Called for service and they made appointment for next day and came when scheduled. did the job very quickly and correctly with no problems. Cost was as they told us it would be but seems expensive for the approximately one hour it took to do the job.

We were not pleased with the services provided by Christianson Plumbing. They got it working but the irrigation rudders are coming back today to fix that same zone so whatever they fixed they did not fix well. I asked them to do additional minor things like raising sprinkler heads but they did not have any parts on the trucks so it was clear to me that whoever showed up was not a certified irrigation specialist. This was essentially of no help to me other than reconnecting a grease connector with some wires. The reason I called them was because they had they contract to put in the irrigation system in this house. So i thought who better to go to than the experts so I called them in but frankly I was not satisfied. I have not used them for anything besides that.

The house wasn't heating properly, so I called and quot;Company B,and quot; a heating and air company that had been out previously. The tech went into the attic to check what I don't know, because he didn't even remove the cover to the air handler! (I was up there with him the whole time.) Then he attached gauges to the condenser outside and told me it was low on refrigerant, and that the coil might have a leak. He said the cost to replace the coil would be $2,000, and said something else could go wrong, pushing me to replace the whole system. He asked a few times if I wanted to have someone out to give me a cost on replacing the system, but I declined, as he was not even sure it was the coil. Mulling it over a bit, I thought it would be smart to get a 2nd opinion. I called Christianson the next day, and they were out pretty quickly. Robert was the tech, and I was so impressed with the thoroughness of his troubleshooting. Because he took the time he did, 2 flashing lights in the condenser eventually came on, telling him exactly what was wrong: it was the defrost control board. The defective part and labor came to a total of $303, and and quot;Company Band quot; wanted to replace the whole system! Will I use Christianson in the future and recommend them? You bet! By the way, Robert said the refrigerant's level was exactly what it should be, using what appeared to be the same 2 gauges and quot;Company Band quot; used. Of course, I felt lied to about the level of refrigerant. Company B's diagnostic charge was $99; Christianson's, $69. Thank you, Robert, for putting my mind at ease. Not once did Robert suggest replacing the whole system.

We called Christianson, along with two other companies, to come out and give us a free estimate for repairing/replacing our AC system. The tech came out and diagnosed the problem and was going to give us an estimate but also wanted to charge us for diagnosing the problem. On Christianson's Angie's List page it says and quot;Free Estimates = Yesand quot;. Apparently they want to charge you to identify the problem and it isn't considered part of giving an estimate. How can a company give you an estimate without diagnosing the problem up front? We called their office to speak to the manager to tell him when we made the appointment we were not told about the diagnostic fee, we were expecting a free estimate as posted on Angie's List. At this time their technician came back inside our house and told us he just got off the phone with his manager and that they considered us and quot;people who want to get something for freeand quot; and said they would waive the fee. Then he stormed out of our house and slammed our door. He was leaving in such a hurry that he was forgetting his tools outside by our unit. He didn't even put the unit back together. We didn't expect this behavior from a company with an and quot;Aand quot; rating on Angie's List and also well recommended from our HOA mail list group. Just an FYI when you deal with them. Clarify what their free estimate covers and that there won't be any hidden charges.

One day, a massive, spraying leak, developed all of a sudden in the water supply above the water heater. Since the heater is in the attic, it flooded the attic as well as the main floor of the house. Turns out, the leak was caused from a corroded pipe nipple on top of the heater. The pipe nipple is a 4 inch piece of pipe, threaded on both ends. It screws into the top of the water heater during installation. The supply line for the heater screws into the opposite end of the pipe nipple. I was later told by the company who did the installation of the replacement heater that the pipe nipple chosen by Christianson on the original installation, was made of galvanized steel, which was the wrong material. Apparently the fitting on the heater that this part was joined to is made of brass and the dissimilar metals are not compatible. This incompatibility lead to the interior corrosion of the pipe nipple and subsequent failure, resulting in the flooding of my house. I discovered that Christianson did the original heater installation and I called them. I spoke to the president of the company, Mr. Christianson. He listened patiently while I told the story. When I was finished, he told me that there was no building code in Dripping Springs at the time and therefore he considered that the job his company performed, was satisfactory. He would not pay my deductible on my insurance and accepted no fault. Even though I verified that there indeed was no building or plumbing 'code' in Dripping Springs at the time, I also verified with several plumbers that the practice of connecting dissimilar metals in this fashion, was never done and not an accepted practice. Three independent plumbers and a plumbing supply house verified that this should never be done. When I again, politely asked Mr. Christianson if he could help with the costs of returning my house to its original condition he said, 'no' and that I would have to start legal action against him if I wanted any sort of restitution.
Description of Work: Christianson Plumbing did the initial plumbing as a sub-contractor for my house when it was built in 1994. They were working for Peerman Homes who was the builder. I bought the house from the original owner in 1997. Therefore, Christianson also installed the water heater, which is located in the attic. This report is concerns the incorrect materials which were used in the installation of the water heater.

It went extremely well. The pipes in our master bath were banging. We called them to come out to check on them as they had installed them when the house was built. The house was still under the Home Owner's Warranty although our builder had gone bankrupt. Christianson still honored their work on our home. It took several attempts to find out what was causing the problem but they did! We were impressed with their work and especially the fact that they kept coming back until the problem was solved.

The experience went very well. He was professional and had the part on his truck.
Description of Work: The upstairs AC was not cooling. Of course, it was a Friday at 4:00PM at the start of a 3 -day holiday weekend. Called Christianson and scheduled an appt for the following Tues. They would have come out during the weekend for an additional $60 but we opted not to do that. The repairman arrived during the window time frame, diagnosed and fixed the problem in 15 min. It was a failed capacitator. which he replaced.

