I was very disappointed, I had hoped they would be a good option for help cleaning my home with non-toxic cleaners. Because they never returned my call (and I really got the sense they hung up on me when I initially called), I cannot offer any comment on the quality of their work.

Seriously? The main business line is a cell phone so I can answer the phone all of the time - pretty much 24/7. Which many of our customers can vouch for. I've even returned texts in the middle of the night. Sometimes the phone does drop a call in the middle of the conversation. I always call back. Most likely I called back and she didn't answer. I can't respond to whether or not a voice mail was even left on June 4th?? Over 3 month ago.

Cleaning work was pretty good. Arrived on time and finished very quickly. When we provided feedback on some things that were missed or could have been done a little better, the associate was very receptive to our feedback. She was a friendly and warm person and gave our dog all types of special attention; that was appreciated. Unfortunately, the management of the company needs some lessons on professionalism and customer service. After the first visit and payment, I requested an invoice for each visit so I could set it up on my bank's bill pay and track via Quicken. An invoice was sent for the second visit and paid. For some reason, the owner decided to stop sending invoices because, as I later found out, she just "doesn't do that for her clients". It would have been nice to know that when I requested the original invoice! When the owner sent me an email for me to 'check my records' on payment, I was a little surprised when I realized it had been three visits without payment. I sent back an acknowledgement that payment was behind but I was also expecting an invoice as originally requested. Eight emails later, it was very evident that the owner had no interest in keeping us as clients. Her communication is rude and condescending. Had it not been for the owner's complete lack of client service and professionalism, we would have let this slip up on both our parts to go without incident.

I contacted this customer regarding payment. I wanted to make sure we were on the same page when I discovered we hadn't been receiving payment for the cleanings. Our company typically is paid upon completion of service. If someone wants to use a bill pay service we still expect payment within a few days of service. I don't think this request is unreasonable. The lack of payment in this case was blamed on a lack of invoice which was requested to "set up" bill payment. Another invoice was never requested. The amount is the same each visit. This customer, who claimed has 3 professionals living in this one household, received email reminders each week pertaining to our visit and who came home to a clean house every other Friday never inquired about payment. We have quite a few customers who use bill payment and send a check at the time of service. I stated the lack of payment and our payment polices to this customer via email. If he thinks it was condescending, I'm sorry. How long were we supposed to continue offering service with no ;payment?

I purchased Angie's big deal $59. (regular prices are beyond my budget so I won't be able to use them often if at all).I could not get the day I wanted (Thursday or Friday) but it worked out ok,. Email reminder was nice (got 3 of them) Arrived on time and got right to work. Did everything I asked very quickly. Actually got more done than I expected in just 2 hours.Very pleased with the service I received.

I called to schedule an appointment for a move out cleaning and was happy to know that their open appointment dates were very flexible with my moving schedule. I was very pleased with Jeannie who came out to clean my apartment. She did an amazing and thorough job and covered everything. She was a lifesaver since we were so tired from the move I don't think I would have had enough energy to complete the cleaning on time. I love the fact that they use earth friendly cleaners and their price is great too well worth the $129. Great job overall and I will recommend them to friends and use again if I need cleaning services.

A great experience, she came right in and started working after I described the most important areas that we wanted to be cleaned. She worked from the Master bathroom out to the rest of the house, cleaning and dusting as she went. She spent nearly four hours working. When she was done, the house looked great. The bathroom tubs were pure white again (or as near as it gets), dust was hard to find, the stainless steel fridge was fingerprint free, and the tile floors squeaked. Granted our house was not in terrible condition to begin with (as we sweep and do light cleaning ourselves), but for homeowners that don't enjoy scrubbing, dusting, or mopping, you'll find this service valuable.

They were pretty good, and they did a very good job. They charged a pretty good price for the condition the place was left in. There really wasn’t much to dislike, they showed up on time, and they worked a lot longer than I thought they would. They stayed till everything was clean, as long as it took, and that’s only sensible I suppose. They went back and did a couple of things twice that didn’t come out so good the first time. I was impressed with their attention to detail and their willingness to do something a second time in order to achieve the desired results. They were very good, and their price was very reasonable. I don’t have a lot of experience with cleaning companies, but I thought that they were very good on price. They were very friendly, very courteous, and very professional.

