The work was fine, it took about 45 minutes. The technician seemed fine and cleaned cut.

AAA Cooling & Heating quoted a fee over the phone of $79. When their technician arrived at our house, he raised the fee to a
"Level 2" and charge $229 for the 45 minutes he was there. In that time, he diagnosed the problem as a failed control board, which he said needed to be replaced at an additional cost of $763.10.
This control board can be purchased on the internet for about $90, or locally for $139. I hired another HVAC technician, who spent about 35 minutes to replace the control board. This entire repair should have cost around $350, but AAA charged us $229 and wanted an additional $763.10, for a total of $992.10, to complete the repair.

Heating and Air Conditioning Service
At the time the estimate was provided, Jay (the owner) spent lots of time going over my current system and explaining the options, as well as his recommendations. He told me what things my house didn't really need, and what options he considered a waste of money, as well as where my money was better spent. He did not try to upsell me on a higher rated, or more expensive system, which I'm sure would have been more profitable for him. While the cost was not inexpensive, I found it very fair, and comparable to what a family member paid for a similar system. He told me the 5 ton AC unit that I had was too big for my house size, and recommended a 3.5 ton. It's been running a few weeks now of this extremely hot summer, and is doing a fantastic job. Two of his employees worked straight through on a Friday and Saturday to get the system fully installed as expeditiously as possible, and it was completed only 4 days after the initial estimate. Jay returned for a walk-through when the job was complete, showing me the work that had been done, and the quality of the details, which I appreciated. He answered all my questions, and made sure I knew how to contact him with any questions. Overall, I feel they did a fantastic, high quality job, and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Heating and Air Conditioning Service
They sent a representative out to do an assessment of what was needed to replace my furnace and add central air conditioning.
They suggested several options and I chose one of the more expensive because I wanted a QUALITY system.
After I signed the agreement they sent out an installer who installed the equipment.
The system after being installed did not work correctly.
They sent out a second installer/technician and he indicated that the first person did not install the system correctly and they reinstalled the equipment.
The system still did not work correctly and again major changes were made.
The furnace was finally working but they said it was too cool to properly test the AC.
The next summer the AC would not keep the upstairs cool.
They came back several times but the AC never worked adequately.
In the end the manager said, "You’re duct work has too many right turns in it so the AC will not work properly and there is nothing we can do".
At this point the warrantee was up, and I gave up trying to get the company to fix the AC.
I brought in another company and they determined the amount of refrigerant in the system was way too high. (Evidently too much is as bad as too little). They adjusted the levels and it did work better although not so as to really keep the upstairs cool.
Evidently the system is just under sized for the existing duct work. The furnace however works just fine with the same duct work.
My point was and is, that they sized the system they sold me, AFTER analyzing my home and duct work.
I believe they should have been responsible for making it work.

Heating and Air Conditioning Service
We called several repairmen. Steve with AAA Heating & Cooling returned our call within 15 minutes in the evening and advised us of the after hours cost and what options we had. At a cost of $130 an hour vs. $90 an hour during the day, we had him come during the day. When he arrived, he advised us that it would cost almost as much to fix it as it would to replace it with a refurbished unit containing all new parts. As said above, the bearings were stuck on there, as was the shaft, and needed sawed out, which he estimated could take from 3 to 4 hours to fix. Incidentally, our swamp cooler broke down while we were in the middle of having our new roof done. Steve coordinated with the roofers and even came back to finish the job after they had flashed the swamp cooler later that day. Plus, his company has warrantied the swamp cooler through this summer and the next. Steve was very friendly, easy to work with, and up front about what needed done.

When there were problems they came and fixed right away. The customer service is good. They did clean up after job, too. Everything works wonderful.
