This is an updated review of this company. Today the owner himself called to offer an explanation of some issues I had raised in my original review. I was satisfied with his explanation. Moreover, I was impressed that he took customer service seriously enough to follow up my first review with a phone call, offer an explanation and to suggest a resolution.

The service was performed as expected. The owner came to personally perform and supervise the work. It was done very quickly, and they left everything cleaned and bagged for my trash service to pick up.

This was a Big Deal offer. Called in late November or early December to schedule a gutter cleaning and inspection. I had this company clean my gutters in the spring and I was very satisfied. They scheduled the service for the week of January 7th. I did not have to be home for the service. They came on January 11th. They totally cleaned the gutters - we had lots of leaves sticking out of our front gutters. All of the debris was cleaned up in the yard, bagged, and they took it away. Since I requested the inspection also they recommended that I put screens on our gutters and gave me an approximate price for the work. I will definitely call them again.

The explained what thery were doing and what we needed to do. They also quoted a price for them to complete the job. As stated before I will be contacting them again to comple it.

We called to make an appointment with Metro Gutter and were able to take advantage of a Big Deal offer for a reasonable price. They gave an approximate date for the service, and the technician called us that day to let us know he would be coming. Our gutters were very clogged. The two technicians worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up everything before leaving. We were happy with the good work.

Metrogutter had cleaned our gutters well at the end of November. I had wanted to get it sooner but they suggested I wait until more leaves had fallen and they were right. We also had them inspect and replace part of our roof and they finished the job quickly and the were very nice and professional.

They were very thorough and professional, but they quoted an additonal cost because my gutters are covered. I decided to have the Big Deal refunded because of the additional costs, but when they were there also provided an estimate to repair some soffitt and siding, which was about half of a previous estimate I'd gotten.

The two men worked on the front and back of the house using ladders to reach the gutters. They worked fast and consistenly. I asked about reattaching the gutter covers, several that had come loose. They mentioned that they could not reattach the gutter covers after cleaning out the gutters, because they were bent from the build up of debris. It appeared that they were correct. They called about 5 minutes before arriving to let me know they would be coming. They worked fast and efficiently.

They arrive, clean the gutters, blow off my decks and porches and bag the leaves and debris. Always very professional and very nice people. We are happy that they have been in business so long. When they started with us, the owner cleaned our gutters himself.

They did a good job, and the price was reasonable.

We had a bad experience initially, as the office staff was Rude during the Appointment set up, but than the owner spoke to us and came and finished the Job in a professional manner and we are pretty happy with the Job.

The work was completed to my satisfaction. I would use this provider again. I would like to mention, however, that there was an an additional charge because we had gutter caps. This was not mentioned in the Deals and Buy Now web page, but was explained to me when I called.

At first I was confused about how my Angie's coupon worked, but after a couple of calls to the Metro Gutter office, the receptionist helped me understand. The Metro Gutter receptionist worked with me to set up an appointment for an estimate, computed the additional charges needed for the work, and set the appointment for the work within a few days as long as I dropped off the payment over the weekend. This worked well for me and I was grateful when the serviceman arrived with a quality product. The service man made every effort to install the gutter so that it matched the other side of the house even though he had to adjust the pitch of the gutter to insure proper drainage. The gutter looks good and works well. We also had an estimate to replace gutters on another part of the house which was reasonable. We have not had that work done yet.

All work was completed as promised, although it took longer than expected.

When I called to set up an appointment all the receptionist could do was let me know what week they would show up. According to her there was no way to let me know which specific day. We wanted to be there when the work was done, because our roof is a little tricky with asbestos cement roof tiles. It turned out we we not home when they did the job and they weren't careful enough and cracked a couple roof tiles. That meant we needed to find someone to do repairs. In order to use the discount I'd already paid for , they wanted me to mail them a printed copy of the recept from Angie's list. since this cleaning, we've found other companies at a much lower price that are easier to do business with. All in all it was not a very good experience.

