O'Krent's Abbey Flooring Center

We purchased hardwood and ceramic flooring. From the very beginning the communication started when the company called us to provide the date the material was ready to be delivered. Soon after the first and second contractor called us to inform the time they would arrive to start the job. The contractors removed and disposed of existing carpet, and or vinyl flooring, corner-round trim and required plumbing hardware. They were careful not to damage the walls or scratch the furniture as it was being moved. Each crew cleaned up at the end of the day to ensure there was no mess left behind. Both the ceramic floor and the hardwood flooring contractors worked tirelessly to complete the job within five days. What we liked about the entire process was the punctuality, cleanliness, professionalism and communication between the company, its employees and the customer.

The sales people were very good to deal with. They were very knowledgeable, and they helped us make our decisions. The actual installers were not only skilled installers, but they had really good customer relation skills. They worked around our needs during the install. They did the best they could to minimize the disruption. They were very patient about any questions we had. It was just overall a very good experience. We plan to hire them again to do something else.

They did a really good job. I would definitely recommend them! They also followed up to make sure we were satisfied.

Ronnie from start to finish was personable, timely, professional, flexible, and always dedicated to attention to detail. He took his craftsmanship/expertise very seriously! Ronnie was an excellent role model for his two polite sons who worked with him.

From the sales person (Linda) to the installers, they all did a superb job. Very professional in all aspects from my initial visit to their showroom, to the actual install....couldn't ask for a better experience. Still have a couple more rooms to do, and you can bet that I will be using O'Krent

The existing wood floor was all removed (1200 sq ft) and replaced with all new wood floor. Carpet was removed and replaced in the master bedroom, closet and in two other closets. In the kitchen, a new tile backsplash was installed that was picked out by myself and my wife. The quality of the new wood floor is top-notch. The crews used by O'Krent's to install wood floors are extremely good at what they do and it shows. Same for the carpet installation. The tile backsplash in the kitchen looks great and I enjoyed having the two tile backsplash installers in my house doing the job, they were pleasant, paient with us when we did not like the way it was turning out and had them stop and remove what they had started. Our Flooring Sales Specialist at O'Krent's, Kelly Eikel, is highly professional and a joy to work with. We appreciated very much her experience and knowledge. One area of improvement that O'Krent's needs to work on is their lack of experience with and seeming unwillingness to work with insurance companies on a homeowner's claim job such as mine. They had absolutely no desire to work with mortgage escrow accounts, insurance companies, and help me with the difficulties that they present to the homeowners, nor did they care. This was very bad and almost caused me to take my business elsewhere. But overall, they are so good at what they do that I can highly recomment O'Krent's to others.

We have used O'Krent's for two major jobs. We decided to hire them again for the tile work because they had previously installed laminate wood in the dining and kitchen areas, carpeting in the living and family areas, and we were pleased with that job. We had one unfortunate experience with a sales contact at O'Krent's who did not keep an appointment to bring samples and review our property. However, we felt O'Krent would do the work we needed done in spite of this stumble, so re-contacted them later, got a different sales representative, and everything went smoothly from there on. The work was done in the time agreed upon and the workers were very professional in the way they removed the carpeting, prepared the cement flooring, and installed the tiles. The supervisor came to to the house, reviewed the work, and made sure we were satisfied with how the job was going. The work crew of two men cleaned up everything appropriately when finished. At the end of the process, the tiled floor more than met our expectations. We have had the flooring for a year and it continues to satisfy us. We have had no problems and plenty of compliments.

We have had them come back since and do some more finishing touches. We liked the job that they did.

O'Krent is great! I have always used them for carpeting and other flooring. We moved into a new house in January of 2012 and of course O'Krent was my first choice to help with the remodel. The first project was to lay tile on the back patio. We found a beautiful porcelain tile that looks just like slate. Love it! We purchased the tile for the bathroom remodel from them also. O'Krent removed tile from the entry and dining room and leveled the floor (was a lot of work!). We purchased laminate flooring from them and they installed it in the entire house. It looks fantastic! They do such a great job, are on time, and professional. The job went very smooth. I highly recommend O'Krent.

