Hired them again! First the floor upstairs and they did so good we hired them for the flooring in our kitchen. Now we hired them to replace our countertops with Quartzite. It looks amazing! They had to remove our old countertop and they were able to do it without hurting the tile backsplash even though it was on multiple sides of the counter. I can't say what a relief that was. Our home is a totally different place. It was so scary to make so many changes but they put a team together to help. Our Team: Paul (sales) was so fast to find us exactly what we wanted. Tara (Project Manager) coordinating a lot go make it happen! Sam / Salvador (installers) genius as I said and flawless work! Would hire these guys easily on our next project.

This company must have made some changes since those reviews. These guys have redone 2/3 of our house now. We had them do our upstairs first a month ago because it was scary to do anything in our kitchen. They did a fantastic job. So we redid the ENTIRE main floor. Kitchen, baths, living, all of it. Tear out took longer than planned, but they finished the floor on schedule despite the delay in tear out. You coordinate with a team: Sales Person (we had Paul and he is awesome from beginning to end) Project coordinator who is emailing updates and plans. Our was Tara and she has been great to call and coordinate when schedules are being figured out. Tear Out Team: I guess only if you hire them for this. We did. It was pretty good, not great. Like I said, slow, but didn't impact final job timing. Install Team: Our was Steven and Skyler and they are the best installers I've seen. So fast, so precise. Eliminated and need for quarter round trim because of how perfect they cut the edges around our stairs. This is the most important team of the group and these two are rockstars.

This company has no integrity the owner informed me "he couldn’t keep tabs on all the jobs his company does” We hired them in December of 2020 to replace less than 300 square feet of wood flooring in our basement that was damaged. They sent out 3 different people to get a wood sample to match the wood and took the wrong sample twice even after specific instructions on where to get the sample from. They kept telling us they couldn't get the wood in and our job was delayed until May of 2021 we asked them about the Demo of the old wood and they chose to wait until they could do the install which left the underlayment in wet conditions requiring us to replace the underlayment when if they had done the demo when asked it could have been dried and saved this increased the cost of our job by $900 which they were told we would submit that to the insurance for payment yet the owner decided to charge our card which they had on file from when we paid the initial down payment for the Job. We had to fight to get this refunded. They started the install in May and didn't have enough wood to finish the job so had to come back June 1st to finish the job which they now claim is complete however they severely damaged our baseboards lost other pieces of baseboard their contract says the owner is responsible to touch up paint and caulk baseboards at the completion of the job but they take no responsibility for huge chunks of baseboard missing and complete missing pieces they also left a sheet and 3/4 of wood underlayment in our garage that they over bought and didn't need but charged me for they have generously offered to come pick it up next week but will not credit the cost of it back to us. They left a huge box of trash in our driveway and empty cans and candy wrappers in our windowsills and on the shelves in our basement that we had to clean up. I challenge the owner of the company to come to my house to see the job that was done and review the pictures of the mess they left and if he can say that would be acceptable in his home then I will remove this review. I have very little faith that he will even give this review a second thought as he cant “keep tabs” on every job his company does. This job has been a nightmare and they have been impossible to work with and care very little about their customers please do not do business with them.

Horrible communication, they don't start when they say they will, and don't respond or refund for work that wasn't completed. Once they have your money, they don't really care. They redid our kitchen floor a few years ago and were happy with the service at that time, so we hired them to repaint the bathroom, including the built-in cabinet. They were supposed to start at 9am on 11/23 and had received multiple texts and emails confirming this. I took the day off to make sure everything was ready to start that day. By noon, when we hadn't heard anything, we made multiple calls and sent several texts trying to find out what was going on and when they would show up to start working. We finally got a text saying they would start the next day, 11/24. No explanation and no apology for wasting an entire day, even after we send additional emails letting them know we were not happy with the service we were getting. Because of the delay, the bathroom wasn't done before Thanksgiving and it wasn't really usable until they were done and everything was dry by the following Saturday. This house only has one bathroom, so was quite the inconvenience. The two guys (sub-contractors) that actually came in and did the work were polite and professional, and we have no problems with them. When we asked why the cabinet wasn't painted, they said it wasn't in the work order they received, even though it was on the invoice that I was billed and charged for. They even pulled out their phones to double check and offered to show us the work order. Since the cabinet wasn't painted, we contacted the company to let them know and get a refund. I have sent multiple emails and texts and have gotten no response other than an automated text asking how the project was coming along. I have had to file a charge back for the work that wasn't completed and I am now leaving negative reviews to hopefully prevent anyone else from being ripped off by this company. I have several more rooms in the house that will be redone in the next few months and we will certainly NOT be using this company!

