First, the service people came to my house about 30 minutes later than the scheduled time point. They did call to alert being late. Second, my gutter has cover mesh. Instead of removing the cover and cleaning inside the gutter. The persons just use a blower to blow the dirt down to the down sprout pipe. I confronted them and asked them if that is problematic, and they told me it is not, and is actually a better way than removing the cover and cleaning by hand. I trusted them. Two months after that, came a huge storm, and there is a more serious problem than usual with water spilling out of several points of the gutter. Then we found out that the down sprout pipes are completely blocked at several curving and joint points by the mud, obviously from the blowing by them, as those down sprout pipes were fine before the gutter cleaning job. I had to climb up the house to remove the pipes and clean the pipes myself to resolve the problem. The price for the gutter service provided from this company is actually on the higher end compared to many other providers. I chose it because they had a good rating from the Comsumer Checkbook. It turned out to be a huge disappointment. I will never use this company again. UPDATE: The company has contacted me after my review being posted and provided a refund and promised further service to help eliminate the problem. Hence, despite the bad experience I had for the first service I got, I'd still rate the professionalism of the company highly and would give it a try with this company again.

This is a revised review. After I posted my initial review where I detailed why I was unhappy with the service, I received a call the next day from the owner. He was very professional and courteous. He wanted to know what he could do to improve my experience. The technician that wento our house was terminated, I was reimbursed for my expenses. I also received the option to have someone else come and do the work. I was very impressed by the owner and his desire to make sure that I had a positive experience with his company.

The company showed up on time and did a great job cleaning and inspecting the gutters. Repairs were not necessary.

Excellent. A top-notch organization with prompt arrivals, courteous and thorough workers and follow-up by management. If there were an A+ I would give it.

Wasn't home for the service, but had a heavy rainfall shortly after. Noticed there was no longer rain pouring out of the gutters where it normally drains. I was very satisfied with the work.

Came, worked, and left. Had suggestions for further work.

Took a long time to be able to schedule the service. There were several reschedules... I wasn't there when work was completed. They did what they were supposed to do.

Great! Inspection showed that the gutters on the back of the house needed to be re-pitched and that one segment needed to be reattached. Work to make the repairs was scheduled and done at a reasonable cost.

Update: I upgraded several ratings from my original assessment. Metro gutter called me after reading my comments and wanted to make things right so they refunded my service fee. As a result I upgraded several ratings: 1. I increased the overall experience rating because they clearly wanted to work with me and make sure I was satisfied and the job was done correctly when completed. 2. I increased the price rating but I am still basing the rating on their normal pricing rather than what I paid. Even with the extra charge for the gutter screens, the quoted price was still a bit lower than other estimates I received at the time and they dealt with the extra charge for the screens and more. The price listed above includes the original coupon I purchased and the additional fee of $75 for gutter screens that they quoted me, not what I actually paid after we worked things out. 3. I increased the responsiveness rating because they proactively sought me out based on my original comments to make things right. 4. I left quality as a B (good) because they made sure the job was done correctly but it took a call from me and an extra trip to do it. 5. I also left punctuality as a B (good) because most of the work was done when I was not home and it was a big window (something similar to "sometime Tuesday" if I remember correctly) vs. an actual time, multi-hour time range, or even morning/afternoon. I understand why that kind of scheduling may be necessary for this type of work but it doesn't really lend itself to a high punctuality rating. --------------- Purchased gutter cleaning coupon - it didn't say anything about a surcharge for gutters with screens but there was one. The first person I talked to when scheduling the service said the extra charge was $50 then when they showed up they wanted $75 so my wife turned them away until I could call them back after I came home from work. The person I talked to verified the extra charge should be $75 which was still a bit lower than other estimates I had so I rescheduled the work and it was done when we were not home. After the work was completed I noticed that not all the covers were properly re-installed so I called them back but had to leave a message. I did not get a return phone call for well over a week (actually never got one). Then I looked up their email address and sent an email complaint and then I received a return call the next morning and we were able to schedule a return visit on the day I wanted it. They came out on the day arranged to ensure all the covers were reinstalled correctly. I was there when they returned to fix the covers and the individuals were very professional. If you need to contact them, from my experience email works better than a phone call. Once contact is made they were cooperative and willing to work with me to resolve the issue.

It was very difficult to schedule; they failed to show up on two occasions and the person who took my calls and scheduled the appointments was incredibly rude. The work was eventually done, weeks later than promised, and they didn't do a particularly good job. I would not use the company again.

They phoned when on way. They arrived and starting working then phoned to tell me that it would be $75 more because I had screens on the gutters. (did not see that in the small print on coupon) I agreed as they had already arrived and started. They completed quickly and cleaned up. I spent more than expected but they did a good job.

I ended up not using the coupon because I was out of their service area. However, they were pleasant to deal with over the phone.

Arrived on time, did work promptly, left without letting me know it was done. Debris was bagged properly. Not sure if inspection happened or not, did not get a chance to ask any questions. Overall adequate but disappointing.

They do a very good job. get gutters cleaner than some cheaper companies.

One man came. He used a ladder and cleaned all the gutters of my house. He left. My gutters were nice and clean.

It was a pleasant experience and they were very polite. They are unavailable to do the service until January, so I have contacted Angie’s List and requested a refund for my purchase.

They did not notify me of when they were coming and I did not see them do the work. I was at home all day. They left the bill in the door. Recently, I had to have rotten wood removed from the roof. So the roof inspection was a failure. The I also had to have a gutter downspout fixed by someone else. Had I met them, I would have pointed it out. So that was also a failure.

Expect to wait a rather long time for this service. They don’t have availability until a month from now. I have contacted Angie’s List for a refund for my purchase.

They came out the same week I called them. All I had to do was schedule and then mail the certificate in after they came and did the work, they left me a bill and an envelope. They did a great job and it was very convenient. I plan on using these guys again in the future,
