Great. Job went prefectly and was installed on time, just as Mr Yuras promised (and our weather cooperated!)

Yuras was one of three roofing companies that bid on the job. I was impressed by the professionalism of the people on the ground and on the phone. Pricing was competitive and the materials that were used were very good. The main work was done in two days and the cleanup was good. My only complaint is that initially the replacement wood used around the edge of the roof was not the same dimension as the original wood and so it looked bad. It felt to me that it took too long for that situation to be remedied. Once done, the wood matched well. My second complaint was that even though I was charged $145 for "painting-minimum," the replacement wood was not painted. The only thing that was painted were the metal roof vents and the ends of the valleys where they extend beyond the roof. I would recommend Yuras but would caution that you must watch the work being done and make sure that you get what you expect.

The veterans loan process took a lot longer than expected but Robert Yuras honored all of the estimates even though they were past the original expiration dates. After the financing was finally secured and the repairs scheduled, it started to rain. Robert delayed the repairs until the weather was good so no additional damage would be done. His people were very professional and friendly. They even did a clean-up of the front and back yards even though it was not something that they were required to do. The repair was completed within the specified time frame and budget. I am extremely satisfied with his work.

It went very well except a few minor irritations. First of all, the shingles were delivered by a hired company much earlier in the morning on the first day. I didn't expect this and was caught in the shower when the doorbell rang. The delivery truck was too long and low and could not go up the very slight grade driveway. They ended up leaving the shingles on the driveway instead of the roof. The poor roofers had to work an extra hard and longer day to get the job done. I was not home when the project was finished and noticed a patio lamp and plant had been damaged. Since it was after hours, I left a message at the main office. Donna Yuras promptly called me the next day to apologize and immediately issued a credit for my estimated damages to the bill. She took my word for the damage and estimated cost and didn't feel it was necessary to send someone to confirm what I reported. I thought this was very classy and professional. It was nice not to worry about producing receipts, arguing or haggling. I will hire Yuras Roofing again in a heart beat.

I was impressed from the very beginning. When I called, I was told that they were extremely backed up and didn't have availability for about a month - even to do an estimate. I explained that I was in the process of purchasing a home and had a certain amount that would be placed in escrow, but had to have the estimate in hand prior to closing. She told me that she would see what she could do. She called back and had a date that worked with my timeframe. Bryan Yuras came out and did his inspection and left a sample of shingles (which no other company had done). We received an estimate via email very quickly, AND we also received a hard copy of the estimate and a thank you letter (thanking us for considering their company) in the mail. Their quote beat everyone else's by a long-shot and I never once felt like I was given any type of sales pitch or being forced into something I didn't want and/or need. No pressure at all with these guys. They don't require any payment until the job is finished and you are happy with what they've done. I was very wishy-washy about the colors - Bryan brought the whole array of actual shingles for me to look at. Then he sat and spoke with me for about 30 minutes about the colors and options. Bryan called while he was dropping off the shingles at my house and said he noticed an area of pipe that stuck out further than it was supposed to but told me not to worry because they would go ahead and correct that while they were doing the work. They use the same GAF materials that the other companies quoted for literally thousands of dollars more. They also included 40 lin. ft. of ridgevent (which other companies wanted to charge hundreds more as an add-on). The crew that came out finished in less than 2 days (8:30am to about 8pm the first day, and 8:30am to about noon the second day). Everything was cleaned up and there was really no inconvenience with any messes or anyone being in the way. My roof looks wonderful and I can't wait until we actually receive some rain so that I can better assess that aspect of quality. (We have been up on the roof and it all looks like it's great quality, but I'm no roof expert) They installed a rain diverter over my entry area (which another company wanted to charge extra for), they fixed/re-constructed an area of rotten fascia near my entry way (for about $500 cheaper than the other company), and they even painted/matched the vent/piping. The only thing that I think could have been done differently was a follow-up "walk-thru" of the finished product. Otherwise, I'm very happy with everything that has been done - price, quality, professionalism, etc.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Scheduled appointment for estimate. Very prompt and fast turnaround on estimate. (Yuras was one of five different roofers est. I received). Once, I accepted their bid, they came out and carefully analyzed the roof - and planned the project. They scheduled a date. On the scheduled date, a crew of approx. 7 showed up on time and started work. The owner, who was managing my install - Mr. Robert Yuras - visited the site each day and was available for any questions, at anytime. The crew leader, "Olvi", was absolutely excellent. Between Mr. Yuras and Olvi - they treated this job as it they were roofing there own house. It is an impeccable job -well done. I was kept well informed, they cleaned up each day, and went above and beyond on every aspect of this job to provide extraordinary customer service. The Yuras family demonstrated that they are very sincere and serious about customer satisfaction. The company is a "real" business and does not require any down payment - you are invoiced after the job is completed and after the owner himself has inspected the job. This is the way is "used to be" when I was growing up in San Antonio, and this is the way it should be. I have dealt with many contractors over the past 18 years, from flooring, to home re-wiring, & remodeling - all have been very difficult project. It was REFRESHING to work with Yuras Roofing - their integrity and ethic were above any I have seen in this town in a long, long time. I specifically had to re-join Angie's list just to write this review. My review has been delayed due to a busy schedule. It has been just over 1 year since this roof was installed and there have been NO LEAKS, my utility bill has averaged 25% to 30% lower each month, and I have had numerous people contact me, wanting to know who did my roof - including two architects.

