Description of Work: I had leaks in my pipes under the slab. The plumber, Ken, who deserves an "A" for everything he did, said they would tunnel under the 2 bathrooms and replace the pipes. He suggested having their foundation guys check to see if it should be shored up while the had the opening. The foundation guy wouldn't return my call until Ken stepped in. He finally came and said they could put a few concrete pilings under there, but it would be a month and a half before they could do it. A hole under my house in the winter for a month & a half?! | |Now I've been calling since December for a final bill & a warranty. I've spoken with Neil countless times and left a message for the manager to call me back. This was supposed to happen after he got out of a meeting last Thursday!! The worst business I have EVER dealt with!

Description of Work: I need to change this review to an F. I decided to try a competitor for service. I purchased a new Lennox a/c heating unit 5 years ago from Strand Brothers. I was informed that the coils were from another less costly manufacturer and not covered under Lennox warranty. A new one will cost $1,500. They also did not notice that the freon was leaking because the maintenance person did not tighten the valve properly. This cost me almost $400 to replace. I was also informed that since Strand Brothers sold their company, they purchased another Austin company called Stan's Heating and Air. So beware!

Description of Work: I had this company come to give me an extimate to fix a clog and install a new faucet; their price was $400 +. Needless to say I used someone else as the estimate was not reasonable at all. I did use another company which was over $200 less.

Description of Work: Tech is very professional and honest. He told me that based on the age of my water heater pipe/coil if I have him flushed it will be damaged so the best solution for me right now is to leave it alone until the pipe/coil have to be replaced. He told me about an incident that happened to a lady whose water heater pipe/coil was damaged because of its age just like mine and that she wanted it to be flushed and sure enough it was damaged. He said that in exchange he will perform water inspection to make sure there is no leak anywhere in the house.

Description of Work: They were polite, on time, and explained things. However, the last impression I have is from the bill. It's been a while since we've had a plumber out and I definitely experienced sticker shock. They did show me prices up front when they arrived, so it I knew it was not going to be pretty. With plumbing issues you don't have much of a choice though; you need it fixed when you need it fixed. Again, it has been a while since we've had a plumber come, so I'm no sure how their prices compare to the prices of other companies.
