Everything went well. Workers were very pleasant and stayed late to resolve problems, so that I was not without A/C overnight.

They dispatched a tech within an hour on a weekend morning! Technician diagnosed and fixed the issue. Very friendly and helpful, and the price was great!

I was able to receive a same-day appointment within two-hours! Not only was this the least expensive tune-up call I've encountered while living in San Antonio, my service tech (Eric Banda) took the time to sit down with me and explain the features of my system. As it turned out, my system is looking great and will need some fine-tuning within the next year. As a military member, honesty is key for me. I've encountered service techs in the past who recommended unnecessary additions and repairs to my previous system. Not Eric, he was honest and extremely professional.

They contacted me as soon as the offer was purchased, set up the appointment, and called to confirm the appointment, as well as letting me know when the technician could be expected. I had to reschedule once, and they were very accommodating, rescheduling the service call without any problems. The technician arrived on time, performed the inspection and gave me the results. They also followed up afterward to ensure that I was satisfied with the work. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

Jose' (technician) arrived on time for spring maintenance of A/C. He gave me a written estimate for repairs & discussed placement. Jared, comfort adviser, arrived short time later. Discussed options. I chose replacement which was completed the next day.

I suggested dates and included comments when I bought the deal. They did not contact me. I have gotten a refund.

I work so I asked for a date where I would be the first call of the day. I was given 10 May with a report time of 8-9: am. I'm waiting on the 10th and receive a phone call which I assume is them telling me they are on their way. WRONG. The lady tells me they have to cancel me for the day. I asked why and she said they had 2 techs call in so they were short 2, I asked why I was picked for one of those not serviced that day. Never answered that question. I called back later that day to reschedule and again told them me give me a day where I would be the first one serviced. They said 17 Apr was available and I would be first. I wanted my AC checked out because I have a pump and the water is pumped out thru the ceiling and that hose from the pump thru the ceiling has clogged in the past so I particularly wanted that checked out. Over Easter weekend the hose clogged which I discovered on Saturday 15 Apr. It wasn't too hot and I knew I had an AC person coming first thing Monday morning so I didn't call another AC company. Monday morning comes and the phone call telling me my person would be late. He had to go on an emergency call. I asked how many techs do they have - 5. Why couldn't one of the other tech do the emergency call. My tech had been on call so he had to go. They told me he would only be a hour later than his scheduled time. As I'm typing this it's 9:18 so he has 42 minutes left in the one hour later.

I was in need of replacing a 2 ton upstairs unit. I did my research and called around looking into my options. Many dealers were not interested in considering a zoning system and immediately recommended replacement ($6800-$12000) of the unit. Jared and his team came out and did a load calculation and determined the current downstairs unit would be able to handle both floors given our needs. Others would not consider doing a load calculation until we signed a contract and those that did were very very aggressive in their calculations (up to 7 tons). Everything was completed a month ago and all is going well. We are very pleased with their service.

We had Schmidt Mechanical out to our home several months ago and were completely satisfied with their work, so we called them again when our other A/C unit stopped working. This time, though, we were very disappointed. Technicians JR (who did most of the talking and said he was in training) and his supervisor, Fernando were courteous and prompt. However, it took them over an hour to supposedly identify the cause ("through the process of elimination"). It was true that electrical power wasn't getting to the parts that needed that power, they seemed to think it was due to a malfunctioning motherboard (due to the age of the unit) and "burnt wiring" of which J.R. showed us a piece in his hand (but not directly from the unit). We were told we needed a new motherboard at a cost of $749 as a "band-aid" fix but to properly repair the A/C, we also needed to have it rewired for an additional $300 plus. They were asking us what we wanted to do but we sent them on their way, telling them we needed to discuss the issue/cost and would contact the company to order the motherboard later. We called a competitor the next day who came out and within 30 minutes, told us that one of the fuses from the motherboard was missing (though we had not touched the unit or motherboard ourselves) and that the outside disconnect was installed upside down (!!). Again, we did not touch that disconnect component. Once the competitor re-installed the disconnect right-side up and replaced the missing fuse, our A/C started working and has continued to work. All for less than $100!!! WOW! Called the company scheduler, Lori (very nice and professional BTW), and told her of our experience, so this review should come as no surprise to the company. Definitely not worth the $29.00 service call.

J.R. came and cleaned out both AC systems - did an excellent job! Explained everything in great detail and in terms I understood. Unfortunately, the very first time I used Schmidt, I spent $5,000.00 plus overhauling the units (2) as was recommended by their serviceman. I understood this would be a wonderful thing as it would prolong the life of the units. However, J.R. explained today that the previous service was JUST for the outside - and I would need to spend another $5000.00 to "clean up" the inside of the units. I would have rather just replaced BOTH units back in 2015! However, J.R. was OUTSTANDING!! He was so kind and understanding - very knowledgeable, very professional - I wish he would have come out the very first time. He is so honest and trustworthy.

Took advantage of heating unit check promotion of $49. Technician was very professional and courteous. Checked our furnace and did carbon monoxide reading. All checked out okay. Ended up buying maintenance agreement for $79 that included this heating check and cooling check in the summer to come.

Things went well. The office staff was courteous and professional. I appreciated the fact that the Service Tech (JR P) asked me a few questions before asking to see the unit. As soon as he opened the AC closet door, he was able to see the issue: the gas valve was in the OFF position and the gas connector at the main valve was closed. After that was resolved, JR performed a Heat Check. He explained the inspection as he went along so I learned a few things about the unit. I appreciate the fact that even though it was late in day, he didn't rush and patiently answered all my questions. Everyone we've dealt with has been courteous and professional. I could not have had a better experience!

With each checkup I get a detailed written report of the functioning of my heating or AC system. I like to have my semi-annual checkups in May and November just before the start of heating or cooling.

It was very good. They were very thorough.

Luis H. is so professional. He showed and explained everything he was doing to the entire AC unit. The office staff personnel were also very professional from the moment I set up the appointment, called to remind of the appointment, and followed thru after service was completed by Luis. We will definitely call them back and recommend to family and friends.