They did pretty well. They also did a great job in cleaning up the mess caused by the roof replacement.

It was great. They really are top notch. They run a tight ship. It is a family owned business, and maybe over 30 years old.

I contacted the Yuras organization to inquire about their attic ventilation solutions for our detached garage. In calling after business hours last evening, I left a voice mail and received a prompt return call the next morning. While the representative stated their current workload would not allow them to take on my service related project, I certainly understood and appreciated the courtesy phone call. Most companies with an abundance of work would have ignored my voice mail and never returned my call.

Joe Yuras was very professional and easy do deal with. He completely explained everything they would do and the products that would be used. We have an addition to the house that is only 7 years old and did not need a new roof. His challenge was to match the new and the old roofs and he did an outstanding job; it's hard to tell the difference. They basically got the roof done in one day and came back the next morning to finish the clean up. The office staff is also very easy to deal with; quick to respond to email and phone calls.

They have done a five day job in three. They are awesome and has done a great job. He is very personable and lives in the neighborhood. He as the owner came out to set everything up and answered any questions. He came back that afternoon to see I we had anymore questions. He has been on the job and ut to the sight every day. He is very hands on and a very nice guy.

In the past month we have had extensive remodeling done to the exterior of our home. The final phase was the roof, and we actually took bids before the other work had even started. Mr. Yuras (Joe) gave us an extremely detailed estimate, and took the time to explain exactly how and why things would be done the way they were. Because of certain up-grades we made prior to and during our conversation with Mr. Yuras, the price was a little higher than other bids, but if we had not chosen several things, the price would have been right in line with our other bids. In no way did Mr. Yuras influence these decisions, we just didn't want to worry for quite awhile about a new roof. Because the color of the shingles was still in question, Mr. Yuras sent full size samples to us, to help in our decision. On the start date, the crew showed up, as well as Mr. Yuras. They got right to work and were extremely professional and efficient. If I had any questions, Mr. Yuras was there to answer them. Because of rain, some of the final things to be done were postponed one day, but Mr. Yuras himself and one of his foremen came to complete the job. They even solved an unforeseen problem, and took quite some time to assure that the situation was properly resolved.I was completely satisfied with the work they did and I would definately recommend Yuras Roofing to anyone who needs a roof or roofing repair.

I requested 3 roofing companies of the highest Angie List ratings to come give me an estimate. Joe Yuras, the owner, was the first one to show up. I have had problems with leaking skylights, and he gave me a detailed explanation of what he was going to do to fix everything. His estimate was clearly written in detail. No broad categories but had specifics. The other two companies estimated very close, but had things that gave me pause. First, one of them said the vent pipe coming off the water heater was not code and would require an additional $400 + to repair. Well, I had just replaced the water heater by a very reputable plumbing company that knows the code. The other one warned that my chimney in all likelihood would have to have the hardy plank dismantled for new flashing etc. which would require new board, priming, painting, etc. These so-called contingencies made me nervous. Joe Yuras came back out and assured me that that would not be the case on the chimney. Plus, he was adding additional ice/water shield over the low pitch add-on. When they started pulling shingles off, he noticed that there were 4 old layers of paper on the decking. The previous roofer 20 years ago didn't bother to remove the old stuff--they were in a hurry. Joe removed all of the old stuff before putting on new paper. He was there when the job started, when the skylights were put in, and then came back to inspect. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend you use Yuras. Also, his crew cleaned up amazingly quickly and did the job quickly. He gives a 10 year guarantee!