WOW! What a lifesaver! I chose to contact the company based on reviews here on AL. My family travels often so after a long time away my home needed to be "touched up" before my husband arrived. I thought it only needed a few things, but as I began to tackle the task I realized the job was bigger than I expected. That is when I contacted Michelle at Earthwise. I had a definite time crunch to get the house finished and she was able to work me in for an estimate within 24 hrs. When she came- on time- she was through and professional in her assessment of the job and through the course of our conversation she suggested that the house wasn't dirty, so much as it just needed a little organization. She then told me she had an employee that would be perfect for that! She sent an ANGEL named Lolly who came by and in the course of a morning we were able to work to get the place together so that when the "cleaning crew" came they could get their job done quicker and more efficiently. I am EXTREMELY pleased with not only the results, but the quality of the people Earthwise sent to my home. I have recommended them to family and friends and I will be using them in the future!
Description of Work: Earthwise came in and helped me organize my master suite, and bathroom. they were open to help with the kitchen, play room and any other part of the house as well. The people who came to organize were a mother daughter team and they really knew their stuff. they helped me decide what my ultimate household goal was then coached me through so we could get there. we decluttered and put what was left in order, they even dropped off my things to donate! Well done! The second part of what I needed was an actual house cleaning. The sent a second employee on a different day, as that is what my schedule required and she was AMAIZING as well. She cleaned the rooms I needed, top to bottom including vacuuming and wiping the baseboards. All of the people whom I interested with from Earthwise were so personable! I would have them back anytime!

I have waited to write this review because I wanted to be as fair as possible. Now that some time has elapsed since my involvement with Earthwise, I think I can say that Michelle McKenna is extremely professional and responsive, but that the quality of her employees' work (especially one of the two who worked at our home) is poor. It is because of Ms. McKenna's professionalism that I tried to continue doing business with Earthwise for weeks in spite of being dissatisfied with the services I was receiving. I felt that if I communicated my expectations clearly, we would establish a relationship & routine and I would eventually be happy with the work. Unfortunately, that did not happen and instead I was inconvenienced and some of our property was damaged as a result.The first employee that came to clean did a fairly good job, with some minor areas for improvement (dust and lint on the floors, missed fingerprints on the appliances, dried food left in the sink, etc.) The big problem was a pair of my husband's shorts that were ruined in the laundry. Bleach had obviously been spilled on them. Michelle was very responsive when I brought this to her attention (by emailing a photograph), and after a week or so, offered to pay for the shorts. The employee was uncomfortable with my feedback about her work, so Michelle put another of her employees on our job. This next employee had a very difficult time finding our house and operating our alarm code. In the three times she came to our home, my husband or I had to leave work every time to help her gain access to our home. Once she was trying to get the garage door opener from the wrong house (down the street.) Another time she triggered the alarm and the police were dispatched. Another time she could not operate the garage door opener. Once she dropped her check in the middle of our street and I discovered it as I was getting my mail. She left her belongings (vaccuum, extension cords, cleaning supplies, brooms) almost every week. The last and most problematic thing involved damage to our laminate flooring when she spilled some sort of cleaning solution. We had to have the whole upstairs hallway flooring replaced because of the damage. Michelle was again very responsive, sharing her insurance information with us so we could have an adjustor assess the damage. However, I feel that on some level Michelle did not believe her employee caused this damage. I can only say that the people who replaced the floor could see/smell the cleaning solution that penetrated the flooring material. It was a huge hassle and totally unnecessary. Overall my husband and I spent hours dealing with this stuff (communicating with Michelle about the house, helping the housekeeper get in to the house, dealing with the damage caused by said housekeeper, etc.) I have no doubt that Michelle will have an explanation for each and every one of these complaints, and that she will suggest that my demands were totally unreasonable and that there was no way to please me. On the contrary, I feel that I made every effort to work with the people Michelle sent to my home, to patiently and respectfully share my expectations, and that I was more than understanding when things went wrong. The reason I would not recommend this company is because I feel that your experience will only be as good as the staff person who is dispatched to clean your home. Michelle is a professional, but some of her employees simply are not. She needs to be mindful of that and make changes in order to maintain the good reputation of Earthwise.

