Morrow Mechanical

Our experience with Morrow Mechanical was great. We called them for a quote on a new AC and heating system. They provided us several options from a standard AC and furnance system to the AC and heat pump system we went with. We received a new AC and heat pump with a smart wifi enabled thermostat. The price were were originally quoted did not include a veteran/military discount, but they honored the price minus the discount. We were able to pay with a personal check after all the work was done and we signed off on the work. The techs doing the installation were awesome. They made sure to let my husband know what they were going to be doing and which rooms/areas they would need access to. They were scheduled to be out at our home for just one day but ended up needing to come back for a half day. They let us know ahead of time that they wouldn't be finished by the end of the day so we could plan accordingly. Overall, I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a new AC and/or heating system as well as service. They were punctual every time we dealt with them and promptly returned calls (if we had to leave a message).

Morrow was very prompt in responding to our call. They initially sent a service rep to review our existing central A/C and heading system (a 15 year old Carrier unit). The unit survived last summer OK, but it was time to replace the systems. Since Morrow does not sell Carrier, we decided upon a Lennox Elite model along with a companion furnace. The installation guys came ON TIME on the day scheduled and did the job in about 6 hours during the day. They also reviewed the current air flow to one of the distant bedrooms and made some adjustments to improve the air flow to that room. Much better! Other than a small amount of pink insulation which accidentally blew into a few rooms from a couple of the vents for a few minutes during the testing period, the installation process went great. The installers were very easy to work with. Thus far (we're only 1 week in), both the A/C and the furnace have been put into action, and both are working great. Nice job!

Morrow was professional with the estimate. They provided three options that were available in three different price ranges. They were not pushy in trying to sell one over another. On the day of the install, a crew showed up at about 8:30am and got to work right away. They were considerate in keeping house clean, used covers on their shoes. They even reset the existing heater unit on better blocks for support without charging me. They made sure everything was cleaned up before they left. Of the three quotes I got from different companies, Morrow was not the cheapest quote, but their professional demeanor, knowledge, and low or no pressure sale made me decide to go with Morrow. Also, they have really good reviews from other customers here on Angie's List.

Everything went well. The air conditioner has been working without any issues one year later and is no longer accumulating water that was condensing on the evaporator and then freezing up, resulting in no cooling air flow through it.

Punctual, professional and knowledgeable. Explained to me clearly the problem and what my options were. I chase to replace entire unit and not partial because I wanted to ensure no more problems from older units/parts. They arrived promptly to do the work and finished within 5-6 hours. Called to follow up and to make sure I had no problems. I have peace of mind knowing my a/c will work in hot Houston climate.

They are just excellent. They did such a great job. They were professional and on time. One technician was out doing the work. Scheduling is just perfect and they called before they arrived for the appointment. Everyone I have encountered with has been wonderful.

The experience was excellent. In particular we received really good service from Russell Redfield. Everyone on the crew was great as well.

I have used them consistently. They are really worth it. I am very pleased with them. They haven't done any major work but it was just a tune-up work. The thing that I liked most about them is that they seemed very knowledgeable about the equipment that I own. The people who come out are very professional in their approach and in their work. They're very conscious. They put the booties in their boots when they come in the house. I think their price is reasonable. They're very thorough. They check everything out very carefully. They show up when they say they're going to show up. I would continue to use them in the future.

They did a superb job and were very professional. We were extremely pleased with their service.

The installation of our system went well. It took a couple of days to tear out all the old equipment and then install the new. When I saw the old stuff laying in the front yard I could see what they had been seeing. Yuck. Since the new heating and A/C has been in place we are warm and cool on demand. The system works great...but you would expect that. The service is a plus! Got a question? Call. Got a need? Call. Too hot, too cold...Call! We have a Morrow technician out every six months for a check up. Our system also has an all-system filter which the technician changes annually. The technicians are CLEAN and very polite. They answer all my questions too. The house is cleaner too which is great for my husband's asthma. Thanks to Morrow!

Although I didn't use Morrow Mechanical, I would definitely consider using them in the future based on my excellent interactions.

I bought my home new in April, 2008. This past month, my air conditioner has acted up, to the point where it failed on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013. I called Morrow Mechanical (my heating and air conditioning company) that very day and the next day a repairman came out and determined that the problem was that the evaporator coil needed replacing. My builder's grade air conditioner had only a five year warranty which expired this past April, so I needed to pay the entire cost of this coil, which was not cheap. However, Morrow Mechanical came through for me, coming back the very next day and performing the install. What I am most impressed about with Morrow Mechanic is their customer service. They are quick to respond and fair with their price. Their work is quality, which is much more than I can say for two previous heating and air conditioning companies which I have used in the Houston, TX area. I am happy with this company and I plan to be with them a long time.

Morrow Mechanical did a great job! The technician was courteous, professional, and competent. He was very receptive to answering my questions and showed me areas that may develop problems in the future. I was impressed with his integrity and honesty. At no time did I feel he was trying to take advantage of me.

Installation was not done to code. It failed inspection

The service provided peace of mind and the unit performed great during the summer. Since it is very old, >10 years, these tune ups and checks before the summer are critical to keep our AC working in the summer.

They installed two full units, Lennox "top of the line". I would use them again in a heartbeat.

No unneeded up sell attempts, just serviced my system and gave feedback on the condition of everything. Paid $159 to cover this visit and includes another visit later in the year - which they will call to set up. Very satisfied with this company.

I called them in a panic at 8:30AM because my A/C was not working and our house has 3 showings starting at 12:30PM that day. They were able work my house into the schedule and my AC was repaired by 11AM. I liked that I was shown 3 or 4 different repair options, and I was able to select the right one for our needs. Because our house was on the market, we knew an inspection was on the horizon and I feel confident knowing that Morrow Mechanical checked our system out ahead of time. I do wish that our awesome technician had some business cards on hand. We are moving locally, and I would like to keep business cards on hand for all the great companies we have found through Angie's list.

Work was performed efficiently. Diagnostics were performed prior to a discussion of repair options and various cost estimates. Then, a final figure was presented prior to performing the actual repairs, which I ok'd. Questions were answered professionally, and the work was completed to my satisfaction.

The visit went very well as usual, this is 2nd yr I've called them back for service. AC tune up, inspect motor and power dist, test compressor starting, measure refrig pressure and temp, measure amp draws,evaporator check, air filter check, inspect air duct for leakage, measure evaporator temp drop,lnspect condenser coil & water wash,everything checked out good!

Morrow have to be one of the best service contractors I've ever dealt with. Bryon was the technician and would definitely highly recommend him. Their office staff when I called in were also the best I've dealt with. I have phoned the company who used to do my repair and indicated they will not be a service provider to me again. My company whom I've paid numerous services calls to....indicated I would have to go for at least 4 days before they could send someone. Morrow was there in 45 minutes. I would rate Morrow a 12 out of 10.... a true customer oriented company.

Repairs were done quickly and efficiently.
