again for help.

Contractor was prompt, paid attention to detail, and explained issues to me.

It was super easy to schedule, Erik was on time, very professional and courteous, explained everything he was doing, and got our problem fixed! I am very pleased with how things worked out, and will definitely be using Erik again if we need an electrician.
