VERY EXPENSIVE Water heater broke and was leaking through my walls. I had to leave town in two days so I was desperate to get a new one installed ASAP. I called Goettl because I figured they were a big company and could probably do the job right away at a good price. The lowest price water heater the plumber could show me was over $5000! He said there was nothing cheaper. I had to get this done fast so I reluctantly agreed. In spite of having a water softener that is only a few years old, the Goettl plumber said he tested my water and that it was very hard. He then proceeded to show me some water softeners that I could buy, which started at $5000. (I passed on that offer - and later had my water softener company retest my water. They assured me there was no hardness present!) During the installation of the water heater, the Goettl plumber brought in some guys from QD Restorations to dry up the water that may have seeped under the vanity in my bathroom and the carpet. The QD Representative Sal, talked a mile a minute saying that it would be about $4000 to bring in the drying fans and let them run a few days to dry out the area (using my electricity of course). I still was not sure what my insurance would cover but figured I did not have a choice so I agreed. Later, WITHOUT asking permission they started cutting up the carpeting in the adjacent bedroom because it got wet. I had thought we may have been able to lift the carpet off the floor and allow it to dry. So, now the whole room needs to be re-carpeted and I am not sure what my insurance will cover. Yes, they did a good job installing the water heater but I still can nott believe what it cost.

Steve M. at Goettl was great! He made all necessary repairs and adjustments. He wasn't quite satisfied and asked if he could come back. Steve M. wanted to make additional adjustments to the ceiling repair, making sure the repair was done properly, to his and Goettl's standards. I was very happy with the work completed by Steve M. The 4 stars is due to inflation. My 2-star, 3-ton unit with duct cleaning cost me $18k. Ten years ago the cost to install was $10k. I am very, very happy with the service Goettl has provided to me and hopefully this Amana will last longer than than the previous one. As a side note, Elmers came out here to service my unit, charged me $932 for a servicing, and unbeknown to me, cut a hole in the Plenim (spelling?) but did not seal it back!! So, dust, dirt, microbes, and anything else that was flying around in my attic went into the plenim and into my vents and ruined the coil and just about everything else. We were breathing all that stuff for months! We called Goettl out because the unit was not cooling properly. Imagine my surprise when they told me what happened by the previous AC company. To fix I it - $9k plus. Elmers is NOT returning my calls. I will have Goettl back but NEVER use Elmers AC. Very incompetent!

They left our new ducts with leaks and a very long run to our bathroom, which now does not cool off. Do not let them sell you a duct-for-duct replacement. 99 times out of 100, your system needs to be re-engineered and your ducts resized. They will fight tooth and nail to not fix their mistakes. They are not to be trusted. Good people on the HVAC side: Justin, Stephen, Mike, and Martin Bad people on the HVAC side: Ignacio Hernandez, Matthew Mendoza.