The first cleaner I sent to this house (Mayra) refused to go back. She stated that the member stressed her out and that she couldn't work there anymore, which I did tell the member. There were constant complaints all of the time even a small piece of lint on the hardwood floors was a huge issue. There were alarm problems...we weren't told that after you set the alarm you could only use one door to exit....alarm went off. One time the garage door opener didn't work....even after we changed the batteries ourselves. As far as the flooring – we have never had an issue like this before. When the member came home from work she initially sent an email saying how wonderful her home looked. Five hours later in the evening there was an issue. This damaged floor is also right along the hallway outside her children’s bathroom. The floor is cleaned weekly…I’m sure it smelled like cleaner. Nevertheless, I did call my insurance company and her floor was repaired for her. I think for her to judge my entire staff and my company is totally uncalled for. Our reviews on Angie's List and Yahoo prove otherwise. Myself and my staff all strive to provide the best customer service possible. We know that we can have 50 great reviews from our customers and one customer like this can hurt us. I bent over backwards and forwards for the member because she seemed like a really nice person. Sometimes even that just isn’t enough. I worked with her and resolved every issue and then some. Everything that happened was so out of the ordinary and flukey; like there was a black cloud over this house every time we went. Things that I have never experienced in three years all happened in 2 months at this home.

Overall, I am not very pleased.
Description of Work: I hired them to do one apartment and one downstairs of a house. The apartment I mentioned to lady that one of the drawers in kitchen was not clean. She cleaned it then I noticed alot of the kitchen cabinets were not cleaned at all and had roach droppings still in them after they left. The house they did a good job but there was a little miscommunication as the owner told me that she charges $25 more to clean a refrigerator. I was not given a receipt of any kind by the cleaning ladies. I called twice to the owner for her to email me a separate receipt for each job but as of yet I have not received any receipts. At first the complete job was 250 but she reduced it down to 216.00 after talking to owner, to her credit.

Part of a move out cleaning is to clean all the cabinets. In our communications regarding a receipt roach droppings were never mentioned. If there are roaches, droppings are going to happen even if the cabinets were cleaned. There was a total miscommunication with this client. As far as cleaning the house, we were first contacted to clean the downstairs of a house that wasn't occupied much, although we were told that the bathroom was in very bad shape. I quoted him $80 for just the downstairs. Later I was contacted by a brother asking to change beds and to clean the upstairs and then another call to clean the inside of the refrigerator. Once a price is quoted for a certain job, add-ons will be extra. I spoke to this member quite a few times throughout the day. I tried to work with them as much as possible with the price for the extra services they were requesting. We cleaned a 2 bedroom apartment move-out and most of a 2 story,3 bedroom house including sheets and the inside of the refrigerator for $216 on a Saturday. Honestly, I don't know what else we could have done.

Overall, Earthwise helped me get my house back in order where I needed their help. We had weekly appointments that we were able to eventually spread out to bi-weekly and now will likely settle on either monthly or semi-weekly. They helped us get parts of the house to where we could maintain it better.

I contacted Earthwise (Michelle) when we first moved into town in August of 2011 and she was very responsive to my request for information on pricing and scheduling. I don't remember the exact price I paid for the initial cleaning of the home we were renting at the time but it was very reasonable. I know that I had Ligia come to my home every two weeks and she did a great job cleaning the house. If I had any problems, I just mentioned it to Ligia and it was corrected. I paid $85 every two weeks for the cleaning. When we were ready to move out of the home in May I had them come out to do a complete move out cleaning of the house. The move out cleaning was $145 and Michelle informed me that Ligia was leaving the company due to her moving to Florida. Michelle sent two other young ladies out to clean the house for the move out and they did a good job. I called Michelle and told her that one of the shower heads was damaged and she told me to just replace it and let her know how much it cost and she would credit me that on the next cleaning at our new home. I have not had them out to clean the new place yet because it still has boxes around on the floor but we will be scheduling them to come out soon.

