The repairman was great! On-time, courteous and professional! He took time to explain my stystem and made recommendations.

This has been my 3rd service call from Woodlands H & A/C. Every service has been exceptional. I have a mechanical engineering degree, so I have a critical eye for detail in this kind of work. I own an 18 y.o. 2 story house with 2 A/C units - one for each level. A different company who shall remain nameless replaced the entire unit serving the upstairs 7 years ago. There were numerous issues with that replacement (leaky seals, mis-routed ducts) and that prompted me to seek out Woodlands A/C when the other unit (serving downstairs level) failed Spring 2011. They replaced both the compressor unit and the evaporator in a timely manner, and there were no issues at all. In early Summer of that same year, the 5 y.o. evaporator coil from the aforementioned botched installation (upstairs unit) sprang a pinhole leak. These units should last 10+ years under normal service. I had Woodlands A/C back out and they replaced the evaporator, and performed some duct work at my request. Again, there were no issues and cost was very reasonable. This June, the 2 y.o. evaporator serving the upstairs sprang a huge leak. After removal, a large hole was obvious in one of the units interior welds - clearly a manufacturer's defect. Woodlands A/C replaced the unit completely free of charge - no parts or labor. According to the invoice, the job ordinarily would have cost $1280. I can't praise this company enough. Phil and his employees are well trained professionals and very courteous. As my experience indicates, they will take good care of you.

Professional and trustworthy company. And like Jeff had indicated, it all starts with excellent communication. Brian, who is the field technician is extremely knowlegeable and detail oriented. He guided us through this whole process and we could not be happier with the outcome. Once he identified the issue and or issues, he was able to provide the solution as well as a quick turnaround. The installaiton crew was just as great, they are all employed by the company and are extremely detail oriented and efficient. When in doubt, give them a call and you will get the same experience that we had. The cost to replace the unit becomes secondary to the experience and knowing how the product will be supported for the coming years. Extremely satisfied, and to Phil, Jeff and Brian, thanks again..

As with everything we have ever had done to our house, we do extensive research for both quality of product and craftsmanship of people doing the work. We are also willing to pay slightly more for excellent customer service/craftsmanship. After many weeks of researching our desired product and being new to the The Woodlands, we turned to Angie's List to find someone to do the job. Phil, the owner from the The Woodlands Heating and Cooling Co. was amazing; he was professional, prompt, responsive, and helpful in answering all questions and clarifying concerns. Our project could not have gone any smoother. Called them, they answered the phone right away, Phil came to our house. There was no pressure to decide and also no pressure to up sell any products. After we decided to go with them, they immediately set a start date for that same week. Job was done in one day, despite the fact that it rained most of the afternoon. The crew was on-time, professional, responsive, courteous, efficient, and they cleaned up after themselves. That same day after job was competed Phil came to give a final inspection and walk through. They also had one technician come out a few days later to check the systems to be certain everything was functioning properly. I would highly recommend them. We had 2 quotes from 2 different companies.

Once again, this company performed. They are the most professional group of people I've ever used in the Woodlands. I can't recommend them enough.

They technician that came to my house was very nice, on time, efficient and he knew what he was doing. Overall they provided an excellent service.

Brian was available a little earlier than the time frame specified, and called to see if it was ok for him to come a little early. We appreciated that. He got our tuneup done quickly and recommended we replace our worn-out capacitor, which we had him do right away. Our house and A/C unit are about 14 years old, so I asked him about the age of the unit, and he spent some time talking with us about that. He said it is getting old and will probably have to be replaced in the next few years, but is doing fine for now. I appreciated that he took the time to answer our questions about that, and that he didn't try to persuade us to replace the unit at this time. He was very professional and courteous, and did his job quickly and efficiently. This company also did our heating tuneup in the fall, and that also was a good experience. They have been courteous and professional and taken the time to answer questions for us and been very helpful. We have been very pleased with their service and will continue to use them.

I had estimates from 3 different companies and The Woodlands AC / Heating was not only the lowest but also described in detail every step to be taken to insure an effecient system. The crew was prompt, courteous and professional. They know what they're doing and they do it well. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again in the future, assuming I buy another residence because this system will be good for some time

The work went very well. My heat went out on Saturday and when I called my usual repair company they did not arrive until Monday afternoon and then the service tech wanted to replace my nine year old furnace more than he wanted to repair it. I declined his offer to buy a new furnace and found The Woodlands Heating and Air Conditioning on Angie's List. That same afternoon (New Year's EVE!!) I spoke to Jeff and within an hour he sent Brian to do the repair, which was complete in less than an hour. And the price was much more competitive than the first company's quote to repair. I will not be gong back to the old A/C company, The Woodlands Heating and Air Conditioning is my new service provider! Thanks Jeff and Brian.

