+ -1 moreThis was my first and only time that I've used them so far. They charged per room and they cleaned nine rooms. This was a little bit more than I would normally pay for cleaning but they did a really good job and it was chem-free. I am thinking about using them again.

I requested an early appointment because I worked nights. They usually do not start work until nine, but they came at 7:30 to accommodate my schedule.

I was reluctant because I'm pretty picky about how clean things are and was concerned that my expectations would not be met. I only saw one problem the first time which I brought to their attention. They are always very courteous, willing to do extra things, and do great work! I wish I had done this long ago. I also appreciate the reminders sent via email.

+ -1 moreMy wife had been out of town on business for over two months. As I was home alone with two dogs, I decided to ensure that the house was "girl clean" upon her return. I contacted Earthwise and made an appointment for a Spring Cleaning Special that included a top to bottom cleaning. On the day of the appointment, Myra arrived right on time, if not a couple of minutes early. She toured the house (approx. 1900 SQFT) and got to work. She won major points when I noticed that she threw the ball for one of my dogs. She made a friend for life. She spent five to six hours scouring the house, which was pretty clean at the outset. My wife arrived home and was floored. She has been exclaiming "The house is so CLEAN!!" since she got home. I am thrilled, she is thrilled and we will definitely hire them again!

+ 0 moreI had to reschedule a couple of times due to delayed closing on the house. Michelle was very accomodating and offered another date that was prompt. This meant the crew would be finishing up during the early evening hours, which was fine with me because I needed to get the house cleaned as soon as possible. A crew of 2 women showed up on time and did what they were supposed to do. (I didn't follow them around and watch to make sure they actually wiped out every cabinet and drawer, and I still haven't inspected every bit of the house. However, it appeared to me they were thorough.) The workers were friendly and pleasant but not overly chatty. They stayed on task and worked steadily till finished. Whenever they weren't sure of something, they asked how I wanted it. Earthwise uses a particular brand of "green" cleaning products, which is one reason I called them. However, I was still sensitive to something they were using. This does not really surprise me because I am sensitive to many cleaning products, even some of the "green" ones. I let Michelle know by phone and told the lady who was using the product. They quickly switched to something else that I had on hand. The work was completed in a reasonable amount of time, and I would use them again.
Description of Work: I contracted with Earthwise for an "empty house" clean prior to our moving into an existing home we had just purchased. I think they call it a "move out" clean. They cleaned the floors, inside cabinets and drawers, inside the fridge and ovens, wiped the baseboards, windowsills, dusted blinds, cleaned sinks and toilets, etc. As an additional service, they swept out the garage and dusted out the garage windows.

+ -1 moreThe two ladies who arrived were right on time and were very professional and nice. They got right down to business and cleaned everything; we were actually surprised by the level of detail that they performed. We lived in our rental home for three years and I am not the best cleaner, but they did everything without complaint and worked very efficiently to get the job done. I was so impressed with their level of service that I am considering using them in our new home on a semi-regular basis--something I would not have considered before, but now I can see the value in having someone help me keep my house clean! I would definitely use this service again, and I thought that for the amount of detail they put into their work I got more than my money's worth overall.
Description of Work: Move-out cleaning for our small rental home. They cleaned everything from the baseboards to the blinds to the top of our kitchen cabinets; overall a VERY thorough cleaning

+ -1 moreDo be organized and on time and nice...Ligia was all of these things. I just think stronger products would have helped a little more but not sure and we do like a lot of green products. Another plus is there were no cell phone calls or smoke breaks....
Description of Work: We paid 50.00 for 2 hours of cleaning and we just wanted the kitchen cleaned. Our priority was the floor, baseboards and stove/oven area. The lady was nice and worked hard but think needed stronger procucts. It could also be that had been more then a year since had done baseboards and the corners around the floor. I would want her in my house any time she wanted to come...really was nice and a hard worker. Her name is Ligia and I am not sure I am spelling that right or quite understood when she said it She also surprised us and washed the kitchen sliding door window and cleaned window ledges.

+ -1 moreLigia, the Earthwise House Cleaning consultant, hadn't been to our home for a little while because I had been out of work. But when she returned -- after a 5-week absence -- Ligia did an awesome job of getting our home back to where it was after her last visit in November. She did a terrific job, knew the problem areas in our home -- the master bathroom/bedroom and kitchen -- and spent more her time where we spend most of ours. What's more our cats love Ligia enough to stay away and let her do her job, and she loves them right back. With a previous cleaning contractor, two people cleaned our house and still missed trouble spots. On the other hand, Ligia misses NOTHING! I couldn't be happier with her work, and tell her so every time she's here. We've thrown goofy scheduling requests and delays to Ligia's boss, Michelle McKenna, as well, and yet they always found the time to clean our home, do it very well and at our convenience. Kudos to Angie's List for connecting us to Ligia, Michelle and Earthwise House Cleaning.

She felt like family in my home and I really appreciate the effort she put in to make my kitchen and dining area livable again. For the amount of work needed to be done, I'm amazed that she was able to get it done in the time she was here. Thank you Michelle!
Description of Work: I have been getting chemotherapy for the past year and unable to do ANY cleaning. Michelle tackled a very messy kitchen/dining/pantry area for me and has me smiling again. I wanted her to do the outside of the cabinets and appliances and clean the floor in all three areas. My cabinets and appliances now look new again ;-)) and my floor feels safe to walk on again!!!

