When they schedule a time, they come at that time. So they're very punctual.

They also do air conditioning and heating by we just use them for the plumbing. We have a couple if thing coming up that we might be asking them to come back out.

The service call went horrible. I showed them the cleanout and told them to snake it first and then we would go from there if that did not work. They then told me that it would cost $285 to snake the line regardless of how long it took or if that even fixed the problem. So if it took 5 minutes like I suspect then it would be $285.00. I said they should have told me that they had such a steep price before coming out, and that I would be willing to pay for the actual hours worked and a reasonable house call fee. I said they are welcome to fully diagnose the problem and then provide me a price and guarantee. They got aggressive with their tone and said it is not negotiable that I called them. In my opinion, this company takes advantage of people who need plumbing work.

Responsiveness and the job itself went well. Only problem was the extremely high price.

It went very well. I called on Saturday morning and did not expect that a plumber would make it to my house that day. I was very surprised when I was told that a plumber would be available around noon. I received a phone call 30 minutes before they arrived, just as promised. The guys showed up on time and got right to work. Both gentlemen were very polite, professional, and courteous which is important to me because customer service usually makes or breaks a deal. I was a little shocked at the price (thought it would be about $100 less), but all things considered, I accepted the quote because the work could get done immediately. Maybe I could have saved a few dollars by using a different plumbing company (did not get any other plumbers to answer my phone call on Saturday), but I didn't want to wait until Monday or later to get the job done. I sure do appreciate the great customer service and the job they did. I recommend Aramendia plumbing and will definitely call them again when I need a plumbing help.

There was a piece of cardboard that somehow got in there which was making a lot of noise. He removed the cardboard, wrote up the receipt and there was no charge.

They did an excellent job. It was $6000 less then Roto Rooter. They were Johnny on the spot. I would recommend them. They do very good work and the cost is good.

They proved dependable and reliable when it comes to plumbing.

It is a plumbing, heating & air company. If it is something that is not covered by my home warranty, we call them out. Whenever I have had them whether it is plumbing, heating or air, they get an A plus. They are very thorough.

Our 20-year-old system that we'd sunk thousands of dollars into over the years finally gave up the ghost on a Friday (of course). Aramendia sent Eric that same day, and he was very professional and courteous. He pointed out several areas where the system should be improved for more efficiency, whether or not we chose his company to do the work. He gave us two quotes and we chose the lower-priced of the two, which was almost the same as our regular company's quote. We were impressed with the obvious knowledge of the field that Eric showed and his willingness to work with us on price and features. When we agreed to the work, the replacement of the system was done on Sunday. The two young men who did the work were very good, friendly, and also quite knowledgeable and professional. They worked in a very stuffy and hot attic all day, told us exactly what they were doing, and asked what we wanted done in several instances. Overall, we were very impressed with them. We hope the system lasts a long time and doesn't turn in to the money trap that the original one was.

Absolutely awful, a complete disaster. I called this company because it had been my go to plumbing company for the nearly nine years I have lived in this house. I have paid several hundreds of dollars to this company during this period. I was given a written estimate for this proposed work--it was over $500.00! I could not believe my ears. I couldn't get this worker out of my house fast enough. I had another company remedy my clog at about 40% of Aramendia's estimate.

Their pricing is right in line with everyone else, if not better, and they always show up when they say they will. They're polite, they're courteous, and they clean up well after themselves. There never seems to be any sort of delay, and they leave just as quickly as they come. I would recommend them to ANYONE that needs plumbing work.

I called the company around 10am today after looking for a plumber who could come out today to fix the problem ASAP. The company had availability, quoted me 12?2pm. At around 11 they called and let me know they were going to be able to send someone out soon?that I was next in line. The workman called to let me know he was on his way at 11:30. He arrived a few minutes later. By 12:10, he'd replaced the valve and neighboring pipes, and I'd paid. So in just over two hours I went from scheduling an appointment to resolving the problem. The plumber was very friendly and professional. He explained the problem and the cause and the fix. We chatted about our pets. He ended up charging me less than the estimate by a significant amount. We chatted about life and pets, too. I'm from a small town and there's a small-town way of doing things that is packed with socialization, straight talk, and fair dealing (because you see these people every day and there's rarely a rush like in big cities). Here in SA, I look for that same type of service, and that's what I got with this company. I'm storing their phone number away for future use if the need arises.

Installation was great, they did most everything in two days. On the third day that they returned to put in a breaker for the smaller unit I was told it was for 60 amps. I knew the wiring was a 40 amp wire. I refused to let them put in the breaker because I considered it a risk to overheating the wire and could become a fire hazard. I then called an electrician and he verified that I was correct. My disappointment was that there was no urgency to resolve this issue and it was not until Nov 4 that someone came to install the correct wiring to the unit. Some of this was miscommunication but for the most part, I felt it was low priority since they had received their money for the job. We have lived in the area for over 20 years and used Aramendia several times in the past, I had always been pleased with their service. At one point when I questioned the safety of a breaker that allowed more than a wire was capable of handling I was told that it is rare for a heater to use over 40 amps anyway. Had I not had my electrician tell me otherwise I might have accepted that and moved on, not realizing that I had put my family and home at risk for an electrical fire from overheating wires. And this is why I am writing this review. Do your homework folks. Know what wiring capacity you have and make sure the breakers match that and that your wiring can accomodate the unit that is installed.. Aramendia is a good company and they do a good job with what they know. The air conditioning folks are not electricians, so they cannot address your concerns on a professional level. Have the facts to back you up so you know what you need and what you get especially if you live in an older home. Will I use Aramendia in the future? You bet, I will. They did address these issues and were intent on having customer satisfaction, which in the end, I was a satisfied customer. I just wish it hadn't been so much trouble to reach that point Feb 16 - continuation- it is less and less likely that I will use this company in the future. After all the electrical issues were addressed the city was called to inspect the AC installation That was Jan 26. The city did not issue a ticket that the job passed inspection because there was a notice of correction. It seems the truss in the roof was cut during the installation and the city suggested that an engineer by called to let us know how to fix as this has impact on the integrity of the roof. I was assured that Aramendia was trying to get an engineer here to inspect but it is now three weeks and no result. Like I said, they got their money, why should they care. Very disappointing from a company I previously had a lot of faith in.