After making appointments with several companies highly recommended on Anglie's List, I agreed to a contract with Yura's roofing. The gentlemen who came to my home, Robert and Joe, were professional, cordial, approachable, and made this process understandable and worry free for me. Other bids came in anywhere from 4000 to the highest one from Beldon at about 7500. Now take into consideration my house is about 1200 square feet. There is an area of my roof belonging to an addition that is completely flat and needed to be completely redone. Not only did Yuras give me the least expensive bid, but they completed the work in one day. They gave me a detailed account of all the materials, exact costs of materials, and labor. They did not charge me for materials they did not use. Beldon wanted to to an elaborate reconstruction of the entire area and use top dollar expensive materials. Granted, I've seen roofs done by Beldon, and they look pretty darn good, but I just simply could not afford a 7,000 roof. Yuras also gave me a $100 discount for mentioning Angie's list. I would recommend Yura's to everyone. I would be utterly surprised if you did not get exactly what you ask for, for the best price, by the best team available. This is a first class company. When the giant hail storm happened a few months later, our roof didn't even have a scratch, in fact, we could barely even hear the giant balls of ice on our roof. The other thing I liked about Joe and Robert is that they took me and my money seriously. I am a school teacher and don't have a ton of money to spend, but I love my little home and try to get the best possible quality work for the best price (not necessarily the cheapest, but the best price for the kind of work I want done), and these gentlemen understood that, and did not placate me or talk to me like I was some kind of moron. I've owned my home for 11 years and have had to deal with a lot of contractors and if I even get a bad vibe from anyone, I scratch them off the list and don't recommend them to anyone. I also prefer to go with companies where I sign a contract, rather than a "dude" who I can't really hold accountable. I'm a little slow in writing this, but better late than never. I just wanted to make sure I wrote up this great family owned company in the best light ever. They deserve and it's good to know they're out there. Especially for single women out there who own their own home - don't hire a friend of a friend, or some dude you know who does roof work thinking you'll get a better deal. I guarantee you will get the best price possible, along with the best quality work, from this family owned company with incredible integrity. BTW - I asked several "dudes" who did roof work and the minimum price I was quoted started at $4200 for a 1200 sq. ft house (that also included the repairs I needed). Don't trust them! Go with this company!

I have a flat portion of my roof that in the past they had to put a particular type of coating on it that would water proof as well as seal the nail holes against the leakage. This time when they put the new roof on, they put a second layer of that thin coating over the top of the first layer. So now I have a double layer of it, and that was done for me at very little cost. The chimney was done for no charge. They put the original one up and they put 1/2 inch plywood on it several years ago and when the hail damaged the roof I let them know that the original 1/2 inch was starting to buckle a little and they would put 3/4 inch plywood on it. And that is the reason that I needed to have the chimney waterproofed, primed and painted again. He has put on six to seven roofs on over the years for me.

The roofing job went smoothly and was completed in one day. The crew worked beautifully together; everyone knew exactly what they were to do and did it without messing around: because of the noise, our dogs and i watched them from outside most of the afternoon. They repeatedly went around the house to be sure they had picked the trash and nails. Robert did the same thing when he inspected the work the next day. We had a little problem with the ceiling bonding; I guess because of the age of the house (nearly thirty years old), but Art Dymek, their painter, came out several times, on time, always polite and patience and re-did it until it was right. I don't think they had much profit on the inside work, but there was never a rude word or anyone being defensive. Art just wanted to get it right.

Our home was in dire need of a new roof. When I called to request an estimate, Joe & Robert came out the very next day to give me an estimate & left me samples. They were very professional and very personable. They explained the whole process to me and answered all of my questions. I wasn't sure about the color of the new roof so they came back out and brought larger samples for us to compare. (How fantastic!) I had received 3 estimates & while they were not the least expensive (they were only $200 more than the other roofing companies) I decided to go with Yuras. They scheduled a install date but due to the weather (cold & rain) they had to postpone it for a few days & explained why they could not install if the temperature was below a certain degree. As soon as the temperature was good they came out & installed the new roof in 2 days. They cleaned up after themselves & came out & did a final inspection as promised. I would use them again & have recommended them to several friends.

On time and for the quoted price.

The cost was better than some companies' estimates, comparable to others, but we were impressed by the professionalism and "straight-shooting" interaction with Mr Yuras. His crew performed the job in the time planned. We had questions about a few issues afterwards--he came back out to doublecheck work was correct. We are satisfied with the work, also have no doubt they would come back out if we had questions or concerns later. He was very aware of their good rating and Angies List and interested in maintaining the great reputation.