My home is all electric, no gas, so the heat is handled in an "air handler" in the attic which includes the AC system evaporator as well as system controls. The heat went out late the week of 11/12/12. We had an appliance home warranty which should have covered this, or at least a portion of it, but that's another story. I'm still waiting on their assigned vendor's estimate. We had used The Woodlands Heating & AC many years ago at another house and when I saw their "A" listing on Angie's list I contacted them for a second opinion and estimate to fix our system. Although we are out of their area (House is located on the NE end of Lake Conroe) they said they would help. Their rep, Brian Jones, contacted me within the hour and said he would be here within an hour to look at the problem. He showed up on time, took a look at the system and presented me with options for repair of the existing system, replacement of the air handler, and system replacement. His explanation was clear, he was personable and professional. This was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I called him that evening to agree to the system replacement - our best option and he said he would contact me on Friday morning (the day after Thanksgiving) to set up the work for that day. On Friday, he called at about 8 AM to advise his crew and he would be here shortly to start work. They showed up at about 9 and were done by about 1:30 that afternoon. They used floor covering throughout their work path, damaged nothing and did a quality job. Brian also checked out the upstairs system (we have two zones) and did a few minor things on it in the process. That afternoon I also got a follow-up call from the company to ensure everything was good and done to my satisfaction I will continue to use these folks and recommend them to anyone needing Heat and AC work. Outstanding job!

Two days after the furnace check was completed, a valve on the furnace malfunctioned. The company responded immediately, and though the valve had not shown any malfunction during the inspection, the company replaced the valve at no additional cost. Thank you, Angie's List.

I woke up one Saturday morning about 3AM and noticed it was bit warm in the house. The fan was running but no cool air was circulating. I went outside and checked the fuses and everything was fine, but the outside unit was not running. I got on the computer, checked Angie?s list, picked them based on ratings and called and left a message on their phone at about 4AM. I got call from them about 7:30 AM Saturday morning and they said they would be out between 9:30AM and 10:00. They were on time and fixed the unit. As I said they evaluated the unit and we decided to replace it and we did so the following Monday. I had a bad experience with the people that installed the furnace about 3 years earlier and this experience was like day and night. I have since called them to repair and replace a rental unit furnace and AC unit in our rental property. Again they did good job. Modifications to the cold air return were required and the wall opening had to be enlarged just to get the old unit out and new unit in. Before they left the wall was repaired and everything was cleaned up.

Incredible service. I called Jeff with an emergency (water dripping through ceiling of kitchen from attic a/c unit), and he told me that he would send someone right over. In about 20 minutes Brian showed up, got right to the problem, and had eveything squared away within 30 minutes. He had a great attitude, was very explanatory about the problem and cure, and even recommended a trusted repair source for the ceiling work.

It was outstanding! It was reasonable, honest, and they did excellent work.

We noticed the unit not cooling just before bedtime and decided to call first thing in the morning, I had used this company one other time and had purchased a service contract, but it had been over a year. The call was answered immediately and they set a time to come out later that morning. They were on, time and very thorough in determining what the problem was. I thought the price was fair and Ellison knows his stuff. I also felt he can be trusted to fix only what needs repaired, and not try to pad the bill.

Great work!! Elwood new exactly what the problem was. He showed me the part that was broken and compared it to the new one. He showed up right on time and did a great job! Could not ask for more!

I called The Woodlands Heating & Air Conditioning Co and left a message early this morning. They called right back within 15 minutes and tried to help me trouble shoot the problem as it seemed simple enough and I would not have a charge. Was not able to fix it myself and was asked what a good time of day would be to have a service man come by. Early morning or late evening worked. They said they would have a technician call before coming out. I got a call 20 mins later and the technician said he could be at my house in 20 minutes. 1 hour later he was leaving and my ac was working great.

The work went fine. It cost more than I expected, but there were more issues than I knew about. They did a good job, and they were very informative about telling me what my options are. I don?t have anything negative to say about them. They were able to reasonably promptly diagnose my problem and fix it. They seemed to have done a good job. I would recommend them to others. I would say that they are good choice for someone in the North Houston Woodlands area. They are polite and informative. As far as remember they were in the time frame they promised.
