Monique Bordelon

Awesome! We were convinced that we wanted to move from Stone Oak to Garden Ridge to escape suburbia. We luckily asked Monique where she would suggest living if we hadn't told her we wanted Garden Ridge. She suggested looking in rural Bexar county just north of where we were living. We found a house that met all our requirements without having to change shopping, commute, or our church. In addition, Monique sold our existing house for full price with only a day and a half on the market. She staged our house and made it look like a model home. She charged standard realtor's commissions for both sales.

Monique is an incredibly gifted and knowledgeable real estate agent who was invaluable in helping us sell our home of 23 years. She was very aggressive (in a positive way) pricing our home and ended up netting us $13,500 more than any other home in our neighborhood had sold for, even though our house was 400 square feet smaller than some in the neighborhood. She gave us very helpful tips for staging our home and getting it ready for the market, and the professional photos she posted of our home got us tremendous traffic, which is rare in the month of August, when everyone is getting ready for school. She followed up with countless people who viewed our home and was courteous, but firm with those who wanted to make a low-ball offer. The buyers were using VA financing and there was concern about a low appraisal, but Monique compiled a list of all the improvements we had made to the property and personally met with the appraiser to outline reasons our home should be appraised that high. The appraisal came out right to the dollar of the amount that was offered! Monique was patient with us as we searched for a new home and gave us valuable input on various neighborhoods. When we located a home to buy, she helped us successfully navigate some challenging situations. (The buyer at one point had second thoughts about selling, then did not want to make repairs noted by the inspector, then wanted to take her water softener with her even though it was listed in the purchase contract.) Monique brought us moving boxes that another client had used and followed up with us innumerable times to ensure that everything was going smoothly. She even gave us two thank you gifts (for the sale of one home and purchase of another), as well as a Christmas gift several months after we had moved! We were incredibly impressed with Monique's professionalism (she is a former TV news reporter) and highly recommend her to anyone considering selling or buying a home.
