All I can say is I cannot believe that these people are still in business. I needed my double oven fixed because the door wasn't closing tight enough. I scheduled an appt for the 8am - 11am time slot. They didn't show up until 1pm. I think they did call that first time to tell me they were on their way around 11am, or but didn't get there until 1pm. The reason why I can't remember is because you will hear excuse after excuse after excuse from them for why they are late, or why they didn't show up. Anyway, I don't want to write a novel, so here's the short of it. Since March 2012, my oven has yet to be fixed. I tried repeatedly to schedule a time for them to come back out to fix my oven (which I've already paid for). At first they provided excuses like the repairman got in an accident, we lost your appointment, we didn't confirm your appt, etc. After a while, they don't even bother with excuses and don't show up or call. Like some of the other reviews out there, I'm not sure why I was so stupid to fall for their lies. They claim to have 40+ technicians, but I believe they only have 1. He claims he's the owner of the company, which is probably why he comes to the appointments in a nice Lexus sedan. I've never seen a van, as others have described. I forget the guy's name (probably for good reason) but he is the most dishonest and devious man I've ever met. He got me to shell out $400, but that's my own stupidity for not putting on the breaks after several red flags during the first initial estimation. He was trying to get me to pay the money upfront - stated that they had to order parts, and have been burned in the past where people cancel on them and then they're stuck with the parts. Fine, I get it. But during that conversation, he said that if I paid on my credit cared and they don't come back to do the service, I can always call the credit card company and rebut the charges and get my money back. Wow. I've never known anyone to offer this bit of advice to their customers. Don't even get me started on "Michael" the guy who answers the phone. He's rude, and is very defensive. He's got every excuse in the world and is so fake, you can see it through the phone. I really don't know how people like this can live with themselves everyday. I think perhaps it's because they actually don't think they are bad people. Bottom line, STAY AWAY!!!! DO NOT USE THEM. When I have the time, I will create a website that will warn people of this business. There are plenty of other appliance services out there that are honest people with integrity.
Description of Work: They were supposed to fix the door to my oven. The hinge was supposed to be replaced, as well as the thermometer inside. At the time of the estimation, the guy said he was charging me $400 because he needed to have 2 guys come out next time to pull the entire oven out to fix the hinge. He came back out with just him, fixed the hinge in 10 minutes and supposedly replaced the thermometer. I asked him repeatedly if another guy was coming to help him, he said yes, and no one ever came out. The over door is not fixed, and who knows if he really did anything to the thermometer.

I am furious! I am the landlord and set the appt for them to look at a washing machine at one of my properties. I went ahead and gave them my business credit card while I had it in front of me and they took that to mean they had a blank check!! I expected to receive a phone call once they diagnosed the problem, but instead received a receipt in my email inbox for $404!!! I immediately called and expressed my GREAT displeasure with the fact that I was not called before the repair was made because I would have NEVER authorized such a large amount on a 10 year old washing machine! I could easily buy another washing machine for that price!!! The man on the phone continuously argued with me saying that because I gave them a credit card number I authorized the repair to which I said it is only common sense that you would call the owner before making a $404 repair on a 10 year old washer!!! It was not until I threatened to dispute my credit card charge that I finally was able to get a discount from them, but only for half the labor cost ($67) so the total repair was still $337! Steer clear of this company!!!!!

I had a Haier wine cooler that stopped working. After agonizing about whether to drag the existing one to the curb and buy a new one for $400 or try to repair the existing one, I decided to give appliance geeks a shot at repairing it. After arriving 45 min. late, the technician said he could repair it for $300. I thought that was a little expensive, but the service visit alone was going to cost me $95.They asked for payment in advance, and like an idiot I paid. It is bend over 6 weeks now and I'm still trying to get my wine cooler back. Most of the time, you get their answering machine when you call. Don't expect a return call, because you won't get one. When you do finally get a person on the phone, you get a series of excuses. Here are the excuses I've received (in order)1. We're sorry, we were a little bit backed up, but now were ready to work on yours.2.. We had to order additional parts3. We broke something else while loading it on the truck to deliver to you4. The technician that does that repair isn't i right now. Don't get scammed by these folks. You may end up like me, out several hundred dollars and no idea if or when I may actually receive back a working appliance.

Very unsatisfactory experience. Made an on-line appointment for between 8 - 10 AM on Friday 4/29. This time was confirmed the day prior by the company. By 10:45 on day of appointment, no call or appearance by technician, I phoned and e-mailed to request whereabouts. Technician phoned approximately 11:15 AM to say he was "running an hour behind" - whatever that means. Was after noon when truck drome up to my residence. Technician remained in vehicle for 15020 minutes on telephone. Finally rang doorbell at nearly 12:30. Complained of how much computer time he had to spend doing paperwork. Took 5 minutes to tell me the dryer belt needed replaced, but he didn't have part - could I wait until tomorrow? I'd supplied make and model of appliance in on-line appointment interview, and described exactly what was wrong (dryer drum didn't turn) in the same interview. When I declined to wait another day for their repair, the technician wanted to argue that I should do it - "because you're going to pay me $90.00 anyway". After my comment that I could buy a new dryer for $300.00, he asked me to donate my appliance (to him?) This REALLY stuck in my craw. I would never use this company again. They charge higher than top dollar for their services, and then to attempt to coerce a homeowner to donate to the staff is highly unprofessional. After stewing with my frustration for a couple of hours, I decided to stop payment on the check I had been forced to give the technician I discovered that he had cashed the check the minute he left my house - not even endorsed to the company. Can't believe people can get away with what was a 95.00 theft.

Tech was courteous and professional, seemed competent. "Between 8 and 12" apparently means 12:30. Labor charge seemed extremely high relative to prior experience with other service providers. $300 to install a part that is available online for $83; tech was at our home for 1.5 hours. Oddly, full payment was required in advance after inspecting the unit, before ordering a part. We will shop around next time before calling these guys. I wish we had not misplaced the contact information for the firm we had previously used!

After waiting almost 3 weeks for the part to be delivered we had difficulty in getting it installed. I will stay with the larger repair companies with sufficient parts and service people to get the job finished.
Description of Work: When we requested service on our 10 year old washing machine it was explained that most parts are readily available. The fabric softener dispenser was leaking water but our model (Sears Kenmore) was not in stock.
