Description of Work: I went to their showroom to discuss what I needed and to pick out the right color to replace the inside door handle on my front door. Trey was very patient and polite. I ordered the handle and they said they would call to schedule the installation when it came in. Trey called to schedule the appointment after it arrived early. Victor called before he left the shop to let me know that he'd be here in about 20 minutes. He arrived promptly and installed the new inside handle and locking mechanism. He needed to make some adjustments because the original outside lock had been replaced and didn't match up exactly. He also was very patient and polite and cleaned up the work area before he left.

Description of Work: They replaced cracked glass pieces in our paneled front door. It took two visits, as they had to custom-make the curved pieces. The new pieces blend in perfectly with the existing ones.

Description of Work: The Front Door made custom doors for an interior room in our house. Initially they were very responsive and helpful. As I recall they took at least 2 months longer than expected promise date. I had to keep calling and calling and each time there was a different person that was helping me so therefore I had to explain everything over again. Finally, when I did get it installed, the ironwork was placed the wrong way so I had to call them back again. I spoke to the owner and he agreed that it did take a long time to get my door, but he offered no apology or reduction in price. I will not use this company again.

Description of Work: We had three problem doors that needed rehanging or unsticking. Larry of this company came out and fixed the problems, working quickly and professionally. He improvised with materials on one door where a builder's defect failed to provide ample wood for "seeding" of the long hinge screws. He also advised us how we could fix a fourth problem door by installing a replacement dead-bolt lock ourselves.

+ -1 moreMy experience with their sales representative was great. It was easy to work with them. The installer came out and did a good job. Everything fit really nicely. I was only concerned about my back doors because the old sliding glass door was of different size from the new item. I just wish he probably had put the insulation before the final installation. A part of his work was to insulate the rest of the doors. I ended up doing from the inside. That was the only thing that I hoped that he had completed. I bought a front door and then I shopped around and ended up using them for the back door on a separate occasion. They had good pricing. I went looking for the back door to find something less expensive. I used them on 2 different occasions. One was in the fall of 2008 and again at the beginning of the year. The doors and the installation work cost me $3500.
Description of Work: The Front Door Co installed the front door. They also changed the sliding glass door to a double French door.

Next, a person came to the house to do the measurements and then 4-6 wks later the the door was installed. Expert workmanship overall -- they did a beautiful job on staining the mahogany door and install and fitting the door to the frame - overall VERY pleased from start to finish. The door, glass, and iron scrolling are of good quality.
Description of Work: Visited their showroom and purchased a door and accompanying sash (side window) along with having the door stained.

We were kept informed during the waiting period for the door to be delivered to the company and finished. When our new door arrived William came to install it. He did a beautiful job and took pride in his work. We are so pleased and very prout of our investment.