I bought a gutter cleaning from MetroGutter via Groupon. In the third week of November, the leaves had finished falling the trees and my gutters were clogged, so I called to schedule gutter cleaning. I was told that Metro Gutter would come by my house at some point the week before Christmas, which was the earliest available time slot. This wasn't great as it meant having clogged gutters for a month but I was already locked into using them because I had already paid for it via Groupon. Later, on Dec. 29, I realized that they had never come. I emailed them that evening and they replied on Dec. 30 that they would be out the next day. They then came and cleaned the gutters without incident. UPDATE: The owner, Kent Baake, called me personally after reading this review and apologized, and offered a free gutter cleaning in the future if I want as compensation. It appears he takes very seriously customer service and his company's reputation, far more than most firms in any industry, which is a strong point in his favor. In light of this additional experience and display of his responsiveness, I am upgrading the overall ratings, including changing it to that I would use this company again in the future after all.

I specifically requested to be called on the morning of service but was not. Therefore, I was not home when they performed the work and have no way of verifying the work was completed. All they did was leave an invoice with "CALL MORNING OF SERVICE" on the service request.

I bought a voucher from one of the local internet deal sites for gutter cleaning services. I called in early November to find out how far in advance do I need to schedule and then proceeded to schedule something for the end of November. Unfortunately, they ended up coming out immediately prior to all the leaves falling. I promptly called them back when I came home and discovered that they came out several weeks earlier than they were supposed to and they graciously offered to come out one more time to finish the job later this year (although it took a few phone calls back and forth due to my use of the voucher since it seems like they had a change in office personnel). They haven't come out the final time yet but I'm assuming they will finish the job since they seem pretty honest and fair over the phone.

It was a good experience and we would use them again.

I purchased a coupon from Angie's list for the initial part of the work. After the initial estimate, I realized that the work required was more extensive than simply replacing the gutters since the fascia board was rotted and the gutters were detached from the house. The work was done on one segment of the house and I was very satisfied with the entire process. The workers were very professional and did an excellent and thorough job. Everything was cleaned up at the end. After that , I had Metro Gutter do the same work on two other sections of the house that were in the same condition. Again, I was very satisfied with the work and the entire process.

Great service, they were able to do the work while we were away, the customer service was excellent and the gutters functioned properly once the works was completed.

The sales guy was very professional. They came over on time, provided a reasonable quote, and once we agreed on the work and price, was able to schedule the work for the next week. Before the installation, they came by and dropped off the brand new gutter and down spout. It was a single-piece gutter without any seams. They color matched the gutter to the existing gutter color. The following work day, they installed the new gutters. The gutter has been working great ever since. I'm very glad I got this taken care of.

I bought the Big Deal and called them to schedule the work. The person I spoke to was very helpful and courteous. It was scheduled with no problems. The guys showed up on time and cleaned the gutters. They also checked to see if there were any problems. They recommended one of the gutters be repitched. I was very satisfied with the service and wouldn't hesitate to contact them again.

The vendor was really backed up when I called but we agreed on a date (about 5 weeks from when I called) and the job was done during the promised week. I did not have to stay home for the work. I would have hesitated cleaning the gutters myself because the back of the house is almost 3 stories from the ground below. Metrogutter cleaned all the gutters (as best I could tell) and placed the leaves in bags on the driveway. In all, a satisfactory experience. I will gladly call them again next year.

First, the service people came to my house about 30 minutes later than the scheduled time point. They did call to alert being late. Second, my gutter has cover mesh. Instead of removing the cover and cleaning inside the gutter. The persons just use a blower to blow the dirt down to the down sprout pipe. I confronted them and asked them if that is problematic, and they told me it is not, and is actually a better way than removing the cover and cleaning by hand. I trusted them. Two months after that, came a huge storm, and there is a more serious problem than usual with water spilling out of several points of the gutter. Then we found out that the down sprout pipes are completely blocked at several curving and joint points by the mud, obviously from the blowing by them, as those down sprout pipes were fine before the gutter cleaning job. I had to climb up the house to remove the pipes and clean the pipes myself to resolve the problem. The price for the gutter service provided from this company is actually on the higher end compared to many other providers. I chose it because they had a good rating from the Comsumer Checkbook. It turned out to be a huge disappointment. I will never use this company again. UPDATE: The company has contacted me after my review being posted and provided a refund and promised further service to help eliminate the problem. Hence, despite the bad experience I had for the first service I got, I'd still rate the professionalism of the company highly and would give it a try with this company again.
