I think they did a pretty good job for me. The technicians were very clean and neat and I have not had any problems with the unit since the installation. It seems like they like the work that they do and if I would need them again, I would call them.

I found this company's information on Angie's List. I have heard they have a reputation for not cheating the customer on the price. They took care of my air-conditioning system and were also helpful in recommending the proper filter, I should be using.

I was very impressed as Strands didn t try to oversell me. They were also very prompt and they fixed the problem easily. They have a truly great service at a terrific price. I highly recommend them to others.

Davis is wonderful! The first company that came said the whole unit needed to be replaced, but Davis said they could fix it with the 2 parts (one part was $80, and we were only charged $165 total!) They were great!

On time, conscientious and courteous, cleaned up and followed up on results. Changed out some old ducts, added new and overall improvements made our 16 year old large house now stay cooler for less.

A problem occurred after the work was done and I was contacted directly by James at Stand Brothers and they went above and beyond to fix the problem.

Technician figured out quickly the cause of problem and ordered part and fixed it.

He had the switch in the attic unit removed and rewired on a temporary basis as he did not have the actual switches in his truck. I had to go to the store and get one (59 cents!) and have a neighbor put it on but that saved me a trip from an electrician to do it. My only complaint is that he said they have this happen about 12 times a year and so I would think they would have them on hand in the truck.

Courteous, professional work. An unexpected problem with my AC closet construction made this job take longer than planned, but they did not charge anything extra. There were a few minor problems with the job: a grey flex duct line was left laying across the furnace exhaust pipe, which they fixed promptly after I mentioned it. The door sill of my AC closet was badly scuffed and chipped during the installation of the new AC. A newly installed register was caulked all around the outside, which looks messy and will make it difficult to service this register in the future. But overall I feel that I got good service for my money and I will consider hiring Davis again in the future.

They were only running a few minutes late coming to install but called before which was nice. Everything went smoothly and they were clean and thorough. They hauled the old unit away to recycle. I was impressed with service.

They were prompt and courteous. Josh was professional and appeared to perform the repairs and service competently.

He was very pleasant and informative about the operation of the equipment. He showed up within 30 minutes of my call. He offered me a service contract but did not pressure me to sign up right away. It was an overall good experience.

The installers did a wonderful job, and the system works wonderfully. When they werent able to get the model they ordered for our home on time, they gave us an upgrade free of charge.

From the beginning I got good vibes. Louis listened to my story, suggested starting with a diagnostic evaluation instead of proceeding with a tune up like the other company insisted. Then he told me I'd find an applicable $20 coupon on their website! Turns out we only needed a refrigerant system balance, which cost a fraction of what the other company quoted the unit needed. I like honesty in a company, and they provided it.

Service was very prompt. Tech was thorough and polite if not very talkative. He did explain the problem and did not try to sell me other goods or services.

I still think that they should provide ballpark estimates over the phone, since they claim "catalog pricing," or else not charge to come out for an estimate. But the company did everything they could do short of changing company policy to make me happy, and they should get some snaps for that.

The repair technician was very professional and honest. He worked with me, knowing my limited budget. I would highly recommend them.

The technician was a little late, but I was thrilled that they could come out on the day I called. He stayed until late at night to find the problem, so we could turn our A/C back on. It had been over 100 degrees that day. The attic was unbearably hot, but he didn't hesitate to work up there for several hours. He was very polite and apologized for being late. I was very pleased with the service and price. I will call them again whenever I have an A/C problem.

The representative that came out was on time, courteous and pleasant to deal with. He was detail oriented and took his time checking up on our system. He did end up recommending a couple of improvements, one based on updated building codes, the other based on measurements showing that the part was slowly wearing out (normal wear and tear.) We ended up doing one of the items, and not the other. There was no pressure applied from him at all. For the price, they will do two checkups, i.e. one now for the air conditioners, another when it's time to turn the heat on this fall. We are very satisfied with them in all aspects, and will continue being a customer of theirs and have already recommended them to our friends. Huge difference between the other service express company that did some warranty work for us last year.

The work was fast. The tech was friendly and cheerful. He gave me some tips on keeping the A/C pipes clear in the future. I was not charged extra for an "after hours" call.

When the air-conditioning stops working during August in Texas, you start to panic. I found Strand Bros on Angie's List and all of the kudos are fully deserved. They came out on a Saturday--earlier than the estimated time. The problem was quickly identified and fixed. Within half an hour of the technician being here, we were already cooler. The prices were very reasonable and the coupon was accepted without any difficulty. Angie's List came to the rescue and Strand Bros is exactly the kind of company you want to deal with in an emergency.

When our heat pumps were installed, we were so impressed with the workmanship and the professionalism of the workers that we decided later to get the maintenance agreements in which they come out twice a year to check everything over, clean the equipment and do anything which the heat pumps might need. Each time they come out, we are impressed with the politeness of the workers and the thoroughness of their work. They always are very particular as to how neat they leave our house after they complete their job. This is all very important to us because we have lived in our house for 30 years and this is the first time we have had heating/air conditioning with which we have not had a lot of trouble and a company that we can trust and depend on. It is nice also to have a company you can call and a family member answers the phone.

Called Strand Brothers based on recommendations on here. Their basic price for an emergency house call was 107 but they had a $20 coupon on their website. Technician informed me that the drain hose was clogged. He discovered that it was just kinked in 2 places and jammed under the outside unit. After straightening, it drained right away. Rather than charge me the standard $80 for unclogging the hose, he just shortened the hose so that it drains properly and only charged me for the house call. He gave me many tips for properly maintaining my A/C system. Upon mentioning that I planned on having my system tuned up by them later, he took a look at it and taught me how to seal up some gaps in the air duct on my own, saving me $200! He could have just as easily said, ''I can do the tune-up next week. Call and schedule an appointment.'' A little goes a long way...the $200 dollars they didn't make from me this time around will come back to them in gaining a loyal long-term customer!

I would use Strand Bros again and have already recommended them to my daughter (who used them & is also recommending them) and others. They do not offer a senior discount, but do offer coupons (which I unfortunately did not have!). They made a bad situation much better by being so prompt and keeping their prices reasonable.

The technicians were friendly, efficient, and conscientious.