Do not use this company. They charged my credit card for $6,800 without my authorization. I never received any product. It has now been almost 5 months and they still have not issued me a refund. DO NOT give them your credit card info. DO NOT use them.

First of all don't do business with them unless you have a credit card company willing to help you hold them accountable for their work. A three day job took three weeks. They never called me back until I got the credit card company to hold the funds. They trashed my carpets during the project. They broke one of my toilets. It's been a month since the project was finished and I'm still cleaning grout off of baseboards and door jams.

After agreeing upon a service date, we made arrangements to be out of the house for 5 days during the flooring work. 2 weeks before the agreed upon date, Utah Flooring & Design notified me that they were coming on a different date. I explained the situation and they told me that there was nothing they could do. After a week of unresponsiveness from Utah Flooring, I accepted the new date. After they completed the work, they charged my credit card an extra $770. They did this without speaking with me or notifying me. It was $770 more than the agreed upon amount, and no changes had been made to the original scope of work. They refused to refund this amount, said it was my fault for choosing a difficult finish, and claimed they could charge me without notifying me (even if no changes were made to the original bid). If I had known they would charge this increased amount, I would have gone with a bid from another flooring company.

Received multiple bids and this companies price was in my opinion was exorbitant. Got a great gob at less than half their bid

Bathroom tile was installed. Installer gave good advice / insights into what direction / style would look best for the shape of the room. Tile looks great and was an economical update for our bathroom. (Thank you, Jesse! You were great!)

Everyone I worked with at Utah Flooring and Design was so helpful, Ryan Oler, Tara Darger, the man who took out the old carpet, and especially the man who installed the new. You all were so helpful and friendly and I am so pleased with my new carpet. I had buyers remorse so bad but with all your help I soon got over that. Thanks to you all. Phyllis S

I'm quite particular when I have a contractor come into my house to do work whatever the project is. As mentioned above, they removed a banister and laid some laminate and did a beautiful job. I worried that when they removed the banister from where it was attached to the wall, that it would mess up the wall area. There was hardly even a mark after they had removed it, and they did a nice job when they laid the laminate. They were so quick and did such a fantastic job in removing the banister. They were good about cleaning up after themselves, and I appreciated them wearing the the slip on covers with their shoes.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! I will briefly sum up the nightmare that was having our floors done. A 1 week job took 2 and a half weeks. And they charged us for the finished job long before it was done. We spent 2 Saturdays (in December, when we had plenty of other things that needed doing) waiting at home for flooring workers that never showed up, never called or texted. Spent those same 2 Saturdays calling and texting every single number we had for anyone affiliated with the company. The one person I DID manage to contact (the Business Manager) scoffed when I told him I wanted to talk to the Project Manager, because they don't work on Saturdays. Why schedule workers on Saturday if the Project Manager won't be available? They had the tile guy's assistant lay our bathroom tile, and he apparently didn't know what he was doing and it looked awful. So we had them tear it up. Communication between groups in the company is TERRIBLE. The demolition guys tore up more than the tile guys expected, so they had to go buy more supplies. Tile guys were never told that we had been promised they'd be over on Saturday. They kept promising us dates and times and not delivering or even letting us know that they couldn't. After the 2nd weekend with no workers and no communication, we were furious. But even Monday we couldn't get a hold of anyone! Finally my husband went to their physical location. And then the Project Manager lied to his face, saying he had been texting me far more often and recently than he had. He also threw the blame back on us ("Maybe you haven't been calling the right number?") Our nightmare is finally over and we're putting our house back together. Their workers left a huge mess behind. We've got dinged walls, dirty hand prints, tile pieces everywhere (why did they shove some in the cupboard under my sink?), and our bedroom carpet is completely ruined with grout smears and footprints.

