Strand Brothers Service Experts

Great. I don't ask much, I don't even care if a company is the cheapest. I do care for quality work, responsiveness, communication, and pride in their work. Strand Brothers sent out one of the brothers, who was honest and was not pushy at all. He told me not to do an inline filter for some reason I don't remember. He said it would be a waste of money with my system. He said something similar in regards to energy efficiency. Essentially he said that retrofitting my house would be even more inefficient. So I hired them. They came on time, they did good work, they cleaned up after themselves, and they were polite. They then sent one of the senior guys back out to inspect the work. There was something he didn't like with the configuration of the pipes. So he went to his truck and fixed it. No charge, no complaining, no ignoring the problem.

I called at 8:00 in the morning the day after Thanksgiving on the second cold day of the season. They originally told me that someone would be out between 4 and 7, but were able to fit me in at around noon. I was very pleased with the way this was handled. The technician was very nice and professional, and within about 15 minutes he had figured out that the unit wasn't getting any power due to a broken switch (just a normal electrical switch outside the unit, not anything inside the unit). He then quoted me 100 dollars to replace the switch, which I thought bordered on robbery for a 59 cent part and 3 minutes of labor. I was expecting more like 30 dollars since he was already out there and the old switch was already taken apart. Anyhow, I went to home depot and replaced the switch myself in a couple of minutes. Overall, pleased with the service, but very displeased with the estimate. Worth the 77 bucks to get him out there I guess.

They followed through; made sure I was happy and that the system was cooling. They addressed any concerns I had promptly.

A young man named Domingo arrived on time and performed all work to my satisfaction. He was very professional and seemed to know all systems. He took time to explain what he found and left everything in a clean orderly condition.

Same day service. Technician was professional, prompt and friendly. No estimate was provided and overall bill seemed a little high for work performed.

I am extremely happy with them. They came late at night on a Sunday to assess the problem because the unit went out. They were reasonable and found the problem. They returned on Tuesday to replace the coil and did excellent work. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. We are so pleased with them and the way they went out of their way for an emergency situation even though they could not do the work that night.

They are very good; they installed both of the units originally. They have been great since we've started using them and they are very clean. They are always on time and respectful. I would recommend them. They know what they are doing and we have not had any problems with their service.

Southwest is very fair, price-wise and knowledgeable, they are master plumbers and very personable and helpful. They work quickly and the job is done well, however their response time is a little slow, so you need to call ahead, they're busy people.

They came out on time and did a great job. They were very respectful of my home and they also finished the job quickly. It didn't take long for me to contact them and have the appointment scheduled. Their customer service people are very polite. Their workmen are friendly and knowledgeable.

I scheduled the appointment one week prior to the job and it took 3 days to do the work. I was unhappy with the height of the roof vent and I am going to call them out to make sure the height meets code. If I use them next time, I will make sure that my specifications are very clear.

We were very impressed with there quick diagnosis. It took them about 10 minutes to figure out our problem, whereas the other company couldn't get it right. Strand Brothers was knowledgeable and very thorough. I was very impressed with their efficiency.

We heard a dripping noise coming from the furnace around 6:30 in the evening. I called Strand Brothers and by 7:30 a technician named Jason arrived to assess and repair the problem. He was professional, courteous and efficient.

I think that they did an ok job. I wasn't really blown away from the company's service as they really didn't do anything special to make our lives easier. They kept their appointment as scheduled but I really do think that they are more of an average company to work with.

Christian Brothers Air Conditioning is great and they come out when it fits my schedule. They are out here usually within two days after the appointment is made. Within only forty five minutes, the service on my air conditioning unit is completed.

They are expensive, but I had a few rebates and that saved me about $3,000.00 dollars. They were very prompt and responsive. I am happy with all the work they did and how efficient they were. My only complaint is their price. The tint that they suggested really helps keep the sum from beaming in and I like that.

The technician spent his time getting to know our systems. He was able to explain what he was doing and took the time to teach us some simple maintenance to keep things running better. He also shared some pointers with us about settings that would help balance the load between the two systems. His visit was a good experience that inspired confidence about company and didn't leave us feeling like we've been ripped off.

We have used them for 20 years. In fact, I just recommended them to a friend who was having an a/c emergency. They are always professional and courteous. They do high quality work and they stand behind it.

Received call from daughter that Air Conditioning unit had failed and could not be repaired. We contacted 3 companies to solict bids. Tom Strand was punctual, inspected the house and gave us his estimate. He also said that if the job was delayed he would temporarily install some window units to provide relief, the only one to offer this. The other bids were recieved, one much higher, the other tried to dazzel us with how great they were. Upon notification, Strands stated they would be able to start the following morning at 9:30. Two individuals (Greg and Jose) arrived at the stated time and completed the job of change out by 3:30 that afternoon. Duct work was than scheduled (Joseph and Vince) and completed on time, passing city inspection which allowed the insulation and remaining work to be completed. Upon completion, Strands coordinated with the city for final inspection which passed. Strands was GREAT to WORK with; all their people were professional and took pride in there job.

They charged a lot of money for the amount of work that was done and they weren't even that thorough. The gentleman that came out was very arbitrary about answering questions. All they really did correctly was showing up on time. It's not that everything was terrible only that I belive the entire expereince could have been better.

The serviceman was very professional and willing to work with us regarding the service warranty, even though we were unable to produce the paperwork at that time. The number on the air conditioning unit was his verification of the age of the unit. The part was ordered. The next day he returned again with the part, but the wrong part was sent. So the company searched over town to find the exact part and it was installed that same day. The serviceman also checked out all parts of the air conditioner to make sure everything was performing correctly.

I originally contacted Strand Brothers about installing a mini-split A/C system. I e-mailed back and forth with Gilda about it. She gave me a price quote of $4000 right off, including installation. I tried asking some follow up questions-which make and model, how much for the system and how much for labor, etc. The only additional information I was able to get out of her was the brand that they use-Mitsubishi Mr. Slim-which is one of the more common brands for mini-split systems. She set up an appointment with Mike to discuss it further. Mike was obviously very knowledgeable. Instead of spending $4000 on the mini-split, he suggested I go with a new air return. He did some calculations based on the tonnage of my system and the existing downstairs air return, and I had plenty of spare capacity. In hindsight, I wish I had gone with the mini-split instead. We would have more precise control of the temp upstairs, and I wouldn't have to hide the ductwork.

We pay a flat fee every year for their services. Our unit was in tough shape and we had one company tell us we need a whole new system but these guys came out and repaired it. They also let us know that we didn't need to purchase a whole new one. I really appreciate that. I felt they were very honest with me.
