LOWE'S

My father is a disabled veteran and LOVES Lowe’s — or used to. Last Monday, July 3rd, he was treated horribly! He went to return an item that had not been used, but the CSR, “Joe” thought otherwise and pretty much called my dad a liar multiple times before WALKING OFF AND DISMISSING MY FATHER. Joe told a young lady, “Alexis”, to call someone else to see if they would process the return because he wouldn’t — we barked this as he was walking off! He left my dad there confused and belittled. The person who was called approved the return over the phone, so what was the big deal?? Now, my dad has had a stroke and has trouble getting thoughts out when flustered and stressed so he couldn’t speak up at the time. When he did collect himself he asked the young lady for Joe’s last name and she said she didn’t know it and refused to give him the number to issue a formal complaint. IS THIS HOW LOWE’S TREATS VETERANS WHO ARE SENIOR CITIZENS? OR, IS IT JUST RESERVED FOR PEOPLE WITH APPARENT DISABILITIES? My dad was crestfallen because he loved to go to Lowe’s — specifically this Westover Marketplace location. When we could get him out of the house, it had to include a trip to that particular store. He would say that everyone was so nice there and he loved talking to the attendants in the aisles — that they were so helpful. He also loved the respect that the company gave to veterans. Thanks Joe and Lowe’s for ruining that for him. Thanks for proving to him that all your nice pro-veteran marketing is just a ploy to get dollars and there is no heart behind those sentiments. I truly hope that the actual general manager reaches out to us for this and another concern related to this incident that does not need to be made public. Or just give me the number to the corporate complaints office. I am sure they want to hear how their SW Loop 410 location is espousing their company’s values!

Originally Lowe's ordered in error the wrong color of carpet. The carpet had to be re-ordered and once we got the right carpet it was installed and they did an excellent job.

Home Depot does a better job in store than Lowe’s does. I would use them again only if I cannot find it in Home Depot.

It went really well. They were wonderful; the stuff that came in was on time. They work with me; they help me pick out the best product for the house if I tell them what I want and they are really wonderful about picking out things like faucets that have no problems. I was really happy with them. I spend half my money on Lowe's.

We used Lowe's for a lot of different things. The fencing crew is going to have to come back because the gate they installed isn't working. I notified yesterday and I expect them here within a couple of days. When you buy a major appliance from them, the power cord is not included, in most cases. They know that when they come out to deliver and the have cords in their card that they'll sell to you. The power cords run from $20.00 to $40.00 a piece, depending on which appliance it is. That's a shock, when you think you had purchased a refrigerator at $1,200.00 to find out that it's really $1,240.00. No one informs you of that when you order the appliance.

I have always been impressed with them. The staff has always been really good.

They are more organized and get some decent help.

I CALLED LOWE'S ONE AFTERNOON AND THE REPAIRMAN WAS THERE THE NEXT DAY BY 7:30 AM. THE WORK WAS DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER. IT WAS VERY EFFICIENT AND I HAVE NOT HAD ANY TROUBLE WITH THE DISHWASHER SINCE.