+ 0 moreI needed someone to do some specialized cleaning at my mother's house. My initial contact with Earthwise was an e-mail I sent. Michelle responded with a telephone call almost immediately. She was friendly and professional, and an appointment for the cleaning was made. The two cleaners arrived on time and immediately got to work. My mother reported to me that they were courteous and professional. They set to work on what she asked them to do, and they worked diligently for four hours. The work they completed was done to my mother's satisfaction. They were not able to complete the entire job, but only due to time constraints; the tasks took longer than expected. I am very pleased with Earthwise, and will be calling soon for a second appointment, and will use them if I need work done in my own home.
Description of Work: A large collection of knick-knacks and coffee mugs, in my mother's house, had become extremely dust- and film-covered. The items were taken down, cleaned and replaced.

I will hire them again-possibly monthly. Already asked for a quote for a move-out for my son's apartment when he moves his wife to Ft Bragg in a few weeks. Description of Work: The fall cleaning special. I tried a company two weeks before trying earthwise and the other company missed a lot of detail and my house did not even smell clean after they left. Earthwise showed up on time. Did a wonderful job cleaning my hickory and bamboo floors and the whole house smelled wonderful. Everything was professionally dusted, wiped, sanitized, swept, etc. She even cleaned my dish drain, added bonus cause I hate cleaning that thing!

+ -1 moreI have scheduled with Earthwise cleaning for every-other week cleaning. Michele was very responsive to both email and to phone calls and very friendly. I appreciate the fact that I get email reminders the week that I am scheduled for cleaning - life gets so busy that I need this! The lady who cleans (Frances) is extremely friendly, trustworthy and does a wonderful job. I love walking into a fresh-cleaned house that doesn't have that chemical smell. I am very happy with everything from this company. I did give them a B for promptness, but that is only because they give me a time in the email reminder. If I didn't have that, I wouldn't even know that there was a set time for cleaning. I just care that the house is cleaned on my specific day, not so much what time, so for me that is really a non-issue.
Description of Work: I have scheduled every-other-week cleaning for a 3-bed, 2 bath house. All carpets are vacuumed, beds straitened, ceiling fans cleaned, hard floors mopped, all surfaces in the bathrooms cleaned, and the kitchen cleaned/organized.

+ -1 moreGreat overall experience setting this up. The owner was very responsive to e-mails. I received multiple e-mails from the company stating when they would be arriving at my residence. Krisi arrived at 0859 and was done at 1238. I told her what I needed and she got right to work. After she stated she was done I had to have her redo the upstairs floor. It's possible that she could have tracked the dirt from downstairs and I also had her redo the kitchen stove and sink. She was done pretty quick downstairs and at first glance it looked like she did nothing. The living room looked as I left it. The point is she wiped down the TV stand and didn't straighten up anything in the living room thus meaning she didn't dust the blinds since they are behind the couch.(there is space to walk behind the couch) As a matter of fact none of the blinds were cleaned downstairs. The upstairs blinds were cleaned. Maybe she forgot. She also didn't clean the floors under the Kitchen table. Could she not have moved the chairs to get under there or is that not part of the deal......I also think she forgot the Laundry room due to the floor still being dirty. I should have looked more thoroughly before she left and that is my fault but when she told me she was done, she already had her equipment outside. I think she was in a rush but am not certain. You would think she would ask if everything is o.k. before hauling her equipment away. I honestly have a high set of standards so that is why I have given them a B and I think a C is more deserving but...... If this would have cost me $60.00 then I would have been ok but for $121.50 I really expected my house to be immaculate. I was disappointed. If you need someone to go over your house and do a deep cleaning this is not the company to go with. If you need a company to do a quick walk through then this might be the company for you.

The bathrooms were sparkling - my diningroom furniture was shining to a degree I would say it never has in the past - both ceiling fans and all furniture was dustfree. This is the first time I have ever had anyone in to clean my home - it won't be the last! I'm totallypleased with all aspects of the service I received. Michelle was a pleasure to work with.

+ -1 moreOverall very dissatisfied. One of the worst cleaning jobs ever! When I complained to Earthwise, she said she had intended to send 2 people for the job but one of the people couldn't make it. The person she did send was totally overwhelmed. One of the worst things she did was to wipe down the stainless appliances with a sopping wet rag leaving very unsightly water marks.
Description of Work: Earthwise was very prompt in responding to my request for someone to clean my mothers house. She always responded to my emails. However, we were charged a first time, in depth cleaning fee which should have included 2 people. What we got was one person who was totally overwhelmed by the job who couldn't even complete a quick once over. When I complained about the job to Earthwise, she offered to come back and finish up. I don't know what they did when they came back (we had a Dr's appointment and had to leave the door unlocked for them) but nothing looked any different. There was still untouched spots on the floors. Dust still hung on lampshades, toothpaste still remained in the bathroom sink.

A follow up call was made to make sure we were pleased with the service. Based on the quick response we decided to use them on a bi-weekly basis.
