BROWN PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

Brown Property Management is charging us for breaking our lease after we moved out for safety hazards. We lived in two of Brown property's houses. The first house had a lot of safety issues and even caused my son to get stitches from terrible maintenance work. With so many problem with the property they agreed to moved us to another property. But not without charging us a cleaning fee for muddy foot prints (but they showed the property and they tracked in the mud.) We have eye witnesses for this fact. The new house the moved us into seemed okay at first until you really started looking and it was absolutely horrendous! It was nasty and dirty and everything seemed broke. After a rain storm we noticed a water spot in the ceiling and informed Brown property of this fact and they said they would send someone to fix it! Never happened, a month later it rained again only this time busted through the ceiling into the room. Again,I contacted them. We had various complaints including no air conditioning but Brown property never attempted to fix anything. We gave them 30 days to fix the unsafe items and if they were not we were moving. They did not repair anything until we called them and said we would be out by the end of the week, they were there that day! I have far to many pictures to prove the unsafe conditions they were forcing us to live in. Also how dirty the property was when we moved in, plus my husband and I spent a few hundred dollars painting the house to make it look better. My charges are broken door (was already broken), cleaning fee (house was nasty when we moved in and we had to clean it,) two months rent (how long it took them to repair the damage and move someone else in.) This house was not safe for my family because there was mold, the closet doors fell on my one year old, no air, and the water busted through the roof. I have documentation and pictures and have contacted brown property requesting a list of charges and never hear anything back.