Bad company to do business with because I tried to cancel early on and told I would owe a huge fee for commission. They are NOT a tile company but just organize a few who set tile to do the work at a huge markup. Double what you should pay. So I'm all done with Angie's List and Utah Flooring and Design, Huge mistake to hire both. I was going to use Angie's for other contractors but did not because of this experience.

Utah Flooring and Design was awesome to work with! We received our quote the day after we called them and they started our project the following week. They were fast, efficient and fairly priced. Our project was done in 1 day and it looks terrific!! We highly recommend them!!

Mason was prompt, curteous and professional. He did a great job with what I needed. I do think it was very expensive considering he was only here for 15 minutes at the very most.

Paul Turpin was the estimator. He appreciated my ideas and gave me suggestions that I had not considered. Phillip was my installer. He was great! He arrived on time, walked me through the process and finished the job in 12 hours over 2 days. Phillip worked cleanly and professionally. I am very pleased with the results and would work with Paul and Phillip again.

We hired Utah Flooring and Design aka Utah Floor Coverings to install hickory hardwood flooring to match what was already in the house. We already had the work of removing carpet and stacking the boxes of hardwood in the house complete when they arrived the first day. Within an hour of their arrival nearly every wall in the house was dinged up, had several actual holes all the way through the drywall or had dirty marks from them bumping equipment along the walls. They scratched up the hardwood that was already in the house. None of that was ever remedied. Keep in mind that Utah Flooring and Design hires subcontractors. You may get a good one or you may get a horrible one. If they send a horrible one they will take no responsibility whatsoever. They do not return phone calls or answer emails or text messages unless they feel like it. They wouldn't even tell us the name of our project manager. We had to do an end run and call their billing department to find that out, but the person never called us back anyway. We did finally talk to one of the owners, who told us nothing was his responsibility because it was the subcontractor's work. The owner was extremely rude and condescending on the phone. We paid Utah Flooring and Design directly. It was absolutely their responsibility to select a competent subcontractor and make sure the work was satisfactory. They did neither. They or the subcontractor flat out lied to us several times. Please note in the attached photos the quality of the work we received. The subcontractor failed to mix the colors and half of our living room floor is mostly light colored hickory while the other half is mixed colors. We paid ~$7000 for the installation but they just couldn't be bothered to take a few extra minutes to open up another box and mix the colors - Hardwood Installation 101. They had far overestimated the number of boxes of flooring we would need for the job so there were plenty of boxes of flooring to pull colors from to make a nice mix. Then they hid the glaring mistake under heavy boxes of flooring so we wouldn't notice how awful it was until they pulled them off later. At that point the adhesive was set. Also note from the photos that they left gaps, filled in gaps with caulk and did other shoddy work. Several phone calls and messages to the company were ignored and they have to this day completely failed to respond in any way to the sub par work that was done. They also charged us more than they quoted. They were to be finished in four days, but they kept coming late, not coming at all or only the unskilled members of the crew would show up and fiddle around not doing much except wasting our time. They would confirm an arrival time with us for the next day and then not bother to notify us at all if they weren't going to show up. They did not respect our time and schedule. They did not come prepared with all the tools and supplies they needed and had to borrow things from us. They were to sand down some of the concrete flooring to level it and we asked that they tape plastic up so concrete dust did not go all over the house. They did tape plastic up on one doorway, but absolutely refused to put it up on the other door saying they needed to go in and out that way. I asked them just to tape it at the top so there was some barrier. They refused. Grey dust was on every single surface of the house: ceilings, inside closed cabinets, walls, fixtures, ducts, vents, etc. I'm so glad they were working in an empty house because if there had been furniture or anything in the house it would have been a very expensive disaster. They never actually finished the work. We had to reinstall some of the baseboards and clean up their messes on our own. Before the subcontractor left for the last time they asked us to quickly fill out a survey/report on one of their phones and then tried to get the phone away from us before we could hit the submit button. We do not recommend using this company.

Horrible experience. This company made us feel we should have never bought our new home.

We had our fireplace retiled . The contractors did a fantastic job . They worked with me until we got exactly what I wanted . Would use them again

These guys are true professionals and they will personally come over to your home to help you out with any needs you may have. I had some questions during my project and Chris came over to make sure everything was going well. If you need anything done to your home these are the guys to call.