Linda Mason spend about an hour with me helping me choose a new hardwood floor. I had water damage and have to get all new floors so I was very apprehensive about choosing another product. She is extremely knowledgeable on how to install and which is the best product for my needs. I'm in the process of deciding on a floor but I would highly recommend Linda.

Well, the appointment was made. My husband and I took off from work to meet the sales lady. She was supposed to bring samples for us to look at. She shows up without any samples. Then she also did not have anything to measure with. Next, she tells me that she has to go take care of her animal that is sick. We just kind of looked at each other. What could we do. She said that she was at work that morning for a meeting. Then she said that she really was off and would be back to work in the afternoon. Alrighty then, so she takes off promising that she would get back to us to do measuring and bring samples. We heard from her several days later, maybe even weeks later to ask if we had selected any tile? I really don't know what to say about all of this. It appears a very strange way to do business. We are animal lovers and rescuers so we know the importance of taking care of pets. However this went overboard in our opinion. None of it makes very much sense to us. The showroom is very nice but we didn't get a sense of customer service from this business at all. The distressing part of this is that we still have not tiled our floors.

O'Krent's Abbey Flooring Center are very good. I'm very satisfied with them. They also installed our carpeting in the past and did a wonderful job. The installer of the tile was very good. I was involved the whole time. He'd come ask me questions, like if I wanted this or that done. He was very good and very focused. It took a little longer than I wanted, because he was the only worker doing it for three days. It took them Wednesday through Saturday to do it. He was very focused on time. They came back in a timely manner after I called them, to re-do a couple of spots that they needed to re-do the grout on. Their prices may be a little higher than others, but they're a larger company, they'll back what they say. My carpet is guaranteed for life.

The carpet was installed by a great team. Professional job! Much better than the last installer I used. The staff at the office was very helpful. The sales person that attended me was not punctual. I replaced 1/2 of the home and am still waiting for her to contact me to see when I want to do the other half. This is not the type of service I expected.

I did not find them pricy at all; they are extremely comparable price with all the shopping I had done. I am very pleased and they did meticulous work. I couldn't have asked for anything better. They will even send the designer out to your house for follow-up and designing a pattern.

Sales staff in their showroom very experienced, knowledgable, and professional. Excellent selection of carpet, prices were about what I expected. Sales person that came to my house was very good. The crew that did the job was very good, obviously very experienced and knew what they were doing. They moved some furniture around the room, and also downstairs. They arrived on time and finished the installation faster than estimated by the sales person. A "no-hassle" experience from start to finish. I wish all contractors worked like this.

The installers came when expected and worked for two days until the job was completed.

After bedroom carpet installation, we discovered the carpet selected was a poor choice. One month later, O'Krent sent installers with a new carpet selection. We felt completely satisfied with the second carpet choice and with O'Krent company.

After receiving an in home estimate the flooring was ordered. A few days later we were informed that the flooring had arrived and the installation was scheduled. The installers arrived a few days later, at the scheduled time, and work was begun. The old flooring was removed and the area was prepared for the new flooring. There was an area where the concrete slab had to be repaired. This was done and the whole area was prepared for the new flooring. It was installed and looks great. All moulding was reinstalled and looks like it had never been disturbed. New metal stripping was installed where the vinyl meets carpet and looks as though it had never been disturbed. Overall we are very satisfied with the work performed.

I found a laminate I wanted to see on the internet and went to OKrent's. My saleslady, Lisa, showed me the sample and some others to compare. I was able to take good sized samples home in order to make my decision. Lisa measured my house and gave me a quote. I decided to go with OKrent's. The quote was for just about 7,100.00. It was a bit more than I had expected. I thought the installation was high, but when I saw the amount of work the installers did, I think they earned their pay. They did quite a lot of leveling which I don't believe would have been done by the lower priced installers. My floor looks great and it feels great underfoot. Even though the price was a bit higher than I wanted, I got what I paid for. Great looking floor - professional installation- no big mess for me to clean up! .