I use Earthwise normally to clean a portion of my house every two weeks. Michelle and her employees are pleasant and do a good job. I recently moved from a larger home to a smaller one and wanted to make sure it was left clean for the new owners. Michelle sent Lu and Jessica to do the work. While they showed up a little later than we initially discussed, the timing was better for all of us. When they arrived, they started working immediately, even though I was still removing items from the home. They moved some of the small items to one side of the rooms and even helped me carry a few things downstairs, for which I'm very grateful. They spent several hours deep cleaning the house, including the oven and baseboards. I hired a carpet cleaning company to do the carpets, but they vacuumed lightly in preparation. They were friendly, courteous (Jessica left to go to the drugstore and brought me back a drink) and hard-working. I was proud to turn the house over to the new owners in the condition that they left it. Lu and Jessica are wonderful! Thanks Michelle and your great employees.

Housekeeping Spring Cleaning (deep-clean)Special was scheduled for Friday, June 1, 2012. The crew arrived timely; however, the work was subpar with several areas left uncleaned. A call to the owner was responded to immediately, with the crew returning ASAP -- again, however, they did not resolve all the issues. A subsequent call, this same day, to the owner was responded to, in person, by the owner herself. Upon arrival, she noted that this is NOT her standard or the quality of service she would expect. She rescheduled a complete cleaning the following week, at no charge, which was completed on Thursday, June 7, 2012, in a very acceptable manner. Initially, I was disappointed with the service provided and felt this was yet another housecleaning company that skimped and did not do their best work without on-site supervision; however, the owner's responsiveness and determination to meet my expectations and uphold her own company standards puts Earthwise in a category far above others in their industry.

I was excited to have my home cleaned and exchanged a number of emails with Mrs. McKenna. The replies to my emails were FAST, which made me feel valued. The cleaning ladies arrived on time, which is why I give them an "A" for punctuality. The cleaning was ok, my island was sticky (which was corrected once I pointed this out). I also noticed the bathroom floor was still dirty, which was not corrected when I pointed this out, neither was the dirty shower floor. The entrance to my home had dirt and little pebbles left from the girl's vacuum, which I vacuumed when they left. I emailed Mrs. McKenna with this information and it seemed as though I offended her because not only did she imply that it was my fault my home wasn't cleaned correctly (stating that if I had pointed out what was missed that it would have been corrected), but also that if I had wanted the ladies to do a better job that it would have cost more considering I was being charged by the hour. The ladies were in my home for 3 hours which I was being charged $180 for, I gave them $200 because I only had two hundred dollar bills. I was told they didn't have change and that I could use this as credit for next time. As you can imagine after the email I sent to Mrs. Mckenna talking about the areas that were missed in my home (I actually even asked for a quote to get my home done again because not only do I have credit, but I like to give second chances) Mrs. McKenna has failed to reply to my emails. I feel as though Mrs. McKenna is quite sensitive when it comes to negative reviews, but people are only being honest. This customer continually asks for unrealistic times to clean her home....Friday at 7:00 pm, Saturday at 6:00 am and Saturday at 6:00 pm. I have sent her responses on two separate occasions that I do not require my girls to work a 6 day work week. Saturdays are optional if they want to work. I did ask the same two girls who cleaned her house if they wanted to work next Saturday. They rearranged their personal schedules and told me late yesterday that they could both work. Now I'm starting to wonder if Member meant this Saturday (today) or next Saturday the 26th. I thought she meant the 26th. All I can do is include our emails from this week that I have copied and pasted below: Michelle, I would like the entire house do e starting next Saturday. How my h would this be? I would also like the living room carpet shampooed This next time. I would like focus on walls and molding ( I have little ones who like to dirty the walls). It seems as though this job had a 3 hour time frame for 2 girls. It's difficult to clean an entire area within a time frame that is not sufficient. Things will be missed as we are rushing trying to complete the entire job in a shorter amount of time. I based my decision of hourly on the following email from Member... I'm a single mom who started this business by herself 3 years ago. I live this company 7 days a week. Of course I take every review personally, good or bad. The reviews are very beneficial.