I liked everything about their service. I called based on looking them up on Angie's List. They kept the date and time of the appointment. The rep that came out was really knowledgable. They looked at the system I had to determine what was really faulty instead of just selling me a new system. We went through the pro's and con's of keeping the old system versus buying the new system. I was impressed with the time that he spent and the amount of information that he was willing to share. The work was done efficienty. The rep showed up while the work was being done, and after the work was done to make sure that I was satisfied with the work. Since then, they have checked in with me to make sure that the system is still what I like.

Christianson was a godsend. My A/C had gone out the night before, and I had contacted another well-known company first for an estimate. They troubleshooted the system for a fee and told me the problem was with an expansion valve. Their initial quote to repair was around $1,400...I about had a stroke. This quote went from that price to around $2,000 because they forgot about having to recharge the system. They left a mess, thinking I would call them back to finish the job. I called my homebuilder's customer service rep to see whether my A/C unit was still covered under my home warranty. I still had over a year left on the manufacturer's 5-year warranty, so the part was covered, but not the labor costs. My homebuilder service rep got me in touch with Alex from Christianson, the installers of my system, who got back with me pretty quickly. Alex was totally shocked at the competitor's quote for replacing a part that he said was a $250 dollar job. It was a no-brainer at this point. Christianson came out and immediately went to work, troubleshooting the system again to make sure the other guy identified the problem. Thankfully, the other guy diagnosed the problem correctly and within 45 minutes the system was up and running again. I had to pay another 69 dollars for the diagnosis of the system, plus the 250 bucks I was quoted on the phone, but it sure beat paying over 2K.

Upstairs AC unit started making unusual sound outside, so turned unit off on Sunday night, 8/28/11. Called Christianson AC Monday AM about 9:00 AM, and made arrangements for service person to come next morning as no time left for scheduling on Monday. Promptly the next morning the company called about 9:30 to inform me the serviceman was on the way. Jeff arrived in about 20 or so minutes, and listened to my description of the creepy sound the unit was making, although the unit had still been cooling (sounded like the heavy breathing in an old horror movie just before the villain strikes!). Jeff was very polite, efficient, professional, and patient, listening to and answering all my questions, in addition to explaining the cause of the problem. While he was here I requested he check out the other AC unit as well, which he did. I might note that we live "way out" in the 360/2222 area, which many repair companies think nothing of charging $50 to $75 for the "service call" alone. Also, we have had Christianson AC service before, which included a new ac unit, which was not the unit serviced.

Bad looking for another company to do business with but what do you expect with a company tied to DR Horton.
Description of Work: Christianson Plumbing installed a water softener in my house. It never worked properly and they were no help. When I finally got a hold of the company they purchased the equipment from they admitted the PCL was improperly programmed from the factory. This company is a sham. Christianson AC company is a sham. I have had problems with my AC from the day I bought my house and Christianson installed my unit. I've called them every year to complain but they never fix anything. Technicians always have a different story and the manager is incompetent and I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. Don’t let the name fool you they have nothing to do with being Christian just a family name no values.

Very good! The 2 young men that came to do the work were very professional. The only complaint is that I had a 2:00 appointment, and I called them at 3:00 to see if they were on their way. The men had been tied up at another job and were very apologetic.
Description of Work: I had a kitchen faucet repaired for leaking. Unfortunately the screw to the faucet handle was stripped. The technician was in a "catch 22" on repairing it. I wanted the leak stopped, but that meant the faucet handle would have to be broken to get to the necessary parts to fix the problem. The tech gave me a discount on the service fee since he had to brake the handle to fix the problem.

We have been happy with them. We spent about $120 on that work. They were the ones that installed the air-conditioning in our house and I don’t know why we drifted away from them and I think it was because they could not come out one time when we had an emergency, so I called someone else. We got involved with another company who told us that we needed a whole new air-conditioning system and found all these things wrong. It was going to cost $40,000 to re-do the whole house and my husband said that it should not be worn out yet. He called back Christianson and they came and actually fixed it for $120 and found that the other company had done somethings to the unit to make it not to work. They cleaned all that up and fixed it for the minimal amount, so we would end up sticking with them. They came right out and had everything working in just a few minutes.

I previously had Aramendia give me a estimate to replace my existing water heater back in May for 1275.00. We've used them in the past and they were good, but can be a bit pricey - so I decided to get a second estimate. I asked the Better Homes show which is on Radio AM 550 and they mentioned that Christianson would do a good job for us. I checked Angies list and there wasn't a recent review on them and the last one was an F. I called anyway and was glad I did as I ended up saving 240.00 and got excellent customer service. The two gentleman that Christianson Plumbing sent out were Pablo and Andy and they were very nice, professional and organized. Their arrival was prompt, they put on shoe covers, drained the existing water heater, got it out of the attic (location the builder selected was less than ideal) and then installed the new one. I don't know how they got it out of that small opening in the attic but they did. Pablo also reconnected the pump we had previously installed by Aramendia, so that we would not have to wait for hot water in the morning. We went with the extended warranty on the water heater bringing it to 10 years, as this is something we do now want to replace again for as long as possible (the previous water heater was the same brand and it lasted 14) The service was great and I would definately call on them again! Also, no trip fee !!

We have tried for close to TWO MONTHS to get an estimate from this company to have a utility sink installed as they did the initial plumbing on our home. They sent two reps out to see the job - one who never said a word and the other who seemed like this was merely an annoyance - and I've called back at least 4 times asking for the estimate. No one has ever called me back and once when I called the man in charge of this department said he didn't know what I was talking about and it was the same man I had talked to the time before when I called! I don't know what it takes to get these people to give us a simple quote but this has been a very frustrating experience and, at this point, we'll look for another contractor. Very disappointing.
