Steve Black's Vacuums

I went in to Steve Black's Vacuums for the first time this week to see what was wrong with my old Dyson vacuum cleaner and the owner, Steve Black, was so friendly, helpful, informative & polite...and his shop was so orderly and clean... I knew right away that I really liked him! He quickly pinpointed that the problem with my Dyson was a simple short in the 'start' button and he was ready to do the repair for me on the spot. However, after asking Steve about his new Sanitaire vacuums, I opted to get rid of my Dyson I've had trouble with for years and buy a new Sanitaire! He was very fair with me on price (cost was less than a Dyson) and he even threw in a couple of carpet cleaning products free of charge. He's been in the business since the 70's and his son works with him and is just as polite and customer oriented as his dad is! I highly recommend Steve Black's Vacuums for all of your vacuum repair and new vacuum needs... you will be delighted by the friendly service you receive! I won't be going any place else from now on. They are extremely nice and will try and help you find the cheapest solution. They are great. I plan on using them again here very soon to have my shampooer repaired. Their prices are very reasonable. They are very accommodating and helpful. They always help me get the equipment out of my car when I am bringing it in. I never thought I could enjoy a vacuum store so much. They sell the best candles there as well. The employees also will help you in making recommendations for new vacuums, if you may need one.

Excellent service in every aspect of my transaction. I brought my vacuum for repairs and fully intended to drop it off and return at a later date when the repair was made. I was completely surprised when the plug repair was being handled within 1 minute of my arrival in the store. I was back on the road with my repaired vacuum in 10 minutes. You could tell the staff was genuinely glad I was there. I can honestly say my experience at Steve Black's Vacuums was the best customer service I have had in the past 10 years from a retail establishment. I can't thank Steve and his staff enough.

Took my Hoover in on 1/18 and they said they would call me with an estimate. |Called Monday morning and quoted $54.00 for a new roller, tune up and one filter. When I picked it up on 1/25 it looked brand new! |Even tape up the hose where it had split. Very personable owner.

But they got it unclogged and I picked it up the next day. I expected to have to buy a new hose. so they saved me a lot of money and earned a new customer!

I love Steve Black's Vacuums. I have been using them for years and years and would recommend them to anyone. They're honest and provide excellent customer service in a very timely fashion.

Provided us with timely service at a resaonable price. We'll use this business again.

Completely satisfactory

I was delighted by their professionalism and service. Their store was clean and they have reasonable hours for me to drop off the vacuum. Hopefully I won't be need additional repairs any time soon, but if I do they're the people I'd call. Lesson Learned -- vaccuming up LOTS of clumping cat litter is not a good idea with a standard household vacuum cleaner!

Our vacuum cleaner broke and we were unable to adjust the height of the roller brush. Dropped it off on a Tuesday. Salesman was very nice and obviously was familiar with the problem. Apparently our CR Best Buy vacuum is very popular at the shop, which is not a good thing. Picked the vacuum cleaner back up on Thursday. The problem was fixed, the vacuum was all cleaned up and the it had new filters and lights. While picking up my vacuum we discussed several other "better" vacuums at the store - after my asking. Salesman was very knowledgeable. I'll be going back when either (1) my vacuum breaks again or (2) its time to buy a new one! Thanks!

I cannot recommend this company any higher. We have used them twice for minor repairs and they not only perform their work well, they DON”T try to “up sale you”. Both times they showed me a less expensive way to do what we needed done. Great company and even better people!

He didn't give me a chance to even choose him to make a repair. Instead he sent me to Sears, thinking my vacuum was under warranty. He had a valid reason to want to save me money, but my vacuum wasn't under warranty. It was a wasted trip to drive 35 minutes just to be sent away.

I brought my steam mop to Steve Black's for a warranty covered repair. I couldn't have imagined how simple the process would be. I simply had to hand him the steamer. He took care of everything else. He was extremely helpful to the point of putting the steamer in my trunk for me when I picked it up. My steamer works correctly now. I would highly recommend Steve Black's to anyone looking for professional, hassle-free service.

Highly recommended! I was VERY impressed by Steve Black's vacuum! I visited the store twice and spoke with Steve Black as well as his son. They were both very knowledgeable about the products they carry as well as most brands on the market, which they service. When I described the issues with my Eureka SmartVac, they knew instantly what the problem was. I was pleasantly surprised the repair was < $35 for parts and labor. They performed the repair quickly and it has been working great. They were very consultative, told me a few things about my model vac, common service issues, and how to make it last longer. I had also been looking for a small canister vacs for my hard wood floors and drapes. We had a very consultative discussion about my needs and Steve gave me a great deal on a Sanitaire Canister (which was on my shortlist based on prior research). I hadn't revealed to Steve that I had already been researching products because I wanted to see how he approached it. He validated what I had researched and brought to light some things I hadn't considered. To top it off, he gave me a great deal when I decided to purchase. I'll go back to Steve Black's Vacuum for my next repair or purchase. Highly recommended!

The service I experienced far exceeded my expectations. My vacuum was repaired while I waited for less than $50. The whole visit took about 10 minutes.

He is absolutely amazing. The price is right, he does a great job. The location is good, there is plenty of parking. It's convenient if you have to go around lunch time, there is a little burger joint right around the corner. I was very blown away with how professional he was. He saw me struggling with getting the vacuum out of my car and immediately came out to help me.

Our vacuum stopped working, and we found this company on a google search. Not only did they repair our vacumn, but they replaced a handle that was cracked and a cord that had well out lived it's life. Excellent service, and very reasonable. We would use them again.

Our 4 year old Hoover Bag Vacuum rotary brush was not working very well and when engaged, it would barely spin. As such, it was not properly cleaning. I was considering discarding it and just buying a new one for $400.00. I had never used a vacuum repair service before as when my vacuums failed in the past, I just bought a new one. Anyway, I decided to give a repair service a try . I searched Yahoo for a Vacuum repair shop in the Plano, TX area and Steve Black's Vacuum came up. I gave them a try and I cannot say how happy I was with EVERY FACET of my experience with Steve and his company. From the moment I walked in the door to drop off the broken machine I was impressed. Steve was very attentive, his shop is clean and organized and his services are exceptional. He diagnosed the problem, made the repairs and called me (long distance) to let me know that my vacuum was ready to pick up. I am very happy with Steve and his company and I will use them again for service.
