Overall it was a bad experience. When I called, I asked if they did small jobs and they said yes, but the contractor they sent noticeably lost interest when I decided against getting foam insulation blown onto the underside of the roof because of the cost compared to a radiant barrier. He did little or no supervision of the work done-the drywall repair inside was excellent, and as far as I can tell, the roofing was done well; however, the hole in the bedroom ceiling was repaired about a week before the roof work began, and the contractor dismissed my questions about possible damage to the repaired ceiling despite weather reports predicting rain. The rain came, causing additional water damage to the bedroom wall and a crack in the repaired ceiling from the water weight, forcing the contractor to drape a tarp over the roof until the roofing began (shutting barn door after cow gone?). Also, the leftover roofing material was not removed from my driveway for over a week despite repeated calls to the contractor, and the contractor's response to my calls was to say it was okay with him if someone stole it, until he finally, and grudgingly, picked it up. I had to ask him repeatedly to check for mold inside the bedroom wall (suggested by the people who extracted the water from the carpet). When he finally checked, the insulation was black with mold and the entire wall and insulation had to be removed and replaced. The exterior painting was the worst part of this experience. I should have stopped that part of this job when the contractor said the painting would increase from the $500 estimate to $900, or when they came one day to power wash the exterior and said they would return the next day to paint, then did not return for 3 days. The contractor said he had seen them at another job and I said if they had other priorities I would get someone else to paint, so they turned up the next day. I told the contractor I was concerned that the painters had not removed any of the power washed paint from the plants and driveway, and he replied that they would clean up at the end. Not only am I not impressed with the paint job itself, they damaged plants both front and back, left paint spatter on plants and even on a petrified rock in front of the house (that I have been unable to remove), and as far as I can tell, picked up and cleaned nothing before they left. When the contractor offered to have them paint the bedroom I told him I didn't want them inside my house and finally changed to another contractor.
Description of Work: Called them when I found I had to replace my roof, because I had heard talks by Jim Sargent about the company's work on improving energy efficiency and wanted to upgrade/improve the roof and increase efficiency. The contractor they sent had people replace the roof, spray-on a radiant barrier, painted exterior wood siding, repaired hole in bedroom ceiling and removed/replaced bedroom drywall and insulation.