After seeing an ad on KSAT for a special pricing of approximately $3800 for a complete, new HVAC system installed, I called this morning to get an appointment for an estimate on replacing our existing 20+ year old HVAC system which is original to the house. The receptionist was very polite, took my information and said they had a technician who could come out to the house this afternoon to do the inspection and estimate. I mentioned that I saw their ad on KSAT for the special price of $3800 she acknowledged that. Technician arrived at the appointment time and did the inspection. 30 minutes later he gives me the estimate for replacing the system. A good system (12 SEER) for $5600, better system (14 SEER) for $7750, and best system (16 SEER) for $7800. I mentioned the KSAT special again and was told the $5600 was the discounted price. I also informed him that I am an Angie's List member and was there discount for that and was told no, the quote was already discounted. About 30 minutes later, not satisfied with the quote, I called their office again. Receptionist transferred me to someone named Trisha who listened to my issue then said she'd have the technician call me when he returned to the office and took my information. This is not what I expect from a vendor I'm attempting to get information from on why they advertise one price, but they don't honor it when the technician shows up nor to they honor the the customer's Angie's list membership. I will be calling the office back tomorrow and ask to speak with a manager as this is not good customer service.

Technicians arrived after but close to the time window originally quoted. They were asked to look at two toilets that were running. The toilets were not running when the main technician looked at them. He said one toilet needed the flapper replaced and provided no information on the other toilet. When I asked for an estimate he said he needed to replace all the internal tank components for both toilets due to lime scale he saw and one toilet would be $347 and the other about $150. When I told him I only wanted the flappers replaced he thought about it and then said "okay $275". He did not provide any breakdown or write up for labor or parts. He offered no explanation for why one toilet was $347 and the other was $150 - if he was replacing everything inside both tanks. Felt as though the estimate was very subjective or made up. I said no thank you and they left. When I called to make the appointment I asked what the hourly rate was or what the dispatch fee was. They said there wasn't one. Sounded too good to be true. Competitors charging $90 per hour plus parts provided a clear non subjective estimate and were more cost effective

First, the company is available 7 days a week and does not charge extra for weekends. The company called to let me know the attendant was on the way; the employee was helpful, professional, and completely transparent; and best of all they let me know the cost of any an all repair options right up front. I will use them again.

We only have one bathroom, so when our bathtub began to overflow, we called another plumber. They came out and said they would have to dig but could not get camera out until the next day and it would be a few days before they would know what the repairs would be. I called Armamendia, and they sent someone out right away. As soon as he saw we only had one bathroom, the guy had someone dig under the side and clear an area so we could use the bathroom within hours. They also ran a camera, told us what the problem was, and gave us a reasonable price (which did not go up) the next day. All but one person who worked on this huge project were extremely nice. The one guy who wasn't was an inspector or something, who did not speak English and who kick my dog 3 times, but Aramendia resolved that issue.

The scheduler sent a technician out the same day. The technician was on time, polite, worked quickly, and gave advice on preventative maintenance. I will call them again next time.

I have used this company before and was quite satisfied until this visit. I felt the price quoted was excessive. I told the plumber I had seen ads for less than half their price. He became very abrupt and sarcastic and told me "good luck" and left. I found another company and they came out and drained the pipes for $69.00 with a one-year guarantee. I then started checking prices with other companies for the work that was performed and found that they were about twice as expensive for the other work done. guess they definitely lost a customer here.

I have received 2 follow-up calls from the Supervisor, Albert Joseph. The first, to acknowledge the comment placed on this site for the matter regarding "more sales than service". We discussed and reviewed the concerns I listed on this site. He did apologize and asked what he could do to perhaps change the score I assigned to the company on this site. He offered to do a repair free of charge; however, as I expressed, we took care of the plumbing issue ourselves. On the last call, he left me a voice message and expressed that he had spoken with the technician that was in our home and they determined they will need to make changes on their training; however, he described that the technician came from another company prior to joining their team. Mr. Joseph again asked if I would consider changing my score on this site. Although there was no repair by the company on 08-08-15, the experience on that day was no different than I described. I appreciate the follow-up calls by Mr. Joseph and his concern that we did not get the quality service his company should have provided; however, on that day, the service was the worst I have experienced by this company. Again, we are tenured customers and had to resolve our plumbing issues ourselves after waiting for their company all day to help us. If the scores that a customer writes are for a specific activity on a specific date of service are reflective of that specific event, I cannot in good conscience change the score for the event. I may however; considering using this company one time in the future to see whether the service improves from the last event. I believe the intent of this site is to ensure to inform other members of their experiences per event. Since Mr. Joseph did make the time to call and follow-up twice with me within one week, I have moved them up from an "F" to a "D" for effort and follow up only. The actual event was still a terrible experience.

The valve was replaced so far no leaks.
