RE/MAX Northeast property managers were absolutely terrible. I caution and advise against you from enlisting this company's services. Initially, I dealt with Anthony Vernoy. He was prompt, responsive, and ensured repairs were made on the house. He used a set list of contractors without regards to pricing, and when I confronted him with a particularly heinous price for a repair, he made amends and took no commission from that month's rent. A year later, my tenants changed out, and I was confronted with a different property manager, Erin Smith. That property manager was unresponsive and was never available to address my concerns. It would take more than 10 days for her to even acknowledge receipt of my emails. Later I was told that she was unavailable because she was departing the area (not a good explanation). In the interim, Daisy Vernoy responded to my emails. She is the one person who consistently and promptly responded to my emails and concerns. My property manager changed within that same year to another property manager, Jacqueline Wickware. She was only slightly more responsive than Erin Smith but failed to follow-up with my concerns and return my phone calls. I was suspicious that the tenant was subletting a room, but the property manager never had the time to confirm or deny. At the end of my tenant's contract, I discovered that the property manager failed to do two critical functions: a) failed to adequately ensure the tenant paid for all damages to the house 1. my high-efficiency washer had a leak, and the repairman found a screwdriver wedged into a hose 2. the tenant had a dog that chewed up the faux window blinds in the kitchen, the back porch railings, and house siding; the dog was not listed on the contract 3. the tenant stained a wine-colored substance on the Tempur-Pedic mattress in the guest bedroom (the house was partially furnished) 4. the tenant took the majority of my energy-efficient light bulbs throughout the house 5. the tenant failed to return all the keys to all the exterior doors to the house b) failed to ensure the house was appropriately cleaned upon departure; visible hair and dustballs on the floors is unacceptable When confronted with the broken washer, the property manager's response was that she did not think she had to check to ensure that all the appliances were functioning. When confronted with the lack of cleanliness, she stated that she thought the house was adequately cleaned. When I received the bill and found the cause of the broken washer, I called her back, but she did not answer her phone or return my call. I left her a message stating that I was disappointed (I was livid) with her and the last property manager and that I would NOT recommend Re/Max Northeast to anyone. Ever.
